Vintage Shopping in TOKYO, Prices, What I Bought… | Tamara Kalinic

[Music] [Applause] [Music] thank you hello my lovelies and welcome to Tokyo with me this is actually our last day in Tokyo and today I decided to bring you with me to do some vintage shopping when I say winter shopping it's not necessarily just the Vintage stuff it also sometimes happens to be brand new pieces also kind of like from recent collections but then you just might find that majority of the stuff is going to be vintage now I know because even though it's my first time in Tokyo we have spent a few days roaming around and I've seen some of my favorite shops and I have done some shopping already so it's not going to be the best day that we're going shopping but it's our last day so I wanted to bring you to the shops that were my favorite so far and the ones where I managed to find the most stuff I also wanted to tell you that at the end of this video I'm gonna show you what I got and explain why and kind of like the whole kind of toast process behind each and every piece [Music] okay guys we are currently at cool vintage Tokyo and the window looks like this they have a really great amount of Chanel I would say and Hermes as well upstairs as well right where bags loads of things so let's check it out if you guys you've seen this place because we've been here before wow these welds and chokers the amount of earrings it's crazy these sort of like a classic flat button earrings they're very very very popular [Music] Filippo is loving this one ah no this one is very cool but this is impractical yeah wow the choice is quite overwhelming I'm not gonna lie all right [Music] it's just like uh pick it up and then you hold it on your hands like this you know you like it I mean it's not expensive it's just that I'm not sure about it 100. [Music] there is a whole wall of Louis Vuitton this is a very very popular one baby oh baby look at this one as suchino it's a pencil case guys I love stationery and pencil cases also a lot of the tiny little spds they're very popular they have many so you can choose Steven Sprouts collection the denim backpack I feel like you would like this oh no this is amazing nude it's like a hawk like a travel bag yeah but you know this is like a cut and right difficulties with the pack because it's like bottomless you put in the car for a car or for the train or it's a very good condition the leather Parts yeah like a shoulder strapping yeah see wow look at this there's quite a bit of Chanel right to wear yeah it's Flippo really wanted me to get it this one yeah actually he loves to eat things brilliant but it's actually quite scratched you see yeah but that's beautiful look that's what makes it what I like is this Chanel collection it reportings this is like a very vintage looking very cool just Vibes maybe I love this t-shirt yeah yeah you like it we just found out that these tops are 10 off on top of what we are paying as well as step three which feels great then I haven't seen this amount of Lady Dior vintage bags actually really love them love them love them I know that many of you will love these they're quite cool but quite too Y2K for me so not not in my personal style but really cool so many beautiful pieces wow I was just looking at this piece here because it's amazing keys and I love the color the people also loves that bag and I know that he loves that one he likes like obviously like very vintage looking unusual bags which I mean he's right that's kind of the whole point of it right otherwise you can just stick to the new stuff in the boutique that's why OOTD I really love the clothes the crisp and denim jeans but I just know myself I'm probably never gonna wear it you know however it's really gorgeous look at these um barrettes hair clips I love that I would love to get something like this but Chanel version this is really really cool I have to say there's one dream item on my wishlist from like all the Vintage stuff from Chanel but I never really find it available and it is the graffiti backpack from Carl era that's just so good this is beautiful I love the suede foreign [Music] it's pretty cool okay I will keep it on my mind and we will come back for it wow also kind of cool but I never wear orange really more or less who knows that changes from season to season [Music] okay guys a very very popular vintage shop is Amore there is always a queue I think it's because it's been overpopularized by tiktok they have like a huge array of Chanel bags like honestly huge amount I'm gonna have a look now the amount of Chanel bags there it's like insane however there's always a cute I love the denim bags urges I don't know if you can see you can see that and also so many backwards but reality is like I wasn't really sure about the bags I don't know I don't want to say anything but it didn't really give me The Vibes however they had so many connection already to wear pieces as well and if I remember well there was no Hermes whatsoever in in here [Music] guys we're currently a virgin because we've been here already and this is the rate Workshop where you actually have to put like slippers when you enter [Music] Philippa loves this store because also it has many Chrome Hearts they have so many sets like this kind of set I love the coconut but guys I mean I'm really looking forward to skiing look at this fabulous fantastic as that guy would say found something he likes to it is cool [Music] Filippo is not liking his jacket it's uh it's not what he likes but what he likes might be this one [Music] he clearly has a type this guy laughs Chrome Hearts wow drippy drippy droopy also just for your uh info we're at Casanova vintage one of Filippo's favorite places in Japan he absolutely loves this place and he came extra for this from his hometown Padova which is a really really small town in Italy might not know it this is Tommy Tommy is the gem Hunter of small town in England called Brighton which is okay Kenny is thinking of buying this bag slouchy I also tried on this middle bag as well it was so fun but I know that I would never wear it so you know so much good art guys there's so many vintage shops honestly you won't believe it okay guys we are back from Tokyo as you can obviously tell and I sort of wanted to close the circle with what I've shown you in the previous like in the Tokyo Vlog and in this video which was mainly the vintage shopping now I promise you that on every single Corner when you go to Japan you'll find like a shop selling sort of like a pre-loved a luxury group sometimes they're not even pre-loved they're brand new but they're being resold I'm gonna start from the beginning as I think I've really touched upon in this video I wasn't really going to buy any Hermes bags for several reasons one of the reasons is that I feel like I don't need to I have been building and developing my relationships at a Mass for as long as I can remember and I just I almost feel like I don't know it's like this kind of like crazy like low guilty inside of me which is completely unjustifiable I don't know why but I just feel like there's no need for me to shop on the second market like if there was an item that I was trying to get my essay to give me and she's just like not willing or if I want like let's say breaking 25 in gold and I really really want it but I just can't get it perhaps I would resort to that option but at the moment I just felt like there was no need so that was like Fast reason the second reason was that after getting robbed it's like a whole other story that I really have to give you guys an update on I have to like touch upon that I feel like it's a very important two years later part that I need to share with you because I have managed to get some closure on the topic and I want to share that with you as well but after that happened I just felt like sometimes you don't really know what that particular bag comes from and I'm sure in Japan because Japan is like there's like basically from what I managed to hear and learn from locals and friends and read online there's basically no crime it's like a very safe country very ethical country like young Generations they're very very dedicated to working learning you know growing in all the like good developed country ways right so I felt very safe like shopping that and and really great in so many different ways but I just like personally at this point wasn't ready to go for that however there is one RMS model that I would definitely go for in a Winter Market that would be like very battered maybe not very battered but a Kelly box I would have loved to have a Kelly box that's kind of vintage because I think that's just so so so cool I mean also a new one would be an option but I just think like a little videos one is oh I I would be open to getting one for sure the prices were pretty good comparing to in general how second Market gets so you could find like something for from 10 000 Euro to 16 I think was the most expensive one that I saw well if we don't count like the picnic that was like 40. but you know what I mean like things like that basically much better prices than in Europe and same goes for Chanel bags they were like really great prices because like for two okay you could get like a nice Chanel bag but the thing was or is is also like the situation of Yana now because yen is quite weak which is very unfortunate for Japanese people there was that situation that people who were earning in other currencies and coming like Travelers tourists they could actually benefit from that so the currency exchange was quite favorable for us the second day I think we were gonna go to Chrome hearts in Harajuku which is where I bought what did I buy in Chrome Hearts I bought a pair of sunglasses wait let me show them to you it's one of these I just need to check which one it is no not this one this one you've already seen before I got these I think around my birthday I love them so much but it's not them I got these cynia got them in black and I got them in this kind of Goldy color they feel very sturdy they're sort of like oval shaped Chrome Heart sunglasses I love Chrome Heart sunglasses yes they're quite pricey but I really really like this anyway I got this in Ginza from Hearts we literally went to Old Chrome Hearts there were when it comes to shopping in Tokyo I really enjoyed it we didn't really go to like the shops like Chanel Vuitton Gucci Etc because like I live in Europe I don't I don't really go to Japan to go to shops like those we went to Dover Street Market which also yes we have in London but in Tokyo is where it's at like wow I promise you if like you need a shopping tour guide this is your shopping tour guide you need to go to Dollar Street Market it was just insane like Come Together songs we saw like isimiyake we saw Sakai like such amazing fits everything was just wow wow wow I think over seven floors or so it is and it's just so cool it is like even if you don't want to go shopping it's a like a place that you go to see kind of like Harrods in London in a London way but it's not like that you know what I mean like so when you're in London you have to go to Harrah to see it even if you're not going to shop just to see it because it's kind of like a London thing right that's how it is like Dora Street Market it's just like not like carrots you know what I mean it's kind of like Japanese it's so cool it was like Wow and what the sales associates were wearing I was just getting so inspired it was so cool I loved it anyway you have to go if you go go to the North Street Market so that's my recommendation also Chrome hearts and Ginza is really good where I got my sunglasses we went one in Harajuku as well and another one we really should want three filipo got like a wallet he got a chain you got like a few things and then when it comes to Winter shopping they were like favorite two stores of mine one was cool vintage and the other one was kazanova vintage those two so there were like two other shops that will I will try and find the name and I will list them in the description box below now cool vintage is like two-story store it's literally across the road from from Amora vintage on every single vintage shop guide that I went and everybody everybody recommended a more Advantage everybody it is probably the one with the biggest selection and they're like two one has like a huge amount of Ms one is like you have to climb a flight of stairs and the other one is like the Chanel one that I've shown you that has also ready to wear downstairs first of all there's always a queue to get into a more of integer I think that's because of all of these like tick tocks and online guides and second of all is just that for me personally it just felt a little bit like everything was so exhibited it wasn't like a little treasure hunt which is what I like to feel when I go to other winter shops everything was just so like exhibited clearly and I didn't enjoy it as much as I did the other places maybe because it's over hyped and maybe because of Yen's value maybe people already went there because so popular and shopped all the good stuff so the staff as well edamore I found a little bit more expensive than anywhere else that we went I have to say also haggling didn't really work like you know it is what it one great thing about shopping in Tokyo is you get tax-free but you don't get tax-free like forms and you go to the airport you have to claim you have to show your goods you just get tax free you have to bring your passport like physical passport they're going to do all the paperwork for you you have to sign like a kind of declaration form and that's it you pay the tax-free price so when you're buying the item you are already paying the tax free Price which I think is brilliant can we please have that also everywhere around the world because that's really helpful anyway besides that like I said we went to a few other different shops cool vintage has a vast selection of RMS upstairs as well but I personally wasn't really going for our masses you guys so I loved what they had from Chanel so I got something really crazy and I think you've probably seen me try it on in the other Vlog it's already been tested and it's this huge Chanel like uh what was this that called shopping thought I remember at the beginning of my vlogging days I wanted this bag but in a normal version like not in a travel version I'll insert a picture of it never got it I remember it used to be like 2 000 pounds LOL now it's probably like 20 000 anyway so this is basically your travel bag and I am obsessed first of all it has obviously the shoulder straps which are great but on the back it has a huge Mona Lisa pocket where you can put your passport to a wallet and your boarding passes which proved really really useful for me but I also inside it has one Zippy pocket and one normal pocket which you just I don't know it's obviously quite vintage and used and worn but not like scratched or anything like that the shoulder straps are removable I mean why would you remove them though I don't know but I am obsessed with this bag here we go I think it was such a good purchase obviously there is a kilting and like the CC emboss logo but it's kind of I don't want to say subtle obviously if you wear it this way around there's almost like no logo and I love it now I'm sure you're gonna wonder how much we paid for this bag and it was basically 3K which I think like 3000 Euro for this bag I know it's a lot of money obviously but for a Chanel bag which would cost like Millions it's crazy that was Philip was fine I have to also be honest Filippo found it he was like we need to get this bag I love this bag love it love it love it so we found that bag at cool vintage I also got two T-shirts there from Chanel 2003 collection guys it's a collection that Carl Lagerfeld did in 2003 and that kind of collection like it's just wow I'm sure you've seen it like all over internet you've seen it all around the world I got two one extreme size 42 because like it has a zipper I will try them on maybe tomorrow and insert the fit here because right now I don't know where they are and I need to ask our home manager to help find like see where they are because I haven't actually unpacked my like just but anyway so that was the first purchase the two T-shirts that I really really really love when I tried them on Philippe was like actually very impressive because yes they have like a bit of logo like one has a logo on the back they other one has like a small one kind of like this but at the bottom but it's really not that visible on the other day of winter shopping I saw at Casanova vintage something that I really really liked you could have seen that as well now we went to both stores the one is where you had to put the slippers on that's like mainly ready to wear and the Hermes bags actually also saw some like really cool Air Max bags there and the price was really good I saw the Box broken it was like 11 12K which is basically like the same prices in the store it's crazy but anyway after the rate well shop where Filippo got a t-shirt we went to the other one which was with Handbags and they have mainly Chanel bags I would say a lot of play are the ton one of the Chanel graffiti backpack now if you ever see one let your girl know because when it came out I could not afford it I really wanted it but it was completely out of my possibility for me to get it so now I want it because I wanted it then but I couldn't have it and it's such a special piece it reminds me of the beginning of my blogging career as well as obviously it's a Carl agricult master so at cool vintage on the first round of shopping I saw this like gorgeous top handle kind of like a miniature flap which was like black velvet it was 8 000 Euros I was like I'm so sorry this is out of every single budgets and budgety budgets like I was like this is a mega mega mega no no like you know what I mean if I was to get like a Chanel bag it would be like a video it would be under 2K Mark like there was just like no no no wait and actually I saw something that I really really like at Casanova handbag selection and it is this bag I think you've seen me try it on as well it is so gorgeous it is like really beautiful with like Mona Lisa smile at the back this top handle that I think is so gorgeous it has the Gold Hardware has back in the days they used to this is the dust bag inside and the best part is inside is like brown and there we go has a little back pocket it's so Q2 guys I love it and I think this is such a perfect vintage bag it fits nothing for sure wouldn't fit a phone but like you know your cards your keys and a lipstick and that's it I really love it you can obviously wear it like this or like that and bags like this I think when you go for vintage bags you want to buy something that doesn't look like something you can buy in a shop now you know if I'm buying vintage I don't want to get like that kind of pink classic flap you know that's just me unless I want like rare pieces like or special pieces that are you know cute so obviously this the other one that I wanted was velvet and it was like more than four times more expensive which I think this was like such a great find later on and it's perfect I think the little one I can even wear more then I can wear the Velvet one so that is it I'm wrapping up I think Tokyo shopping adventures I also have to say that we did go to Hermes in Ginza and we did ask for the bags because as you guys know my fiance he always asks me because he always says that if you don't ask you don't get and he's never embarrassed of asking but they were like no like there wasn't even like an option it was a mega no I was not gonna buy like neverminds back in Japan to be honest but it was just an interesting experience I'm sad we didn't go to Chanel because I heard this like seven story one just to see it as like a museum but you know like when you're in a new place you want to see like different things that I didn't want to go and see something that I have in Europe as well so yeah that's that let me know I mean I'm definitely gonna go back to Japan let me know what else I should check out if there's something also like three days before we went into shopping Kim Kardashian went in the shopping and I'm sure she went to all those same stores so she probably bought like all the best stuff you know what I mean nothing was left for us I'm sure but anyway I'm very very happy with what I got because then he also got some really lovely things so overall that
