and here's we are again with a game called gas station simulator [Music] which i hear is another game that is just ridiculously high effort for its concept i don't really know why i'm playing this but here we are again and i guess we'll see if it's any good [Music] wait a minute did the barn finders people make this hmm well in any case thank you for joining i'm going to find out who made this game in just a second but the art on this loading screen looks kind of familiar i always thought to myself what would be the most amazingly mundane thing you could turn into a video game and this was at least fifth on my list [Music] man already visually it looks a lot better than i was expecting [Music] led my dog to an old [Music] twelve hours little yeah crazy mouse i'll never understand how there was a time when i actually played games with crazy mouse sensitivity even this is like a little too much truthfully but i learned to slow it right down for uh counter strike kunt as uh as everyone says gonna find out who made this one second they made treasure hunter simulator which i've played winter survival simulator food truck simulator and red frost which is not out yet okay drago entertainment so i thought they maybe had something to do with barn finders but um no snake toy is pretty cool you can wiggle you can jiggle you can scribble and you can uh put it back down gun huh is that to shoot varmints or explode them you know what that's a fine place for that gun oops hulk strength [Music] but what i got a high score for missing the dumpster well it's a pretty night out oh look random plane huh what a nice detail that is again effort i give the game an a .5 for effort right about now so it's like many simulator games you buy a dump or you you inherit a dump and then you have to perform the task at hand and then you turn the place from a dump into a gold mine and then you drink your milkshake follow the high voltage cable and find a way to turn on the electricity well if you say well this is a fine looking video game so far there's a city in the distance is that tucson arizona or is it tucks in arizona [Music] whoa [Music] you need twenty sorry five dollars to win don't know what engine this game was made in but i am very curious just a nice looking vista you know like the hills have like uh different tones to them with the light the way it affects the the way the distance looks like the horizon it's not the best looking game ever but for gas station simulator yeah it's pretty good i like graphics remove the sand piles in front of the gas pump hold left shift to turbo find a way to refuel rudy kind of wish my legs had a turbo button new plane is wait that's the same as the old plane game is there's no way any plane would ever look like another plane press lmb to place jerrycan is full sorry did i miss something why are these exhaust pipes molten oh man wait who is my character there he is john character john character cowboy extraordinaire except not a real cowboy like a kid rock cowboy a kid rock more like kid oh i see what that is okay so now i have to figure out how to remove the damn sand pile this thing just burns through gas doesn't it oh okay it chuzzles it just chuzzles right on through gas god i hope i don't have to do a lot of this i mean that that's all well and good but you know it's kind of weird sand disposal pit you know it's all kind of weird i feel like this is some kind of beetlejuice precursor like this is his desert graveyard where beetlejuice infinitely [Music] okay you can open and close the gas station at any time and then you can do that and and do do it refill your fuel supplies using the pc delivery fuel supply order your order is less than 100 units well i'll be damned [Music] i ordered minimal fuel that's probably a smart business decision test your skills in the arcade while you wait for the next assignment oh that's just straight up one of your early objectives you know what i'm getting kind of sick of these simulator games being too good i want my simulator games to be like jank and extremely glitchable finish the race to a 20 reward who pays out the arcade cabinet itself [Music] again high quality there is some quality here [Music] the hell i thought that was a werewolf god oh god well there is no way i'm making that 20 bucks good how does it have these hydraulic wheels [Music] okay i'm good upgrade unlocked sprint that's the fuel truck what year did this drive out of no really i i couldn't place the design it's very deco john refueller man that's him wait it kind of looked a little bit like elon musk yo where are you going alternate reality monk [Music] go ahead just drive trust me i played cyberpunk i know how this goes it's fine left shift will boost the speed okay it's like a little mini game off you go human yeah hold the steering wheel hold it while driving very nice very nice i can't place what year this game takes place but yet there's arcade cabinets with like an internet trash bag purchased by holding tab oh [Music] collect small items in the trash bag oh man if it was only this easy where you can put that much in a small trash bag and like stuff that doesn't even fit in the trash bag [Music] oh it's uh pretty i don't know it works well enough i guess up all this trash who who owned this place that they just let this trash pile up like this oh customer empty the trash cans inside dispose of uh trash bags and old furniture again much more in depth i mean it's a quote-unquote simulator but then again you know i played goat simulator also the game i am fish has released which uh was one of the bossa games that i played when they were trying to figure out which one they should make a full one of it's apparently a decent game i think pigeon simulator was one of the three if i'm not mistaken and then i guess they stuck with um i am fish much like i am bread or thank fighting thank you yeah graphics here we go graphics time this is the part of the game that didn't get a whole lot of attention good buy a broom sweep the floor why are games like this so weirdly like entertaining though is it some kind of zen thing okay in the movie synecdoche new york philip seymour hoffman his character cleans in order for him to kind of occupy his mind and forget about his life for a while and that's what he does he cleans and it becomes an even like weirder plot line when he turns into someone else that their whole job is to clean but that's that movie's crazy so but there is something to that like i feel a weird sense of peace when cleaning so i get it it becomes like an all-encompassing task you occupy your time you have a goal there's a completion time unless you live in you know this place but yeah you can actually complete this goal and if you do a good job you're rewarded with living in a slightly better environment for yourself i'm sure it will be a doozy and loads of fun to just hang out in the back of that guy's truck just go for a ride see the world but that is not what i need to be doing right now i need to clean this place up place is filthy and as i mentioned cleaning gives you something to do there's a distinct sense of accomplishment when you're done oh great off so it's unreal engine 4 and it just crashed [Music] all because a table went through a dumpster god damn it uh a lot of this stuff didn't save the dumpster kind of emptied itself which was very nice of the game to do but all this now this is the nightmare so cleaning gives you a sense of peace and there's a goal and when you're done you feel good but then there's the nightmare scenario where you clean and then you have to clean again or you're midway through cleaning or you're almost done and then all the crap gets reset that's not okay at all it turns out though having to clean again is as i've learned a thing that happens you you tend to clean your environment and then like a week later you live in filthville careful there table i don't need you crashing my game again metallica was right fuel status is low we already have to order a new fuel we'll get a broom that arrives instantly which is the goal of every online distributor order has been reduced to match your capacity yeah all right well hey this this isn't going to be like power wash simulator but again it works it's almost satisfying even if the stuff just kind of disappears but yeah an apocalypse now marlon brando goes and uh i don't know his delivery in that line kinda makes me laugh task completed my my my butthole speaking of butthole i have been re-watching more beavis and butthead it's still funny i don't get it i don't get it you know there's obviously my perspective that i'm talking about here but beefus and butthead there's something universal about it but these people really just kind of glitch out when they're moving there's something about like stupidity that really is universal and the way that show handles it i don't know how to explain it but it's kind of almost an intelligent like stupidity specifically i'm thinking about um the episode where they have to feed the baby bird where beavis like regurgitates into the baby bird's mouth just as an example um oh god there was another episode that that made me i was like wait a minute that's pretty good i guess there's a reason that show i always in my mind because i hadn't watched it since it first aired was like oh because they watched music videos and then they laughed a lot they went but it's more to it than that garbage collection the is this dennis will occasionally appear at the station and paint graffiti on the wall stop him by throwing items at him to scare him off what do you mean dennis are you kidding me what the is this get out of here what items do i have to throw at him [Music] how about this dennis how about i get my rifle and fire warning shot new innovative form of graffiti that just like spews gasp into the air buy a roller and paint the scribbled walls the station will degrade over time again i guess sort of like real life but no sir i don't like it uh that's not the right color i want to paint it the same shitty color that this is no it's not good not good it's not good i mean i appreciate all the little mini games that are you know everyday tasks translated to minigames that's one way to do it uh but man it just just effectively be you know maybe maybe norm's final performance as a slime i liked his his real life um cameo in that show and you know it like you know seth macfarlane cast nor mcdonald's not just because of the voice i mean yeah that too but like also i he just probably wanted to hang out with norm [Music] mcfinland block picking hey i've done this before i know how to do this oh it literally is skyrim like genuinely is just skyrim got it oh god i kind of like this game god damn it got some shelves level ones soft drinks and snacks and stuff [Music] wouldn't you want the soft drinks to be refrigerated maybe caution area under construction i only kind of wish that there was a little bit of an easier way to snap this directly to the wall without having to guess like how your rotation was because that that does not look good but it looks good when i'm placing it i guess that's better i guess that's better buy an additional parking space via your computer you cannot make a purchase well the unreal engine explains why some of this actually looks really good but there's make no mistake it's still a simulator game i mean you can see where the corners get cut and understandably so what is your order what is your order super again it's no bum simulator but it's pretty good parking space you need to clean it from sand however answer the call from the uncle the uncle the uncle hello i see the business is doing well i'm calling to congratulate you on successfully getting it off the ground but you can't run a business on fuel alone i've had a few of my people deliver some then instead of fixing it they just give you a massive achievement i don't know if it's massive seemed kind of massive to me though massive like this huge juicy turd sitting in the basket at all times challenges to be able to upgrade the gas station repair five cars shop customers so basically everything i've been doing just do that a whole bunch of times i was worried we'd be stranded so the the tires are 50 bucks and to replace one tire i'm voice cracking a lot at the moment but to replace one tire you make 80. so the work is is 30 bucks which i think is fair because we still have to order you know put the tires on um deal with customers while doing all the repair work [Music] turn it up [Music] oh off you definitely just got a free item every customer that i give a free item to they're like i'm not paying they pay anyway and then they get something for free and then they get upset later oh wow wow they were actually able to fix themselves okay that wheel is like broken weird [Music] that'll do it that'll do that'll do okay well instead of me getting stuck in this loop which i am currently stuck in the loop big time i think i'm gonna repair one more car and then um i'm gonna stop playing this and it has been two hours and i gotta say i really gotta slice of this game and i gotta say this game is kind of great you know for a simulator where you um run a quick a gas station or what is it a grass station it's good i wish that that garbage truck would respawn but other than that yeah this is a pretty cool one of these types of games um way more well thought out than i expected mostly functional mostly you're a lifesaver and i don't know if there's gonna be aliens but there's literally a ufo landing pad over there i mean yeah granted it's a couple two by fours but still aliens make any game better it is known barn finders knew about this and bard fighters got a full stream from me slide okay uh got all the tools this other toilet i guess you can maybe upgrade the toilet at some point there's ice cream cigarettes car care newspaper hat glasses teddy bears pastries and toys employee you can hire a new employee right here oh man i kind of want to get to that point and see what that's like popularity level up that means more customers which also means i'm gonna need a bigger parking lot which also means i'm gonna need more fuel which also means [Music] which also means that i'm going to need an employee which i can't unlock i i assume gas station level 3 maybe foreign outdoor decorations front of gas station back of gas station front sector see that was my fault earlier i spent so much damn money on decorations [Music] that i ended up running out of money and then getting my kneecaps exploded just purchased a shitty looking car stuck in the ground i shouldn't have said anything the i don't remember how to oh it's here i have to clean the parking lot first [Music] did we get the fuel [Music] god i don't even know i guess that car is supposed to bring new traffic that brings customers how much do i owe you i think we need more fuel lanes we get more employ uh more customers and we get more fuel lanes and then we get more employees wow this thing just runs out of gas as soon as you get back into it [Music] all right let's bring this over to where it has to be there we go good nice well the customer is so confused they're just like standing there dazed reeling they're just still standing in place okay so this game needs a little bit of work still just a little bit i mean it's no skateboard but a couple little things okay so now since this customer is standing in place cars can't get by [Music] damn it [Music] [Music] okay there you go you're good you're clear now great great definitely shouldn't be able to do that [Music] i was worried we'd be stranded whoa super ah can you can you move we drank the blood of some peoples [Music] oh good all right well that's nice she left at least wasn't i gonna stop playing this about like six minutes ago how'd that happen [Music] what [Music] that was good to repair a mirror and a tire 180 bucks damn oh no no no no more customers no more voice cracks please i'm sick of voice cracks okay parking lot level two and now more people can show up and not get their fuel on time because it's only one person working here [Music] oh okay i'm gonna stop for real here again if you know how to fix the um garbage truck please let me know if there is such a way to do anything like that and yeah once again this game ended up being a total surprise [Music] they just like to honk they like the pain i mean the core more about gameplay the management of the place itself and the and building it up but for what it does it does it very well it just needs some you know some patching hopefully and more turds on the floor so that'll do it for real i'm gonna stop here oh wait no we got a customer can't stop until there's no customers holy look at this chad is that a the rock tattoo
