everybody norm over here and we sit on the couch with an old friend of mine that I've known for a long time 40 years that's right the great Vince Gill we got Nick dice over here and Mark Agnetha and Vince is playing this crummy rosewood one of a kind with fingerboard rosewood from 1940 1941 that's the guitar in the covers Norm's new book right there yeah one arms holding on the cover of the book nice kill me jive red I'm told I need a literary agent and this is out here playing with this band you might not have ever heard of promise you had some good guitars out there how many did you bring because I remember there was a gold top 15 there was a burst into gold top Wow and the tele and there was the Lake Placid blue Lake Placid blue series two thin line tele that actually is a Charles Whitfield though that's not a fair and milk triple o my triple of a squad O's quad it was George Georgia we got one of those cool and they're made that they got that Indian know what does he call was something that would sinker sinker mahogany he calls it they call they found this wood from a hundred years ago whenever and they're making some guitars a yeah they really do there's you know truth truth in in the age of that wood so there is something to this old guitar say yeah there sure in my ears out lied to me yet so mark what are you hoping this is a twenty-eight triple o 45 first year for four steel string that's right so this is when they really start getting hits Tara bristle no can handle the big story and Nick over there has a no am eighteen from 1932 shaded top sorry gorgeous so that the light as a feather [Music] twisting out acoustic about kumbaya so and it's great to see it so you're enjoying the seagulls just like one after another after another just when you think they're done then Joe does a couple - solo - at Henley does it go so there's a lot of times I just looking never ends or the most Matt's been a lot of fun Glen was a great friend of mine for 35 40 years and if you close your eyes man Deacon sounds great yeah what a legacy to carry on so do you carry a lot more guitars and what marks are there I usually carry what I need and my role isn't isn't that guitar that much guitar-oriented as much it is singing as they've got Stuart Smith who's world-class guitar player then playing with him for the stuff out - yes he's played on putting on my records over the years we've been friends for over 30 years him and Joe kind of handled the majority of the of the step out stuff although you ripped a couple yeah let me have a couple so now you got a neighbor in Nashville Joe Bonamassa moved yeah Joe and I are friends have been friends a mutual friend that played my band for a long time Michael Rhodes plays bass my philosophical praise I'm making a liar Joe and I recorded some together he cut one of my songs few years ago I went playing on a couple songs on one of these records I can't remember the name of the record but that's it that's the real deal boy that kind of play yeah it's fun I've known him since he was 12 Billy's killing at that point you can tell it's in the myths guys like that absolutely so you were originally from Oklahoma and then you moved out here when you were how old 19 I came out here and joined the bluegrass band with a fiddle player named Byron Burrell right it took a lot of courage to be 19 year old 19 years old and move here but I stayed out here for about eight years I really loved it played with buying for a long time and play with your Prairie league for a few years and then started making my own records early eighties playing with other people like Rodney Crowell rosanne Cash a little bit with him Ian so that that whole core people were all out here at the time you know Rosen's husband is a great guitar player and he produced a record that is like one of my favorite records in the last I don't know how many years with a guy who used to be with Stax William William Bell the horns are like you know it sounds like the old Stax Warren's but it's very lean and clean and William Bell is one of the great singers and he's hanging with the talented guy John is a great mind for orchestration and arranging and just what's necessary it was funny I'm friends with Jimmy Vivino and when I heard that record he's William Bell record I immediately called Jimmy and I said hey man did you hear this record you're gonna love this and then I said this guy John Leventhal and he gave me John's number and I just called him up out of the blue I didn't know John at all and I just said man I got to congratulate you man you know one of my all-time favorite records and he said he was really cool that he came out here with yeah I think he gave everybody a copy our first case right [Music] Mountain Man well one of the greats just get some tremendous Tony's got that telling with the humbucker in there and every corner in there everybody be nice to that guy serving your breakfast he's probably better yeah bets keeps from a little bit [Music] it's just blah Wow I know there's nothing else you need to say and a great interview like that the way where you get to sit and here it is there's no other place I mean it's pretty cool to stanton sit in front of a guitar in here - you hear it differently when it's against you and you fail lately speak fairly breathe yeah Wow you hear great guitars like this and you a lot of times people associate guitars that are loud with being great and then volume into one or two different yeah [Music] [Applause] just with that length of that sustained [Music] it's not even better if I can tell I just got to say thank you it's an honor as always you know boys all right great great Vince Gill if you haven't seen the Eagles yeah we're gonna go see em they got the best of the best over here and the band has got the best tunes and they got some really great singing great playing and what it's seen thanks Jesus
