Vikings Of The East: Igor & The Kievan Rus'

in the year 913 near gorgon on the southeastern coast of the Caspian Sea in modern-day Iran a vast fleet of 500 warships came into view with the shocked and terrified traders and townspeople arrayed by the shore they'd had their fair share of Raiders over the years riding down from the Caucasus from the steppe lands to the north and across the Persian Plains from the East but it immediately Overall, very nice work. Couple of remarks though.

1. Igor, Sviatoslav had their Scandinavian name Ingvar and Sveinald. More can be read in the book "Ukraine: Gates of Europe" by Harvard Proessor Serhii Plokhiy.
2. Currrent Russia has nothing to do with the Kiev Rus. Moscow was discovered as a wooden village on the swamps long after the best days of Kiev Rus. Moscow started growing because it became Ulus Jochi, a Commandant's Tax Collecting hub for the Golden Horde starting 1240.
