[Music] hello welcome to this limited Collector's Edition video review only the first 30,000 people to watch this video will actually see the content all the rest will just see those Posh kids biting each other again no not really I'm joking although if you did pre-order this review from Amazon you get the special ending where I dress up as Robin anyway back to reality or whatever passes for it in this house yes collector editions of video games and limited things and Guff and blur basically this is a recent phenomenon where the Publishers have said video games decide to package a load of plastic tat and similar items with their game and then charge you a fortune for it and then you end up with like a plastic model of the master chief or something that sits on a shelf for Gathering dust for a while then you decide to sell it and discover it's not worth anything anyway let's have a look at some of them shall we because there's something I've well actively avoided to be brutally honest with you because they're generally quite expensive but due to weird circumstances they sometimes prove cheaper than the normal version also I've borrowed some of other people so we can laugh at them when I borrowed them I didn't mention I'd be laughing at them on the Internet so don't tell anyone right what's first well start with one of my own and something fairly simple blaze blue Continuum Shift limited edition why have I got the limited edition it was much cheaper than the normal one in fact I'm not even sure there was a normal one in this country possibly there was I don't know in fact I have a suspicious feeling that if there is a non-limited Edition it was actually made in fewer numbers for the UK than the limited one anyway let's stop waffling on this is a good game it's a squel to blaze blue Calamity trigger which is a one-on-one 2D fighter with very highrise beautiful Sprites possibly not quite enough frames of Animation but they're still quite beautiful um it's also very similar to Guilty Gear if you played that in the past because this is basically Guilty Gear after the person who owned Guilty Gear lost the rights to Guilty Gear but apparently he's got the rights to Guilty Gear back again now I'm very confused mainly because I've said the term Guilty Gear far too often and it doesn't make any sense anyway this is very simple let's just blush through this it's basically a cardboard box in it is a copy of the game that's always a useful thing and some lovely glossy postcards but wait I said lovely that's like a woman with a plug socket in her eye that's not lovely turn it over and look you've got all the moves and things see that's actually quite useful yeah quite like that here's another one which I forgot to put with the others and here is the art book don't like art books they're never very interesting as a general rule they're just full of crappy sketches and artwork you can get elsewhere I mean there's a blob that looks a bit rude marvelous look there's Ragnar the blood edge with some standard promotional art you can see anywhere and a really bad sketch yeah thanks Lads that's just marvelous isn't it not particularly interested in that at all art books are generally something you flick through once then get rid of but there we are that is a basic limited edition about basic basic as it gets and uh as I said inexplicably well I think it I just can't remember if there was a normal version or I do have this nagling feeling in the back of my head that it was cheaper to buy that than the non-limited so that means there must have been a non-limited why am I still talking about this nobody cares let's get in a more impressive collector's edition it looks like an old leatherbound toome look I got to use the word toome I'm happy now this is as written on the spine don't know why I said spine like that I'm going to start doing that in normal conversation which will be very strange right Fable three yes this was a game that wasn't very good I really liked Fable 2 there were big problems with the combat like it was far too easy we were hoping they'd fix that for Fable 3 instead they removed nearly all the game's features and made the combat so easy it's basically pointless it's more like Fable one and a half to be brutally honest with you anyway this cheap collector's edition again this was considerably cheaper apparently than the normal one when bought discounted in the shop I don't know cuz I've borrowed this off somebody else it's got the guild emblem symbol thing on it which is something from Fable I can't even remember anymore it's got stitching around the outsides and basically it's a nice box obviously it's just cardboard rather than actual book pages that would be weird pull open the magnetized strap here and look a copy of the game in a horrible black box and it says limited Collector's Edition on it and I think there's some DLC tat in it yes look at this person I've borrowed it off hasn't even scratched off the limited edition DLC codes if that doesn't sum the whole thing up I don't know what does and he said he completed the game although apparently that took him about 8 minutes um well that's it you think just came in a nice box but look this isn't deep enough is it what's all this going on down here secret compartments how Posh is that and inside the secret compartments are this giant Guild coin thing that's got good on one side and bad on the other so you can flip it you say hm shall I kill my neighbor today flippity flip it's come down bad side that means I must Slaughter him there we are I'm sure that's how all people make decisions and also a pack of cards I don't quite know why you would want a pack of cards of Fable 3 but they're very nice very high quality they've got this sort of oldie time look to them and they've got pictures to do with Fable 3 on that's the only real downside of it but uh here's a really nice high quality deck of cards if you particularly want to play with a deck of cards that will confuse people while you're playing Texas holdom so there we go that's a much nicer limited edition in the sense that it has more stuff probably a lot more expensive when it came out I honestly don't know but as with all things in life there are imitators allow me to present to you A Tale of soul and swords eternally told Soul Caliber 5 a very recent release again I borrow this off somebody else I hope they don't mind the fact that I dropped it in some soup yes Soul Caliber 5 it's like soulcaliber 4 only with more mimic characters and an over Reliance on a special move that activates the same for all characters anyway yeah this looks very similar to the last one although it's not it doesn't feel as good it's got cheaper material covering it still got a bit of stitching um yeah still got the name of the game on the spine and that's quite important but when you open it up you see inside the making of DVD yep I bet somebody in the world has possibly watched that I dare say the person who edited it and inside you've got a copy of the game again that's quite important you've got soulcaliber 5 the art book and a couple of what are these just sort of postcard no I say a couple just one a postcard of the main character whose name I can't remember but it sounded Greek if I recall and what's this oh a little letter to say thank you for buying our collector's edition we love your face soulcaliber 5 the art book okay wasn't expecting that what chaos have I wrought by banging the book on here I've caused a jiffy this is why you should never ever um actually balance things on top of the sofa before you were reviewing something I know that's uh something you're all worried about anyway let's not go on about that and continue on about the art book yes it's just pictures and words and again does that thing where it's got lowquality sketches next to something and I don't know perhaps these are of interest to like people who study art but I don't think they are to General people and there's reason I strongly dislike this it's got something for the extra vaguely joke character dumpier who isn't actually included with this version of the game so you get to read about a character that you don't get despite having paid over the odds for a bloody game when I say over the odds the person I borrow this from claims it was only2 more than the normal version in a shop of course if you're buying it from a shop you're paying massively over the odds anyway from as opposed to internet purchasing but uh don't know if I believe in frankly yeah I probably should let's not be doubting Thomas's right let's get rid of this and get rid of this which is something for my neighbor actually no I'm going to complain about this hang on where's something I can cover with um hang on here we go because it will have an address on that's dangerously similar to mine um here we go let me explain what this is this is something that was delivered for my neighbor but he's got a comically small letter box as in ridiculously thin you can't get anything through there's nothing in this as far as I can there's like one lump floating around but it had to go to me instead and I said yeah I'll give it to him not realizing he appears to have disappeared off the face of the bloody Earth and he it was definitely here before because I used to hear about 3:00 a.m. him having parties and apparently playing on a loop the worst hits of '90s dance CD wouldn't mind but he didn't even invite me um so yeah now he's disappeared completely gone I've must have knocked on his door let me think he been here almost two weeks I reckon I've knocked on his door eight to nine times and he hasn't come here and they must have put card through his letter box presumably that will fit through so yeah Tom Bishop if you are watching this video please pick your bloody parcel up from Stuart next door we've never met but I've seen you from a distance you look young and cool and I dis like you already oh well let's get rid of it before I'm forced to open this on camera and break the law oh oh my God perhaps I should do hang on possibly my most bizarre tangent yet anyway um right driver San Francisco collector pack yes this is one of mine I think it cost about 25 quid and the reason I bought it was CU it was the cheapest collector's edition thing I could find to show you on camera and it's for the PS3 and it's a game called driver and I can't tell you if the D game's any good or not because I uh have never played it and probably never will as I have no interesting games of that ilk but look it's in a nice box and there's quite obviously some kind of toy car going on so uh let us open it I'm not entirely sure how I had a quick go earlier and couldn't work it out um oh here we are right this bit of cardboard comes first then yeah there's a bit of translucent plastic ah then this Guff and we're away oh that's quite nice I suppose um what is that is it a Camaro I don't know whenever I see an American car that's yellow I always call it a Camaro which is cuz sometimes they're obviously a Volkswagen Beetle but damn it I'll never change right it looks like a toy car but it isn't actually the wheels don't move it's just a statue oh that's disappointing I can't run it around the sofa and go broom broom broom that's slightly disappointing really this is stuck on somehow presumably removing this yeah magnets attached by magnets that's quite Nifty I suppose bit of felt on the top as well for added value although as I think this cost a fortune when it first came out to value is probably not something you would really have gotten from it driver s Francisco the game just looks like a normal retail copy says not to be sold separately does it have extra DLC inside I genuinely don't give a monkeyy Dos you do get a map of San Francisco oh man I don't want to unfold this you can never get maps back together can you oh yeah not even going to try actually let's just put it over there and forget about it it's probably a map of the fictional San Francisco from the game or was it modeled on Real San Francisco oh I don't know let's have a look at official comic book feels more like the official comic pamphlet there's not much to that oh that was rather underwhelming wasn't it I was expecting at least an art book or something uh but I did do a little bit of research on this you're going to love this I can't stop laughing at the concept um basically you know there's a shop called CX or sex or however they pronounce it I don't know it's one of these places where you take in entertainment goods and sell them secondhand and they sell them from their shop and you know it's not a difficult business model and if you take driver for the PS3 in there and sell it to them they will give you £14 if you take driver collector's edition I.E this whole package in there they will give you £1 13 so if you take all this extra stuff from the toy car and Chuck them in the bin and just give them the game they will give you one more why is this is this like a bizarre supply and demand thing that's got on is it that their systems are a bit Daffy or is it just that they don't want these big boxes cluttering up their um shelves when when people just aren't buying them I have genuinely no idea oo well we're on to the big guns now people um well we're on to the big boxes cuz the games certainly aren't big guns not this one anyway one I lean over and give myself a hernia for bang Two Worlds from topwar interactive oh sorry Two Worlds 2 in the world's biggest box this is known as the Royal Edition yes it's also very very marked mysterious one might say again this is one I bought myself it was uh this was definitely £25 I think from Amazon if I recall um and partially I was just amazed that it exists fact I'm amazed that a sequel to Two Worlds exists before if you're not familiar with the game it's like a sort of action RPG thing that was horribly broken and unfinished like almost completely unplayably so um absolutely Beggar's belief that they managed to get a sequel out to it the worst thing though Two Worlds it must be said is that it was nearly a good game it kind of had most of the things in place for it but was so ridiculously technically broken and limited in what was in it that it was absolutely well laughable to be brutally honest with you so perhaps in this sequel they've gone the whole Hogan actually finished the game up I don't know I haven't played it yet and quite possibly never will but I did get this to show you oh my God it's too big to show on camera hang on let's maneuver this back right prepare for a jump I'm going to fiddle with the camera right there we go and as you can see it says Royal Edition and the magnet box opens up to demonstrate oh my goodness i' forgotten this was actually inside it there's like a big picture of an orc and some Ninja elf woman or something and Evil Woman well she's got to be evil look she's wearing pervy clothing and got funny eye makeup that's how evil people roll isn't it um yes it's a big statue and I'll tell you what if I recall it's very solid and heavy let's pull it out I haven't actually taken it out of the box well let's construct it why not I've got nothing better to do I don't know about you um well it's not actually as solid as I thought well it's just a solid lump of resin really which hand does that go in um oh hang on no I think this is all one thing that connects together yeah so therefore it will hang on I've worked it out that goes in like that oh my goodness and that connects up com right let's maneuver boxes out of the way which is easier said than done that's blooming heavy over there before it destroys something and we've got that are you impressed yet is it the most magnificent thing you've ever seen has it got sharp fingernails that scratch the inside plastic of the Box yes the answer to the other questions is probably no this is really isn't that impressive a statue the paint's a bit iffy especially around the eyes and H I don't know the sculpting is a bit Naf especially around the face as well she's also got odd proportions but there we are she's a woman from a video game so what do you expect so what else do we get well everything else is contained in this Jolly side slide thing a bit like Fable 3 and in it we have oh my goodness an art book I don't know what that is I'll have a look at that in a minute um bonus item codes trading cards no playing cards sorry they're not inventing their own Pokémon game and a mouse mat incredibly Mouse mats do you remember those everybody used to have a mouse mat now you never hear of them is that because of optical and Laser mice or does everybody have one but we keep it quiet a bit like a mad uncle in the Attic yes Two Worlds 2 there's ninja elf woman again marvelous it's a mouse mat don't get over excited some sort of map this looks like one you can actually fold up again oh no it isn't what is it a b maps have to be folded in the most confusing way possible yeah looks like an in-game map you probably have one in game I would have thought a copy of the game which is quite useful presumably it's the same as the retail one I don't know so if I recall actually this game wasn't released in this country full retail didn't it just come out through Amazon or oh I don't know I don't particularly care it doesn't look particularly good oh look some bonus item codes that I should not be holding up to the camera and I will have to blur out that was silly um a thing this has got discs in I think what's in here oh yes bonus DVD marvelous what's on that no hint um probably something criminally uninteresting I would imagine oh we've got the art book that's the main thing what's going on here some renders of in-game characters all standing in a very very plain pose and some background stuff and not particularly interested in that I must say what are the playing cards like can we cheat Rainman like and beat the casinos with them probably not cuz they say Two Worlds 2 on the back and i' got pictures of Orcs on that's a bit of a giveaway when you're in Las Vegas I hear these are nowhere near as high quality as the uh f ones they're much thinner they don't have the nice texturing on and they're just overall cheaper also all the renders look a bit crap which doesn't bode well for the game I they're not terrible they're just a very standard cheapy pack of cards sort of thing oh there you go I still can't quite believe this game got a sequel at all let alone a big box full of toot and speaking of big boxes the next box is the next box is so big that I'm going to have to completely readjust the camera and zoom out I'll see you in a second look at the size of that thing that's no moon it's the Box the Star Wars Old Republic Collector's Edition comes in and other such really bad Star Wars paraphrasing yes this box is quite large and it was massively expensive like terrifyingly so when it first came out like £130 or something I have borrowed this off a Chum who paid considerably less for it um he said about half so I would presume he actually paid about £80 but doesn't want to admit it yes it is the collector edition of the MMO the Old Republic which is like World of Warcraft with Star Wars characters in fact from what I've seen that's a dangerously accurate description um the collector's edition offers you various extra things in game none of which seem that exciting one of them in fact is get this your character gets to go in an exclusive VIP lounge in the game who came up with that and why are they allowed to live in this world right this is a big box have I mentioned that um it's got evil Darth bloke on the front and then we've got some sort of Bounty Hunter on the side you tell us a bounty hunter cuz you can't see their face and they're shooting flame out of their wrist um we've got um what looks exactly like one of the troopers from uh the Clone Wars shooting his giant gun and then a Jedi on this side yes it's a very nice box and also very gigantically massive in fact if you would like to see a normal CD case put next to it DVD even d DD case sorry everyone put next to it for comparison purposes there you go M big box how did he get that home from the city cuz he hasn't got a car h bus no I'm going to guess taxi okay so what's inside the thing that cost you a liver to buy the answer is the Journal of Master nost deal compiled by Jedi grandmas satel Shan nost Dural satel Shan I don't know they all sound ridiculous Star Wars names these days aren't they all ridiculous things like flim Bim Kabam Blum and nost Dural and siod Di and Rick Santorum and other such absolutely ludicrous names that nobody in their right mind would ever believe a real right well the book's got a nice cover what's inside pictures talking yeah it's sort of presented as a journal of some Jedi Master from the past and it looks like it's got notes written on by this T Shan person um compiled by oh I see yes so they're not notes they're actually part of the book he looks evil and has a crown he'll be Sith then oh look that's interesting was that medieval Jedi or something going on there that's what I would have expected something like Knights of the Old Republic to have actually been since it's set like thousands of years before the original Star Wars films but apparently over those thousands of years their culture hasn't changed at all and their technology hasn't changed at all work that one out um looks slightly more interesting uh if you're into the whole um backstory I suppose than a normal art book stuff falling at the back I was aware of this what is this maps by the looks of it what is this about it's the Jedi Temple floor plan jeez Louise um another map of something what's this no idea that was a letter and a copy of the Treaty of corand oh Deary me quick what else can we put in the collector's edition Jim I don't know just fire up the Epson and print out some Guff for them you know one of those things we didn't bother putting in the game cuz it was too dull a map of the known Galaxy how useful is this and my understanding of the game is that you just click on a planet to go to it so probably not very useful at all it's just a something for your wall if you like prettyl looking Maps oh and the soundtrack from the collector's edition M oh hasn't even got a proper case for the CD look it's floating in this cardboard thing and indeed it looks like he's never got that out there's a surprise who actually listens to game soundtracks not many people there's not many games with a sort of soundtrack you'd actually want to actively listen to is there because as a general rule we hear them quite a lot in the game itself also there's one of these steel book metal tin things with the discs in discs for a uh massively multiplayer online game will of course have data on it which is out of date 10 seconds after they were printed so it's probably just quick as to download the whole lot of the Internet by now with all the patches and things and some pieces of paper probably including the code to activate the game so I won't go in looking at those M exciting oh look but what's this it is a key fob mother but what does it do I don't know cuz the camera won't focus on it cuz I've got the wide angle bit on it oh here we go press the button it gives you a number that's amazing what is this Witchcraft and why on Earth is it in this box well the answer is it's actually um account security thing almost exactly like online banking users yes incredible I know um really high security for your uh Old Republic online game account just occurred to me it's literally higher security than my business bank account users online which is a distinct worry also um I'm reliably informed that you don't actually need one of these you can also get an app which does the same thing for various smartphone systems various smartphone systems I imagine will just be iPhone and Android of course but you Screech maniacally as your mother looks at you tearing her hair in worriment what is the statue like well let me get the box which it is not in it's a statue of Darth Malgus who is Darth Malgus somebody from the Old Republic game we presume let's actually get the statue out which has the heaviest base I've ever known of anything it weighs about 43 metric tons here he is dust on him don't want to damage it not mine spin him round and oh yeah sorry I'll show you those in a moment I've completely forgotten about them um yes here we are it's Darth Malgus this is made by gentle giant who are very very high quality purveyors of sort of statue items and it is absolutely superbly made the sculpting and artwork are both absolutely fantastic and you know this is a really nice thing two problems with it the first is that 've gone for this piano black finish on the base so it just look it just picks up dust from across the universe and sticks it on there piano black is impossible to keep clean for more than 12 seconds so not something you necessarily want in a decorative item and the second problem of course is who the hell wants a statue of Darth Malgus he basically looks like Darth Vader but not quite that's all you can say he's a really weak Darth Vader analog he is Darth Vader light he is Diet Vader and nobody wants a bloody statue of something that looks like something else cool but isn't quite really do they unless you've been really taken in by the storyline of the game or something or do you I say do you get to play as him wouldn't be a very good MMO if you only got to play as prescribed characters right let's put that to one side and I'll show you this i' completely forgotten these actually do you know what these are this is from another MMO most bizarre item I've ever seen got these at a carbo sale what they are are cuff links sorry the existence of these items still amus me they're no they're not cufflinks at all they're little badges oh I've ruined the whole thing all these years I thought these were cufflinks it turns out they're just badges ah wish I had show them go on let's look they're from the game Guild Wars one of the expansions called I think Nightfall and it shows you basically one of the little icons for um skills look vow of science is one and it's just a flesh wound on the other and I thought it was funny was being two of them I assume they were cufflinks and they're obviously far too big and square to be cufflink to be sticking in your arm and I thought it was hilarious and now with my stupidity shown to the whole world it turns out they are just pin badges with those Posh bags how disappointing oh well stupidity and disappointment what an absolutely perfect way to end a video about collector's additions of video games they cost a fortune and all you get is some plastic tat here is the only item I ever got with a video game that I give the slightest toss about if you know what this is hats off to you sir
