[Music] since its launch in 2007 the spatial data infrastructure ad SDI program has worked as one of Abu Dhabi e-government initiatives to make spatial data available to all individuals and institutions the main goals of the program are managing and facilitating the exchange of spatial data between the program's members from government and non-government entities aligning between all domains and sectors preventing redundancy and exploiting the entity's geospatial capabilities and resources this program is operating according to four main roles which are organization and governance managing spatial data and aligning geospatial projects developing and maintaining the geospatial infrastructure government communication and outreach since its launch the program has passed through several phases starting with the establishment phase from 2007 to 2009 then the growth and expansion phase from 2010 to 2014 and moving to the current development phase from 2015 to 2018 which means that over the last 10 years the program has great achievements that include membership of over 80 local and federal government agencies developing and publishing 45 standard documents preparing more than 750 spatial data layers contributed in the development and preparation of the GIS roadmap for more than 12 entities through the provision of technical and advisory support to these entities development and establishment of more than 16 automated channels for exchanging spatial data developing more than 30 spatial services conducted more than 30 different working groups and workshops to exchange experiences and share technological development which support the spatial capacity-building program in addition the programme has exploited the ESRI license agreement the imagery agreement and other agreements to serve the needs of its members moreover the programme has a role in promoting innovation and increasing the Geo maturity as well as supporting geospatial innovative solutions expanding the beneficiaries base expanding partnerships support for academia as a result the programme has received numerous international and regional acknowledgments and recognitions in various relevant events with a total of 15 Awards reflecting the good reputation of the program since its initiation today we can strongly say that SDI has become a gateway to access high quality modern spatial information in addition to providing integrated - geospatial government services for all segments of Abu Dhabi society which will all greatly contribute in reaching a geo mature emirate and achieving the goals of the Abu Dhabi plan [Music]
