[Music] hey guys Joe here at Camp David and today I just finished up an Amish ocean show some footage of what the ventrac can do I mean you've probably seen these machines in other places and heard about them and like me Stoney Ridge farmer tractor time with Tim that's really the place where I found this machine and saw what it could do and I thought to myself man there's no way that machine could really do that so what I did was I called a dealership when I'm event tracks website and they connected with their local dealership person and they came out and did a demo and on my property which you know it's incredibly hilly rolling hills we have the lake we have all kinds of stuff that you really have to kind of get around stuff so the tractor is amazing I love working with a tractor but it takes longer and you can't do with a precise fine you know fine-tuning that you can do with this machine so enjoy the video it's a beautiful day it's probably about 65 degrees sunny blue skies here in Tennessee is May [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] I guess so as you could probably see this is a little bit overgrown this is usually a hay field but I planted the food plot here last year and now we've got hay clover Brassica all kinds of stuff mixed in here and I'm trying to keep it under control because this part's not really great hay ground it's really hard to get to and more than anything I just wanted to kind of show off the ventrac a little bit this all looks pretty level it all looks pretty pretty easy you think well man a bush Hawking can get that no problem you know of course the Bush y'all can get it but you kind of see in the video how I'm you know stopping and turning and cutting and you know it's just so nimble like it would take three times as much time with the bush hog and then with the tractor you know you have to be really careful about things like this this is a washout yeah this happens on big open fields you know there's a lot of rain water will come through here from other fields to go to the lake and you know when this grass is tall you don't see that and I'm telling you right now that that hole will flip a tractor any day of the week so anyway I'm gonna go ahead and cut this side here and I'm gonna do out this video with that and let's see what that looks like and you know again every machine should do two things it should save you time which is invaluable you can replace and it should bring safety to the equation because if it doesn't do those two things you really need to question whether you need to buy it [Music] four seconds to cut that Wow this machine is sitting on this hill I'm sure I have it on the video where you can see the machine kind of flexing and just contouring the ground but you know if you're in a tractor look at this hole you're in a tractor that can send you over so if you're using the tough cut mower with the dual wheels on here you can see it's gonna it's gonna hold the ground it's gonna be very firm and it lets you work faster four and a half minutes to do all this so now I need to do by the lake but I mean I'm invested about 15 20 minutes of my time down here so far I've got more time talking to the camera and setting that up than I do in really cutting and nothing bogs down alright so had an awesome day awesome afternoon really just mowing I'm getting a lot of fields done I got a white barn done got the red barn done cleaning up around the garden I mean this thing is just it's such a great tool to have honestly I mean the tractor is amazing I love having a tractor I love having a bush hog especially when you're going straight we were clearing a food plot or you're doing something where it's really really high but when you're maintaining high grass yeah this thing's hard to beat give you a quick look at the engine so this thing's powered by a 32 I think it's a 32 and a half horsepower Kubota engine Donald say air filter I mean it's it's legit when it comes to you know the power plant computer module massive Raider you're probably the biggest radiator I've ever seen a machine you know this size are really even bigger of course you have to you know make sure you're taking out the filter element to make sure that you're cleaning off the screen but yeah just killer machine man okay so some pros and cons pros watch the video you'll see the pros it really does what they say it will do it's hard to believe that you know any kind of machine can get on hills and slopes and you know hit 30 degree angles and still twist its way out of something and it's fun to drive you know so that would be my second first Pro is it does what it says it's supposed to do second it's a lot of fun to drive you know Holly actually got out here and you know one day she's just kind of done being inside and I said well take the ventrac out there was talk that 11 she's like okay within minutes she knew what she was doing and did a great job at it too so do the machine really it cuts grass well it's almost like this tough cut mower could you know if you're not super super militant about how your lawn looks the tough cut could almost be your lawn mower you know if you bring the hot rpms all the way up it it cuts beautifully especially in a pasture or something like that no are you gonna put this in a subdivision probably not way overkill but for out here you know I would say the third thing is the tough cut mower is kind of a Swiss Army knife they could do both it's a lot of fun to drive and easy to drive and the third is the tough cut mower is some cons now first con is pretty obvious price these are really expensive very expensive machines I know I've seen Aaron from ventrac actually do a video on is it worth it at pricing this is a commercial machine so I'm not knocking them saying it's not worth the money I'm just saying the barrier to get it is yes provides an expensive machine but I bought mine used it was pre-owned very low hours I think there was it was very short-term it was still the current model year so no concerns there's a couple rough spots here as it was a northern machine but you know I'll trade that for I think it was 40 40 percent off second thing is it's loud very loud so you probably see me with the Gator and with you know I look like I'm doing air-traffic control with those 3m headphones but there's no you know there's no getting out of wearing ear protection on this thing it's like a Jets landing because you have this massive 32 and a half horsepower Kubota engine you know eight inches from your body so it's loud surprisingly though it's not hot you don't get hot behind this thing it's not like you know where you have a bunch of you know the heat from the motor system you know radiating off your body but it's loud so that's the other thing third thing is it's loud for thing this thing is kind of it's over built it's super heavy-duty all the pieces are you know a bent steel and powder-coated and you know there's grease zerks everywhere it is way way over engineered for what it is in a good way I don't mean that in a bad way there's grease zerks and bearings and you know the radiator is you know machine however one of the cons I would say is that to get to the engine compartment or really do service on it or even get some of those Erik's you have to have a big allen key to take panels off which to me is kind of like I like like in a car you pull the hood and pop the hood you check the oil and pop it back down you're done this thing you have some disassembly to do some just regular maintenance and checking on things and then you have to reassemble and then get back to work now I haven't changed attachments out this is still relatively new to me so for me this was all about again going back to save time be safer and if I could accomplish those two things with it it's worth every penny that I paid for it and you know there's there's a lot of flexibility with this machine so I kind of put that in a protocol this isn't just a lawnmower it's not just a bush hog I believe there's 31 attachments you can add to it so you could put stump grinders and you know all kinds of crazy stuff on the front of this thing and yeah which for some people that's probably a really great thing to have but for me it was all about there is no tool on hills and slopes mowing ponds I know there's gonna be a hundred people out there who say I've been on a track in my whole life I can do it I have it so if you could do it god bless you but for me I you know I don't feel safe on a lot of these hills on my tractor I have weighted tires I keep the loader low I keep all the implements low it's very well ballast it's a great machine built well the tires are wider spaced out appropriately you still get that pucker factor when you get on a hill and just wondering if a coyote or a prairie dog dug a hole and you're just gonna hit that thing and I'm just not I'm not gonna risk that for what I can get a used machine for and you know it my life is more valuable than this machine and that's kind of the way I look at it but anyway I hope you enjoy the video and if you like these videos subscribe comment you know do all the things that we asked you to do so appreciate it thank you Camp David temple [Music]
