Ventrac and Forestry Mulcher Backyard Cleanup

hey buddy its John with upstate brush control we're here in Malden South Carolina doing another little backyard cleanup so we probably got about a half acre kind of just overgrowth that's just been creeping out in this yard customer just wants to cut back cleaned out he's got his house over here he just would like to have it nicer near he's not planning on planting grass or anything like that just wants to get it down and get it to where he can walk through and see what he has and then he'll kind of maintain it from there so it's going up to that Tower and cutting down this way into the woods there's a creek down there we got to do a little bit of stuff over here on this fence line cleaning that up what else we got cleaning all this and Josh just went to go get the ventrac and got the stump grinder attachment on it and we went ahead and grabbed the rough cut mower deck right rough yeah rough and these this dogwood that's that is a doornail it's it's coming out so Willie's gonna cut it and these crepe myrtles right here one two three these are gonna be cut and then we're just gonna take them back here place them to where I can grind them and the customer wants these stumps ground out I as opposed to pulling them out there is a water line underneath here so we don't want to dig down and get into that and he said he's fine just with grinding those as opposed to popping them popping those out so I'm gonna get on the ASV over here and start going around these trees cleaning up what we got it was getting us already kind of bright off there is the [Music] [Music] in a rope oh my goodness Wow [Music] we got mini crab so what happened I was working right underneath the base that tower and hitting a big old water rope I've seen him use rope and stuff to lower stuff up and down out of these towers or hang lawns or whatever they were doing with it they left it on the ground it's better that than the wire so I'd rather take rope the wire for sure but Willie's gonna grab the axe but cut it's more [Music] yeah I know right I hit a tiny piece of it well how's it go I wasn't mad Wow got it out Oh feet of rope that is [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] got it all right Josh just got back with a ventrac and we went ahead and brought the rough cut back brought the bucket and to help pick up the chips out of the yard alright guys there you have it that's pretty good stumps gone so right on ventrac way to go [Music] alright guys test it out the stump grinder works out pretty great got this nice and flush with the ground nice fine chips no complaints alright now I'm gonna try it this bucket here see what it can do with this pile real quick we'll see how it goes it's first time [Music] [Music] alright guys start out the bucket works pretty good um I was struggling digging into the pile cuz there's no teeth like a skid steer bucket would have but I mean it still worked great it's better than shoveling out by hand so I'll get a majority of the pile and then what I ended up din was just shoveling the rest with the shovel so I got the front yard cleaned up I'm gonna put the rough cut motor on real quick and see what we can do over here let me show you guys real quick what the goal is so there's a fence somewhere yeah right in there there's a fence line so I'm gonna it stops right there so I'm gonna go straight back make like a straight line clean up this and then we're gonna be cleaning up this fence line right here so I'll know what I can I'll cut the bigger stuff obviously but I really want to see what this this mower can handle I'm just gonna come up all the way up here limb up these trees and then I'm stopping right here gonna clean up all these honeysuckles and trash right here then I'm gonna do one or two passes over there so let's see set how she rolls [Music] man look at that whoo not bad not bad I'm gonna try to go back through here get some more this stuff I just wanted to make one pass to come see what I'm doing here so I'll set up the tripod real quick and hate it again all right my dudes so I just cut this fence line right here with the pole saw one chain saw and I'm gonna come back with the excavator and pull all this big stuff and then I'm gonna bring it over there where where we're grinding just so don't get a bunch of wood chips in the yard once to do that I'll probably go back I'll probably go back over at the ventrac there's some bigger stumps so might get the grinder over here I'm not sure yet but we'll find out turn it up this tree and run all the way down so it's got some trash here stuff got some tires all kind of stuff in here I've got some pipe it's a metal fence so I'm gonna have to wait for the excavator to pull that stuff out don't want to destroy the blades on the mower so but it does pretty good I mean I thought it was flat but once I got in here it's not flat as you can tell but the way the mowers built it just articulates right over the humps and stuff looks pretty good I'm gonna see if I can scare with it real quick you should stop the machine not really sure what he's doing he's probably uh what is thought or something oh really good we've got a lot of material here really just out here by myself he's taking the hit for me cutting all his poison I he as you can tell no breath like the warrior and helping out every single tree here's got Ivy on it which which is pretty sucky for the full song it just takes a long time to cut and turn out to touch poison ivy hey stinks you know really hard to the tree the Poison Ivy's back in seasons my boy Willie cuts it cuts at Florin because he's not allergic but I definitely am so yeah successful scare all right guys so you can see me and Josh went through and got all the all the IV limbed up and pulled off as much as we could and and cut out of the trees and all the wind pulled out and cut up so he's gonna go through and pull all the stuff out into the areas where I can grind it kind of get rid of some of these rocks the center box stuff like that and I've already done that through up in here so I'm gonna start finishing that off and then there's a little trail we gotta go down a couple times and get that cleaned out but we'll see we'll get this started see how it goes [Music] [Music] well we got her all wrapped up just just I know John's not here but I'll just say like he does so we got the ventrac in the ASV use the ventrac 4 there's like a little ditch right there and then all on this fence line work pretty well still ran the grinder over at the very end just get any stubs that were human now we're still up but it saved a lot of time having a hand cut at all just be able to knock it down and then move with the excavator but yeah it worked pretty well came down here and finished it all up that everything pulled off the trees ivy we needed it around the trees as much as we could we try to cut at the bottom and then pull it and get as much the ivy down as possible but some of the stuff does not like to come down we got all this done it's pretty hard to finish off just because of all the angle of weird angles on it and stuff like that there's a lot of contours I guess came down here and there's a little trail down here we ran to it turned out pretty good this just goes I guess down to the end of his property down here nothing crazy but there you have it the ventrac was nice we I'll show you up front we did a we use the stump grinder attachment they gave us and that worked surprisingly better than I thought I mean a lot better I thought it would I thought it was more of a gimmicky thing but it worked pretty well Josh said it took it down like it was nothing so that's good but I'll show you that when we get up there but wrapping up I'm gonna try and get the ventrac and the excavator in one load so we don't have to come back three trips we'll see here and there's another spot up by the road there was three crepe myrtles we took out and then Josh grind out a stump see I mean you can see the tips and stuff did pretty well this is the big I think was a dogwood didn't don't want to bug out there's some water lines on the ground I guess the ventrac and it worked pretty
