ready have a sneak peek boom on the other side mate it's blowing westerly so it's really gross but if you duck over the good thing about broome is is a little bit of a peninsula so over the other side the port side it's hot as hell it's not windy the water's flat it's high tide mate the list goes on and we found this secret little beach you come down near um the hovercraft base and you can walk down here look at this set of stairs paradise mate that's what you come to broome to see holy hell that's insane how good that even looks like there's a crocodile flight now i think it's just leaves but spin this way come ready oh okay isn't it just amazing the colors mate that's quintessential broom colors right there all right gonna go down you're going for a swim uh potentially i still get i'm still gonna be scared i'll be on croc watch [Music] [Applause] [Music] i think we've nailed a little bit of paradise mate what the hell like yeah i've just shown you some footage from around here and um we've got a new addition finally we finally got a brolly yeah i did cave actually beck's been onto me for years oh my god but i've only really just come around to the idea because we've sat put out of season now so it's like really hot and the sand like you can't even walk on the sand or sit on it but when you go to the beach it says hot you need shade you do but anyway so i like this one yeah it does and it takes you a nice photo as well um but i'll tell you mate i don't know what this beach is called i'll have a look but if you find the hovercraft base you'll find the stairs yeah and you can come and check it out it's on paradise like quintessential broom it is absolutely amazing one thing blows your way we're too scared to get the walk water up here is like not clear it's that really milky blue i'd say yeah yeah and it's yeah it's i just don't feel comfortable you're like get your toes in and then you go oh i can't see the bottom uh i don't know anyway i feel more comfortable with swimming at cable in between the flags true i don't mind swimming there yeah the odds are a bit better at cable because there's more people swimming so you might get someone else get taken before you anyway hot tip mate come and find this yeah another good party ah van life in broome babe i know it's been different but good um i reckon first things first um we decided to put the kids in school we did which was like we kind of got here we didn't anticipate on doing that but we got here we knew we were going to stay for about two months and uh basically yeah we just got here and i got changed to a couple of moms at the f45 and then i just we just came home and went all right let's just pop him in school and it literally happened a week later it did mate i'll tell you what there's a few reasons behind that a lot of people have asked us and they'll go oh you're stopping traveling and why are the kids in school all this sort of stuff for one big thing um it's all about work-life balance for us we've got we've had a lot of stuff going on in the background if you've been following on socials we had uh an australia-wide national apparel release with anaconda so that was big in the back end of us getting that stuff sorted um beck's had a lot going on in the back end which you'll see coming out we've got some big things happening in 2022 so for us we needed to stop um get it sorted yeah properly do it once do it right we live by that sort of motto yeah and we didn't want the kids to miss out so we don't want to be stuck on our computers palming the kids off okay just like them yeah so it made sense and two gives a chance our kids have never been to school yeah and for us i think too we've been schooling uh will jack for the last four years which is pretty crazy so it was really nice to get the kids into school and see where they're at academically absolutely um how they were going to adjust in mainstream schooling um so yeah we just kind of wanted to get a bit of a benchmark for the kids and and how they going they are killing it like oh my god guys so stoked it's good for us because like i go all right i've been doing enough i don't feel i was so worried i'm like oh if they're behind it's my fault you know i'm accountable um but they're not they're killing it especially um by academically they're middle of the row which i'm happy with yeah um socially and personality wise they are kicking arms yeah we've had all messages oh we have we've um i had this beautiful email from um one of the kids teachers just saying you know they're so resilient and adaptable and they've made so many friends and working so hard at concepts that they don't really know about because i learned it earlier in the year and yeah they're just uh we're super proud like excuse me dear what's today school time oh my goodness what's happening i know so uh we're in broome and we just randomly decided that we put the kids in school it happened very quickly um we only kind of signed them up last week and today is monday and we're starting school today [Laughter] i'm so proud of these kids i reckon they're just going to smash it they've taken it all in their stride they're excited we've been there we've met their class last week now today's monday it's their first day but school drop off mate this is going to be a regular carrots it's so weird i'm already thinking about how i'm going to like do like who do you go with to drop i know we're going to drop them all off but like oh it's first day yeah eventually we'll just drop him at the gate yeah i know but we'll be right back and then we're going to get um well the kids have been asking for new bikes for ages so we're going to be able to get some bikes and then right yeah like a 10-15 i'm excited i'm excited for him i reckon i have a mad time something new hey i feel like i could vomit yeah it's kind of weird like if you asked us six months ago it's like oh well when you get to broome where you put your kids in school we would say hello yeah that's what i mean it just happened so quickly we're just like let's do it who's ready for school there's our little friends how'd you go mate that was awful it wasn't two out of three yeah chuck and billy just smashed it charlie um charlie didn't quite smash it hey ah poor little thing i don't know he they've spent so much time with us it's a bit it'd be the same as anyone's first day of school yeah that's exactly what it is for them yeah but yeah it was awful like yeah they like literally had to pry her off me she'd be all right she's super excited yeah i think it's just overwhelmed yeah she just kept saying please don't leave me i'm scared yeah anyway that's um that's our first day of school it's just probably three or four years later than everyone else does their first day of ah school horrible oh i know they'll be right all mums go through it darling hey maybe you're right you wait till pick up she'll be laughing she'll be loving it can't wait to get back there all right me and becca go to the gym now happy days you did well done [Music] hey um if you've done any research into cool photos in broome and where everyone goes to get a happy snap in a rock pool you probably would have heard of coconut wells so we're here now my first hot tip bring shoes because the rocks are damn sharp um second hot tip probably bring a couple of frothies third hot tip and it's the biggest one because you won't see the rock pools unless it's low tide all right so they're a long way out so if you can see you can't even see the car it's probably like 100 meters to the car and then you turn around and the rock pools are out here then the water's even further out so and um this is where they get all their cool photos i'm going to put a drone up now and show you of us floating around in some rock pools there you go coconut wells mate it's pretty sick [Music] dinner mate coconut wells uh becky boo cooked up some chicken strips earlier just a little bit of taco seasoning we bought them out we heated them up on the induction cooker in here so you heat that up in a different pot then you cook the um tortillas in a fried pan lay out all our salads mate sunset dinner like this how good is that this is coconut wales it's absolutely ridiculous the rock pools just through here are absolutely incredible what are theirs are you up this one's you oh no actually it's got me you got tomato yes no avocado all right so hard these days we've got no avocado we've got avocado we've got no tomato we've got gluten free over here behind the camera far out like i don't know what i'm from buddy arthur or martha have a go jack let us know what it tastes like no you won't do it because it's got avocado on it and then she can't have it because it's got tomato on it are you late tomorrow all right we've changed daily there you go two hands we've got your daddy's hold the back of it t-shirt backwards too read the front of it where the bloody hell are you yeah [Music] we've had some car troubles so if you did watch our last episode of the gib series we thought we got away with an unscathed bubble we did it mate after about sort of 10 minutes on the bitumen i could hear this noise this whining noise in the back end and i'm like oh that doesn't really sound that great and i stopped and checked everything and got to derby got to derby and i'm like it sounds like the diff and anyway eventually we just limped into broome just nice and easy and i got under there and pulled the tail shaft off and had a look around and we had our diff fail anyway i'll um i'll put it in a little video in here of what happened the carrier bearings inside the diff failed so they would just spin it on the inner race i don't know what any of this i know long story short cost us about four to five grand to get new parts labor get the whole different built um yeah anyway so we didn't escape and um i don't know people going to ask what happened why did that happen i don't know i don't know we've there's been another family here with a standard 200 series diff fail um after i think mine was because i upgraded diff gears the diff's already been rebuilt from new and i don't think it was quite done right but um that's what the mechanic who pulled it apart reckons as well but you just don't know if we're heavy we're super heavy we're corrugated yeah yeah we've seen some gnarly roads in the last yeah nearly two years so anyway we didn't escape unscathed we had to cop a bit a bit of a hit to the hip pocket anyway that's that's um i'm over that now it took me a while i was a little bit dirty at it but i'm good yeah i'm good we're past it we're past it [Music] [Music] broom mate check it have a look at this ah i tell you what if this is probably the most quintessential thing to do when you visit broome is drive down cable beach for a sunset see the camels have a feed have a few beers and you know why that's why that is really cool you don't get a sunset like this i know you get sunsets over the ocean in lots of spots around the country but this one is just unique i don't know it's the location all the other people on the beach the vibe and it's always just seems to be that extra bit more glowy than anywhere else like it's just spectacular and every day is different you get some days we've got a bit of a westerly like 30 k's an hour um and a bit of smoke out there other days there's a bit of clouds some days it's still and calm and it's always that little bit different it's so weird to describe it it's just like this feeling when you're on cable beach it's just magic it's just i don't know i can't quite describe it but it's a little bit of um paradise we love it so this is our millionth time back down here because we love it that much so we're gonna drive down savo um got a little toasty maker i'm going to plug that in and have some ham and cheese jaffles down on the beach and watch the sunset and i'll put a little time lapse up for you and you can watch it as well happy days bring it hey this is the beach access coming down i've told you before years ago in vids but be very careful on cable beach and watch the tides so you cannot get north of the rocks on anything bigger than like a seven meter or 7.2 because the tide comes up so far that you can't pass the rocks so if you don't get stuck down there make sure you don't stay down there while the tide's coming in and don't park down near the water and go for a big walk up the beach because if the tide changes it can come in very bloody fast and you'll come back to your car in a couple of feet of water mate it happens all the time so don't be one of those guys and don't lose your bloody nice car down here on the beach name to uh try and recruit people we've got screenshotted messages we'll actually put them up here for you to show you there's other people using our name saying that we're involved that we're part of the business and we've got this many followers and we make this much money off this business every month without doing anything that is a load of absolute garbage all right so please don't believe it please don't get sucked into that thinking that's what we do to enable income to travel australia because it's not we're actually this is just our point of view we are super against it we don't like the whole idea of it there is no uh easy way to make a living if it sounds too good to be true it is all right well morning guys done a bit of a solo mission this morning super early got up at four o'clock and punched out to me little favorite little secret spot up here in broome pretty much always catch a barra and this morning it didn't disappoint check it boom a couple of 57s mate happy days i also dropped like two fish right at the bank spat the plastics and i got heaps of hits i just kept grabbing the tail so i might try and hook up some sort of stinger like at the back see if i can't hook up a few more because there's plenty out there they are perfect eating size man 56 in a 57 happy days very careful but i look a lot of nudist around here and bro you can't see him there's a tent up there she's just walking around the nikkei like having breakfast stalkers she can't get away from cable beach campsites it's going on up here [Music] it's that time of the episode again dear what time is it oh beck's hot i can't have justin giving all the hot tips what do we got this one okay so if you're like me and you've got a fruit basket that you sit on the table here and then everyone sits down for dinner and you have to move it over here and then that annoys you there so you've got to move it over there and my point is or you leave it there when you travel and you forget and when you open your door all your apples roll out on your feet and they're all bruised that literally happens all the time because i forget to put it put it away but anyway um i got sick of having a portable fruit basket so i was on the hunt for a macrame one now put a little shout out on instagram so thank you very much to everyone who got in touch and this look at this this is a crimey fruit basket so luckily there's a woman here who does them in room she's called hang me up broom and she just whizzed this up for me overnight and look at it it's perfect so i've got what i can fit in there is like a kilo of apples a massive bunch of bananas a couple of avos and justin just screwed a hook in there so it's in there quite securely and we just hang it on like that now i don't know how it's going to go and travel a lot of people have said they need to take this off but i reckon with our wicked suspension that my fruit will not bruise so anyway if you want to get in touch with her um she makes them for you hang me up room and she will post one out for you i reckon it's just a cute little addition and keep stuff off your benches which is important when you're traveling i do like it i like that one haven't you got some others but yes so i'm getting some more for our next caravan and one of them i'll get just gonna pop in a couple of screenshots there's one with a rod and you can hang like your lines and your lemons and there's a little hammock which is really cute so i'm gonna pop those ones up in the new van i didn't want to you know screw them all in in this one so yeah if me saying oh my god i've had so many orders which is really lovely because she's a small business in broome she's got a young family and we feel really honoured and privileged that we could do that have got new bikes charlie's got a 20 inch the boys have got 24 inch ones so we'll put them together and give you a look but they buy bully um so i'll put the link down here and you can check out what they're like if you've been on the road you know that kid's bikes get trashed after a while living on the back and now we've finished all the real rough stuff like the cape the gibb arnhem land it's time for an upgrade hey kids look at this home little tool kit inside there's like the pedals come in there a couple of reflectors spanner and like a multi-tool with a heap of allen keys screwdrivers torx bits that sort of thing there you go and then all you have to do is piece it all together even if you haven't done one before it's super easy you just follow the instructions step by step happy days i reckon we'll be 15 minutes and we'll be sorted mate he'll be paddling around [Music] that's one together how's that feel that's nice [Music] yours is done check this one out silver and orange that's killer come here and show me those front teeth three bikes mate about 15 minutes each to put together you got pedals you got hangers you got to tighten this one you put the front wheel on and the seat on and that's it so the boys are already hanging around on theirs charlie's got hers left to go and then we're good to go you know the good thing about these for the caravan is they're super light hey i'll put in the specs but just to pick them up the three boxes weighed nothing so pink suits yeah it's gonna be pink suits me yeah it's been good the kids have been helping putting them together oh you just gotta sit on it you can sit on it first and then you just gotta pop the tyres up before you let them go look at this how cute is this bike a bit higher how about you see how that got everything it's got climate it's got fishing it's got swimming um it's got heaps of cool family stuff it's got no freaking traffic lights oh yeah no no traffic lights right it is the easiest town to drive around i love it it has a camera and a woolworth and a coal and a really good post office and three fishing stores and a couple of servos it suits us and some good pubs and yeah and an airport yeah it's a really good vibe here like it's a very transient town so we find the community community here are very accepting of new people exactly yeah it's not real clicky yeah it's bloody fantastic i love it so i might see that on the cards in a few years we might have base camp broome yeah base camp streaky base camp sunny coast that's the plan anyway um hot tip coffee mate where do we go every day for four times a day oh no it's terrible uh the good cartel that is the best coffee in broome it's uh drive through so you just drive through and there's a little lady that is stands here little lady oh they're always little i don't know why um there's a woman that stands at your window she takes your money gives you a buzzer you go and park and then when your buzzer goes off you go around and you pick up your coffee or all your food morning kids good morning we're in the car on the way to school hey um so it's like your last week at school now i'm trying to tell everyone have you enjoyed going to school yes what um let's start with billy billy what's your favorite subject who answered that jack or billy billy jack what's your favorite subject i have a couple yard digital dinner sounds good all right this is us we're just gonna troll around i actually think this is the first time i've ever been in the boat just you and i it is absolutely since we've got it but um yeah we've got a little brolly so we're gonna stick it in a rod holder yeah and beck can just like chill out one she's hot up in broom all right let's do it ready for this what do you reckon it's so good boom yeah i feel like we're in the bahamas mate cruising down here trolling for barra look at the shade you can sit under there man yeah it's like so massive actually you can drive the boat it's my birthday i'll sit in the shade that's a big fat no how many fish you catch zero yeah how many fish i catch zero oh my god there's a bee oh there's a b2 ah yeah no good on the fishing mate but we're not the only ones there's a few other boats out here you haven't caught a thing so all right what are we gonna do now we've got to head home and get the kids from school you know pick the kids up it's been nice actually yeah it's been quiet just no fish anyway next time i'm gonna fill you in on a couple of things i've done well in broome uh first one i'll go for a bit of a test drive now is i upgraded the um the sway bars on the 200 so if you didn't know you can get a um an aftermarket old man emu kit from arb for the rear sway bar it costs um it's 585 bucks for the kit and it comes with everything you need so new sway bar which is upgraded how do they upgrade them well it's just a lot thicker steel so instead of being like um i don't know say 20 mil round bar it's like 39 mil i can't remember the exact specs i'll put them in but they're a lot uh bigger in diameter and they come with new links new bushes new collars everything you need to do the job and um literally you can do it yourself all you have to do is get under there unbolt the old one off the um diff housing uh undo your sway bar links then just drop the whole thing down it's not that heavy you don't need jacks you don't need any extra tools just need a few um spanners a few sockets uh allen key to put the new collars on and that's about it you get everything you need grease up the new bushes slap them in and then um put the sway bar links in push the bar up and bolt it back to your chassis now all right i've got the old one out i'll just show you the difference in thickness and material mate have a look at this is the best view of it there there's the original one how skinny it is here's the upgraded one all beefed up so that is going to be how you get better sway control having a nice stiffer bar there stop that body roll the handling is better um kind of feels like it's a bit more on rails like a little race car even though it's a four and a half ton car um but yeah stoked with it for the 580 bucks and a um 10 minute 15 minute install it's a pretty bloody good addition so here we go ready here's a roundabout you probably won't be able to see it through the um camera but i can take roundabouts at like 10 k's an hour faster i'm still not speeding but i just used to have to slow right down because it felt like the car was going to tip over so anyway i think um that addition is going to help a lot of you guys with heavily loaded 200 series out there in the road with roof racks rooftop tents all the stuff in the back tinnies on top especially so if you're feeling like you've got a bit of that issue with um sway and body roll get onto it mate i'll put a part number in here and just get it from your local arb joint and fit it yourself happy days all right that's broom time done and dusted i just want to show you something you will never see this usually but look what's going on in the background oh my god i do know she's so full of it i do she can i don't know where she gets this info from i am constantly doing dishes and she always blows up when she has to do it she's like i'm always doing dishes day in and day out i do i do them multiple times a day anyway that was broom time it's sad to leave little old brie so probably a little bit different to something that we normally do we've never sat put this long for one sort of time we've never had the kids in school yeah it's been a lot of new experiences for us um and to tell you what's been good and it's been it hasn't been bad it's been different but we're ready to move on right we realized too like we just love the traveling lifestyle okay welcome to being realize it no but when you see it put in one place it makes you feel really grateful that we're able to travel and you know what it's made us like that we never really knew is that kids in school ties you down massively doesn't it yeah you just can't even when the weekend comes around you can't be bothered yeah it's so exhausting i can see now how people get in a rut and just do the school thing and can't be bothered doing anything on weekends because we were the same painful we were exhausted i'd say it was less exhausting doing homeschool with the kids yeah and actually doing school drop off yeah lunches i agree yeah anyway yeah crazy anyway broom time that's it guys we've had a great time here and we're going to be back to our normal vids pretty soon punching through we've got heaps of big stuff we just had another phone call half an hour ago actually massive stuff happening in 2022 we um and all thanks to you guys for your
