I was there! I was 5 years old and my dad pulled my out of school. I still remember the huge crowd and tv vans everywhere. The nice people in the fudge shop allowed my brother and I to their back to watch from the side of the stage through a window. I’ll try to dig up the photo...
That day was epic. I’m not sure downtown has been that packed since. Crazy to see a sea of people between the buildings. RIP EVH

I loved being down there. I am 6’2” and I was wearing rollerblades so I had a great view over the crowd. I think the crowd was 3-4 times what they planned for.
Anyone know the year this was?
Context: This was the year grunge took off...they mention "Merry Christmas" so grunge was already taking over MTV and the music world. Big hair rock was no longer "the thing."
