[Music] all right guys welcome back to another one of our coaching tips and today we're going to show you how to make more 10 pins and increase your score now when most people go to shoot their 10 pin the first thing they do is they move to the far side of the lane but when you look at it these people are also keeping their shoulders nice and square like we were always taught When We Were Young and coming at the lane very Square even though they're trying to get a pin way over here well that causes a couple of issues one of them we've addressed in another one of our coaching tips and that's people pushing the ball this way well we know pushing the ball towards that pin is just going to make us miss it this direction so that's not going to help us there is one simple tip that you can do on well not only your 10 pins but when you move laterally to hook the ball more that will guarantee that you'll throw the ball better now we're going to bring Scoops in here cuz he is the master of this now when scoop shoots 10 pins the very first thing he does is line his body up so we'll get you to line your body up here on your on the Dots here facing the facing the Ten Pin now you can see Nick's not B Nick's body isn't straight look at this Nick's Nick's body isn't straight I'll get you to do it right here so that a little farther up so they can see it more now you can see here Nick is actually Twisted slightly towards the 10 pin what he's done here is he's created a tilt in his hips towards the 10 pin so that when he's throwing that ball his body alignment is going towards that 10 pin now if you don't do that you're often throwing a cross your body you're trying to get it to go this way you're trying to do that but when you shift your hips you're literally aligning everything your hips your shoulders your knees towards your Target and creating a launch angle towards your target well it seems like if you're trying to hit a Target and you put everything towards it that would make sense that you're going to hit it more right well let's find out let's get Nick here to throw a 10 pin all right so look at Nick's feet here you can see that his heels are twisted that was pretty good Nick now let's show them what happens when you try to do it without moving your hips as we said if you don't tilt your body you're actually trying to throw across your body and often this is when Bowlers Miss left and right and left and right you can see it's even hard for Nick being that deep to square himself up and you can see the ball goes right in the gutter he's trying to throw it towards the pin rather than aligning his body so just like that you can see the difference between just moving your heels one board from where your toes are and not so next time you go to the center and you're faced with a 10 pin don't miss it get that extra count and score more until next time guys we'll see you Lan side
