Unwind in Tokyo at These Relaxing Cafes

I know you've heard of Tokyo's eclectic Cafe scene ranging from made cafes and animal cafes to the more traditional but there's even more in the world of unusual cafes out there in Tokyo so today I'm going to be taking you to a couple of truly one-of-a-kind and highly relaxing cafes in Tokyo let's go she's got you have to tell them to like And subscribe before we go don't forget to like And subscribe for more Japan Adventures okay now let's [Music] go today I am starting out in Coen which is known for its underground live music scene especially with Japanese punk rock and it's also known for its retro Vibes and bars and cafes so today we going to checking out an unusual and slightly cool worky little cafe in the area that has become beloved by artistic fans all across Tokyo let's go check it [Music] out my first unique Cafe stop for today is right here and it's called po Cafe it's a place where you can enjoy homemade Cafe foods and sweets and it's also a place where you can get apparently a little creative so let's go inside and see what that's all about hi guys [Music] this Cafe is adorable oh my goodness [Laughter] [Music] there is some really beautiful art in this room these are gorgeous what I don't even know how this was made it looks like they're Goldfish made of paper and I think that they're lanterns which is really amazing they're also selling handmade little stuffed animals that's so cute and it shows the person who made it the information I really do love animals so much I grew up with lots of animals so this is so cute this is the perfect Cafe for me for [Music] they also have an English menu and it's all handwritten it's very cute the writing is really really adorable so if you don't read Japanese that's fine they have the English menu all right let's give this a try it looks and smells incredible it smells fresh out of the oven um very toasty tantalizing it's perfect cuz I am very hungry I guess we'll start with the kiche then apparently it's a carrot and cumin cream cheese kiche I love cheese so much so I'm sure this is going to be incredible oh that is so good it is very comforting what immediately hit hits you is that cumin um you get this like very fragrant spice it's very warm the pie crust is so flaky let's also try the berry tea beautiful Berry herbal tea M Tangy and refreshing it is a berry herbal tea so it's got that kind of tart Tangy Berry flavor and it hasn't been sweetened so this is I think a perfect health tea yum this is the perfect balanced lunch I feel like it's got the greens with the salad you got the kiche a little bit of meat there's even some olives on the side it's just got a little bit of everything so I'm going to finish up my meal and then let's go do some art some pottery painting love it I've never done it in Japan before actually so see you guys over there [Music] hi [Music] so now it's time to paint but that's the part I'm nervous about I'm kind of okay with drawing I've never really done painting so I might ruin it here I love the concept of being able to drink coffee while doing art very fun I have spent a lot more time on this than I intended but I actually think it turned out more or less like what I wanted it to look like okay I think I finally finished this is my finished plate I'm very happy with it I'm glad to say and on the back I've just written the date and my initials and now let's have a little coffee and cake time because I put a lot of hard work into this time to relax [Music] again this was the perfect Cafe and the perfect day to enjoy a relaxing painting session and then enjoy both a little lunch and a little dessert afterward with some coffee I think this is the epitome of relaxing and therapeutic also if you really like cute things and cute animals this Cafe is covered in them like these adorable squirrels squirrels are so cute I hope you guys enjoyed this Cafe but I have one more really nice cafe to check out next that I'm super excited for so see you guys [Music] there I am here now in the always bustling ueno which is also a retro part of town and it's also known for its famous ueno Park ueno Zoo and the always busy and very crowded amoko Street Market where I am right now but somewhere amongst all of this busyness there should be a little quiet Haven hidden somewhere where you can fully relax and maybe even take a little nap after a busy day out in the city cuz it really is super busy out here today and I am kind of tired and sleepy after lunch day so I'm ready for a nap let's go find our next relaxing Cafe let's go here we are my next stop is right here this is called M noi house and it is a massage and foot bath Cafe which I am very very excited to try and they combine the cafe environment with ayurvedic massage and they have a focus on fully relaxing the mind and the body which I am all for so let's go inside and see what it's like I cannot wait to try it let's go this is so cool it's already very relaxing and quite warm people are getting massages this is great all right so I'm now settled in and very relaxed already basically what you do now is you have to wipe your feet up to your the top of your legs where it's going to be in the water and then wait for the server to come and give you food and drinks and a massage very excited for that all right let's put our feet in they're all clean now oh my gosh it's so warm it's it's warm but just bordering on hot just perfectly relaxing all right so while we're waiting we can look at the menu I'm going to try their famous curry this is supposed to be their most popular menu item they also actually had an English menu on the back so make sure to check the other side um I'm having trouble deciding what to get to drink but maybe I'll go very relaxing and I'll just have a homemade chai cuz I love chai and you get to pick your massage like the amount of time I'm going to get um probably just a quick massage [Music] here we are it smells incredible it smells spicy let's give the chai a sip I think warm drinks are just perfect for this Cafe if you really want to feel super cozy give it a taste that was actually pretty hot so I feel like there's a lot of milk in it um so it's not as like Rich of a chai as I'm used to but it still tastes spicy it's like a it's like a milk tea okay let's try the curry I'm very excited for this Curry oh that's tasty somehow it tastes a little bit different than I was expecting but it's very coconuty you can really taste that coconut milk in there it also it's got the chewi of the pork bits it's also got a lot of veggies M that's a lot spicier than the other one oh interesting I was not expecting that level of spice it's actually properly spicy so it is really good so now I'm going to finish up my meal and then after that I'll get my own personal massage which I'm really really looking forward to while having a foot bath it's already quite fun and um like a new experience for me to be able to do a foot bath well eating I think I would definitely be back here very soon okay so I can like hug it oh it's it's actually really com [Music] [Music] wow that was so nice for [Music] I feel the blood circulating I feel my shoulders are looser a little bit more relaxed if I lived closer to this place I would come here maybe once a week this was a really great experience though
