hello and welcome to another advanced code video in this video we're gonna take a look at exporting advanced accountant character eggs into the unreal game engine and for this we're gonna be using this cool-looking conan character which has been designed by MGM and modeled by Trey wing so we'll start out with rigging up the model you so we now have a quick character Rick next we're gonna parent the reference in geometry under the geometry node and that leaves us with a single top node in the outliner for the entire character now we could go ahead at this point and export this to unreal by selecting the single deformation joint chain which is done by selecting this group called deformation system as well as the geometry and export as an FBX that FBX could be imported as a useable character into unreal however we're going to do an additional step to make sure our character is going to be compatible with the default character that comes in unreal so we can reuse that animation that comes with that template character and we're going to do that by replacing this deformation joint chain with a deformation joint chain that is aligned and named according to the unreal standard and that will simply do by opening the game skeleton tab here and hit create unreal skeleton now this is the hierarchy that is oriented and named according to the unreal template then we'll transfer the binding from the current deformation joints onto these joints by hitting the transferred skinning and we'll now go ahead and export the FBX by cylinder geometry as well as the Unreal Scott and then we'll go ahead and start up unreal and we'll create a new project using the third person template blueprint call this conan project and we'll make a folder for our imports an important px file and in the import options here what we're going to do is we're going to define this skeleton to use the Unreal template mannequin Skousen and what we can do now is to select the default thatdoesn't character and just swap it over to use our Conan character and we'll go ahead and test the gameplay and that's it that's how we can take a character rig from advance skeleton into unreal and using template blueprints getting a game going with the character quite quickly that concludes for this time I hope you have enjoyed this video and I'll see you next time
