Unreal-5: Add VFX to Animations (Animation Montages)

so you just want to add special effects to your animations not a problem let's say you got an animation like this one and you have special effects like this one and you want to put them together first thing you're going to do is right click on your animation turn it into an animation Montage name it open it pause the animation and find out when you want the effects to appear then under notifies add a new notification and name it something like effects then right click add notify and anything made in unreal 5 should be using a Niagara part effect then go up here and under Niagara system pick the name of the effect you're looking for in my case it's NS hit ground you're done now you can see the particles appear exactly when you said it should now from this point you can easily change the position by adjusting the location offset the rotation with rotation offset or even change the size with scale now let's say that you want the effect to happen in a specific location like where the hand is well to do that you can click your skeleton go to your hand right click add a socket name it save it then back under Montage under socket name set it to the socket you just created if you don't see it here it means you forgot to save the socket on the skeleton but now you should see your effect Tethered to your socket and don't forget when you're calling these things in blueprints the variable type is animation Montage not an animation other than that hope that helps and as always hope you have a fantastic day and I'll see you around
