University protests for Palestine | 35 arrested at Cal Poly Humboldt

'T HEARD BACK FROM THE UNIVERSITY ON THE CONCERNS BY THE JEWISH STUDENT COMMUNITY AND THIS MORNING, HUMBOLDT COUNTY DEPUTIES ARRESTED 35 PEOPLE IN THE CAL POLY CAMPUS AS DEPUTIES CLEARED AND SECURED TWO BUILDINGS THAT PROTESTERS HAD TAKEN OVER SINCE LAST WEEK. THE SCHOOL SAID IT MADE REPEATED EFFORTS TO RESOLVE THE SITUATION, AND THEY SAY ENFORCEMENT ACTION WAS NECESSARY TO RESTORE ORDER ON CAMPUS. THEY ALSO SAY, QUOTE, WHAT WAS OCCURRING WAS NOT FREE EXPRESSION OR A PROTEST. IT WAS CRIMINAL ACTIVITY AND THERE WERE SERIOUS CONCERNS THAT WOULD SPREAD EVEN FURTHER ON CAMPUS. THE CAMPUS WILL STAY CLOSED UNTIL MAY 10TH.
