Unboxing the Shadow and Bone Grishaverse Exclusive Suitcase

hello everyone icarus here welcome to my channel where we're going to talk about all things bookish now if you're watching this you're watching my very first youtube video and because i think that we always should start with a bang i have prepared something really cool for you guys i'm gonna give you a sneak peek before we get started [Music] i have been sent something very special just in time for the premiere of the shadow and bone show on netflix and here's what it is this is a suitcase that the publisher sent me it's a pr package full of stuff inspired by the show and we're going to look inside it together so the first thing that we have is in this envelope and i'm assuming this is some sort of spoiler card which i'm just going to look at it just to make sure yes it is it is it's a spoiler card i'm going to read it to you what it says leave the world you know behind welcome to the grishaverse inside this well-traveled trunk you will find everything you need to explore the grishavers a world of science and superstition where nothing is what it seems from the bustling street of qatar nam to the snowy villages of rafka get ready for the adventure of a lifetime so the first thing that we have here are two books and these soup books are a paperback copy of shadow and bone of course by leigh bardugo and it's a pretty simple one i mean i guess there's nothing special about it it's just a regular paperback you know with the sticker that no one likes but they put it there you know to let us know i mean it makes sense you know this is like a pr package but we also have a paperback of six of crows which i guess it makes sense because they've been saying that the show kind of borrows from both stories is based on both like what else what else what else what else we have this gorgeous mug look at this mug look at it look at it i love it i love this mug it's not ceramic i don't know what it is but it's just beautiful i like that symbol you know we all know this of course and then in here we have this package that says scenes and samovars a taste of rafka let's see what's inside okay i see i see it's a double spice chai so this is tea obviously and it says that ingredients are blended black teas cinnamon ginger root clove butt oil all spice natural cinnamon flavor and cardamom oil you know just a little bit of tea who doesn't like tea a lot of people thought you know what else what else o m g what is this look at this look at it i don't know what's inside it on the top it says you're better than waffles that's cute let's see what's inside and of course we have waffles i mean i don't know who put together this like package but i mean it's cute it's just like something to eat you know if you're hungry it says here that these are authentic dutch i guess you pronounce these stroke waffles i don't know you guys can tell me in the comments from pronouncing it wrong soup waffles yeah i guess this is what they're called but yeah this is something that we have in here let's move on let's see what we have okay okay i like this this is like a face mask right for when you're sleeping and it says it gets dark where i say it does no not where it's it gets dark when i say it does and of course this is a quote from the one and only darkling yeah i like this one i guess i could do the rest of the video like this but then i i wouldn't be able to see what i'm saying but i like it it's cute right what else what else what else i guess the next thing is a scarf i'm gonna show it to you guys oh my god this is so cool look at this thing this is amazing i love it i love it i don't know why i've always been obsessed with like antlers and animals that have handlers i guess i don't know maybe because of harry potter when i was younger but this is amazing i love it i love it so we have that scarf and then okay you guys i don't know really i don't know who put this here but these are slippers like literally slippers and uh let's see what they say oh okay okay so this one says hold on this one says no funerals and you all know what's coming next because the other one says no more nurse so they're cute i mean you know just like regular sleepers the quality is like not super nice but of course i mean it makes sense come on what can you expect um but they're cute you know some just stuff that you would be able to use like when you're like relaxing or as you're sipping some hot chocolate watching uh the shadow and bone series on netflix we have a couple more things this thing i'm actually looking forward to eating this thing this is a chocolate popcorn and it's huge i mean it's not in like perfect condition i'm not sure what a chocolate pop guy is what a bobcat is in general but if you know just let me know in the comment down below but this is kind of nice right i mean it's just something that you can eat with the tea right like tea and a little sweet for you and then you put on your sleepers and you watch the show we have one more thing and then we see we can see what the spoiler card says but we have a passport you guys a grisharber's passport let's see it says welcome to the grishaverse look at this it's kind of nice right you have all of like the details and you have this little letter here just welcoming you right and then let's see oh we have the same map that we have inside the suitcase just like a little smaller and not in color and then what else oh this is so nice we have all the visas in like the different regions of the grishavers at like their own stamp this is kind of nice like i like this i always like things that are like a little and you can add your own update they have empty pages for you to add your own stuff i guess i don't know if maybe they're gonna do something else with this but this is like this is just like a nice thing to add you know like it just makes you feel part of the world you know and i guess like you know this is a fantasy story so they are welcoming into a new world but you know whatever let's see what it says here in the spoiler card it says where is it for this one for the face mask it says you'll need to be well rested for the excitement ahead so let's make sure you're traveling in comfort slide on your cozy house slippers which are this one these ones with a message from the crows that should keep you on your toes i like that rhyme and rest your eyes with the satin eye mask perfect for any sun summoner in training but no journey should be made on an empty stomach let's begin with some local delicacies brew yourself a steaming pot of scenes and samovar's tea which is that which is this right and the best saver in a tin mug emblazoned with the lens stuff double eagle so the mug that i showed you earlier like this one right and then it says and best pair with a decadent chocolate popcorn your sweet tooth still isn't satisfied open a team of stroopwafels a sugary treat sent straight from ketterdam and a favorite of a certain grisha heart tender tran heart trender come on i can't even pronounce that stuff and then it says you're ready for departure grab your scarf to keep the chill of winter at bay and show off your rafcon's sense of style alina loses hers along the way so keep a tight grip and don't forget to take your grishavers passport with you it's the key to unlocking all of the magic of this new world it's time for adventure embark on a fantastical quest full of bottles and ancient lore in shadow and bone or take on a deadly heist with a gang of thugs and thieves in six of crows these series starters are the perfect way to lose yourself in the grisha world christopher's before these characters come to life when shadow and bone premieres on netflix on april 23rd which is today by the way happy travels may you meet with the companions witness glorious sights and survive just enough danger to keep things interesting oh and if you do end up in ketterdom keep a close eye on your wallet you know
