So, a few people have been asking me to do
this for a while. It got to a point where it was somewhat of
a meme on stream like, "When's kars vs. cell." Well, now it's here. It's been a while since my last versus match-up,
and I've taken the means of learning more. These things need the best possible insight
someone is capable of, so I'll be going over this as practically as possible. Now, to the character profiles. We are starting this off with the main antagonist
of Battle Tendency and leader of the "Pillar Men," Kars. The strength of Kars lies in his intelligence
of his Pillar Men biology. Their high strength, durability, sense, speed,
and things like their body manipulation and absorption. Kars, in specific, can produce blades from
his body. These blades are made out of either bone or
hardened skin. But, that was just regular Kars. This fight will be using Ultimate Kars. Well, what's there to say about him? Araki had made it relatively easy as to what
he got that made him different. I'll be having the chart on the screen. Now, going over a few of the things on there. In the cells of Kars, there's the genetic
data from the whole evolution process. He can transform into any living being by
putting that knowledge to practice. Also, since he can heal any wounds, it helps
him transform. He never grows old, and he can stay active
for a year without drinking or eating apparently. Those are the main key things. He also has his light mode. On Kars' blades, they have shark teeth-like
claws running along the edge of the blade. They also reflect light immensely, which gives
it the reasoning behind "light mode." I think that's good enough of a profile to
get the general idea of Kars. Now for Cell of Dragon Ball. Cell is the creation of Dr. Gero, made with
the genetics of the best fighters that have touched the earth. That gave him the traits and abilities of
characters like Frieza, Goku, and Vegeta. This means Cell is capable of a lot. Like… A bit too much, a lot. Cell has telekinesis, the solar flare (well
who doesn't know that), the Kamehameha (I should've said that for this), absorption,
regeneration. Those are big things. A huge one is the multi-form, where he can
split into four identical copies of himself. It's Tienshinhan's ability, but the difference
between the two is that Cell's clones all have the same power as regular Cell. That's an overwhelming force. The last thing to mention is what is called
"Unforgivable!". I wanted to check if Cell's self-destruction
had a name, that's what I got. "Unforgivable." That's amazing. This ability is where Cell puffs up and explodes. The explosion itself is capable of destroying
an entire planet. I think that's enough for Cell. Now, for the rules of the battle. Hopefully, you had seen the title, so you
saw the word "Equalized." They're of the same attack potency, speed,
and durability. The first thing will be Cell, but as strong
as Kars, and then Kars if he was as strong as Cell. This form will also not be Super Perfect Cell. That should be enough prepping, now for the
battle. Now Kars' gameplan starting at the beginning
of the fight is going to be what we usually have seen from him, duh, right. Kars is going to try to slice & dice, outsmart
and try to catch Cell off-guard, and now Hamon is there in the mix. So, while trying to catch Cell off-guard,
he could strike him with Hamon and get off his hits here and there. For example, Kars could fly at Cell, shooting
feathers at him and into the ground, the feathers become giant squid tentacles and grab Cell
by the legs. Kars tries to go for a strike to the chest,
but then Cell has multiple "get off me" tools. He could use a barrier, his sheer energy,
eye lasers, or shoot a huge blast of ki into the ground and reset the situation like that. Things like that won't be enough. Plus, say if Kars was to strike Cell directly,
that's not doing much even with the stats equalized. His regeneration is excellent, even with the
usage of ki being in mind. As for Cell's gameplan, he's working with
a lot, and that greatly benefits his overall plan. He can just be an overwhelming force to Kars
by matching him punch for punch and mixing in all of his abilities. For example, Cell uses the multi-form ability. One stuns Kars with a Solar Flare, two are
charging a Special Beam Cannon, and one uses a "big bang attack." That'll definitely hurt like hell, but it
wouldn't be enough to take Kars out. Along with that, Kars will be modifying his
body to where certain things won't catch him again, and he'll be keeping mental notes of
what Cell uses. Like he won't be caught by the Solar Flare
again, and he'll know each move by the pose. The thing is, while he's keeping tabs, so
is Cell. This battle is an evolving one, where each
character is consistently changing up their methods to see what truly works. Like, let's look at what mid-battle Kars would
be doing. The only thing he can do is change his body
and try to understand more. He's not matching Cell ability-wise because
that would be trying to add a universe's logic into the other verse, which is just not needed
here. I mean, well, Kars needs it, but I'm not going
to skew it because that's dishonest. Now, as for what's going on with Cell in the
battle. Now, Cell is actually getting stronger as
the battle goes on. That's the Saiyan Power in his genetics, or
as many know it as, Zenkai. So, Cell's actual strength, speed, and durability
are improving the longer the fight is going on. Which, in turn, can break through the means
of defense that Kars is taking. For example, the Kamehameha that Kars takes
at the beginning of the fight would be a good bit weaker than the next one in the middle. This situation is trouble for Kars. While they're both getting smarter, Cell is
getting stronger, and there aren't many answers in the toolkit of Kars. Now, as for how Kars is going to try to end
the fight. Looking at Kars, I don't see as to what he
could do that would be different from his original gameplan. He's going to try to slice, and strike with
his Hamon. He can modify his blade or change his body
to where he can output the strongest Hamon has can, but that's not saying much. Trying to match Cell isn't enough for this
battle. He needs to get rid of Cell entirely, and
there's nothing he has that's capable of that. I'll get to some highballing soon, but to
Cell first. So, as for how Cell is going to try to end
the fight. Now, he's still working with a lot. Even if Kars has a strong understanding of
all of his abilities, the barrier Kars can build to combat Cell is a barrier Cell can
surpass after a while. The idea here is that Cell is just getting
stronger throughout the fight, and sooner or later, it gets to a point where Kars can't
contest and gets wiped out. That's the easiest Conclusion to pull from
this. That doesn't even take into account what Cell
can do characters usually combat that because they're in dbz—for example, telekinesis—specifically
Psycho Crash, the move that he used to create the Cell games arena. How characters in DBZ can combat things like
telekinesis is usually a power thing. Like, they can power throughout with their
ki it to fight it. Or because they're just so strong, they're
resistant to it like any other ability. If Kars was to get nabbed and then "sashimi'd,"
he could get ended in the same way Trunks ended Frieza. But, I digress. Cell is getting stronger, and there isn't
anything Kars can do about it. Finishing that, let's do the other battle. What if Kars was to be as strong as Cell instead. Remember how Cell had done a Kamehameha from
the sky, and Gohan combatted it with one of his own? There's no beam struggle here. The planet blows up, and there is nowhere
he can combat him. But, let's say this battle isn't on earth. It's in a white void of nothing, and it's
just these two. Cell is still getting progressively stronger. If somehow, Kars was able to start overpowering
Cell, there's no method to get rid of the entirety of Cell. If he wanted to blow up, he would and could. Along with that, you'd get Super Perfect Cell. And there's if there was some sort of contesting
before, there's none now. But, on how Kars could've won. Better evidence, mostly. For example, I'd like to think that Kars could
survive the planet blowing up if he was as strong as Cell. That's a given. But, Cell can breathe in space because of
his Frieza cells. Kars, from what we got in the story, clearly
could not function in space. An ability with the capability of ending someone
in one go would've also had been cool. Or, if we got to see a more extended use of
his powers in Ultimate form. I can headcanon a lot of stuff that Kars could
most likely be able to do, but I didn't want to dive too deep into it for the sake of practicality. I'd like to think about some stuff for Kars
like the Pistol Shrimp and what it could do, but like, as if it could work outside of water. Which it most likely could work with Kars,
but that requires some more looking into. There are a lot of animals like that, so I'll
be looking into that to see what's fairly possible for Kars. If things come up, I'll do a follow-up video
for this. Thank you all for watching! I stream Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and
Saturdays at 4pm PST at twitch.tv/kalebia. Updates and me rambling even more is on Twitter,
and that's about it. Hopefully I'll see you all in the next one! Until then, peace out, and godspeed.
