[Music] hi everyone we are here in San Gabriel Valley and we're going on a huge food tutor all day today and we're gonna take you along with us and our first stop is Taiwanese breakfast and I'm super excited because I love Taiwan and I love Taiwanese breakfast so let's go check it out yeah [Music] so we got some two gold goodies we just got two things because we have a lot of eating coming up oh we don't want to overdo it at the first spot so we got a fan plan which is seriously one of my favorite things in the world it's like a sticky rice wrapped burrito type of thing and in sight they have like pork floss yo tail which is Chinese doughnut and pickled radish yes it's really good and then they also had this like purple rice so we try to keep ice yeah and then we also got a salty soybean milk there's aa Chinese doughnut and green onion and stuff lots of goodies in there I'm not a huge soybean milk person so this is primarily for mom but I'll just try a little bit and hand it over to you I'm excited oh it's hot it's so hot this soybean milk is in the name of the restaurants though the Chinese name the Chinese name cuz the English name is just huge tree pastry oh it's really hot it's too hard for me mmm very good it's um very fragrant and flavorful what I'm missing though you should eat they have some a little dry shrimp ding ding ding I don't see you can I don't taste any either that would be a flaw Oh mmm that fat piece of Chinese doughnut I love that I truly used to not like Chinese doughnut as a kid which is so weird I love it now let's try some certainly is very colorful this mantra actually has such a high yo Chou to rice ratio only tiny bit right no I'll go in there which is unusual but good I mean like I said a good way love yokel usually they put one piece of yo-yo in there is not like they pack to your town and then wrap the rice around - yo tell em hmm yeah I like the fun time it's very good actually better than the so no soy milk hmm we're gonna finish up our breakfast and we'll meet you at the next spot okay so now we're at our second stop which is 101 noodle Express which is very famous down here but they have multiple locations so make sure to check which one you go to because there's actually one right across the street from huge tree pastry but that one had really bad reviews so we went to alejandra one because that one has much better reviews so I think this is like a kind of thing where the quality varies by location yes so let's go check this one out [Music] typing hot look at all that steam and we got the hand-pulled noodles of course cuz I am a sucker for handful they dope and we also got oh I didn't even realize what an order comes with two beef rolls wow that is a huge no it's yes they are super well known for these beef rolls just look at that oh it looks so good we're gonna eat noodles so I got to tie up my hair especially one with noodle soup now I'm ready to eat noodles let's start with the beef wrap okay oh my gosh look it's stuffed with amazing cilantro beef usually they put some sauce in there what kind of sauce is that it isn't like a hoisin sauce hoisin sauce I suppose alright let's take a first bite Wow we are here in trayzell there's nice and crispy mmm also flavor they have some crunchies in there looks like they've lined up some kind of sugar uh-huh to add texture mm-hmm and their beef it's very thinly sliced and very flavorful really good one of the best roll you had this oxtail soup well you can definitely tell those are some hand ripped hand-pulled noodles look at that thick and nice yeah and then here's some oxtail you got some eggs here some veggies looks like seaweed and it comes with this nice clear little broth yep again I guess into this noodle soup I did okay Wow lucky me these are super long noodles it's not as chewy as I expected it to be oh yeah Oh looks chewy yeah it's very flavorful maybe it's also because it's like in the soup you know house when noodles in soup it takes away from the chewiness mmm Nick thought we have to keep them dry noodle dry noodles are the truest noodles the best I'm gonna have a piece of office time I like the officer oh yeah you can tell the upstairs been marinated because it's not just ox flavor you know if there is a certain saltiness this is definitely a very comforting dish I mean how can you go wrong with a hot soup on a cold day even though it's not exactly code in LA it's gloomy today though so you know puts you in that noodle soup mood yes how's the problem you love it mommy is this soup lady you love soup so if mom says good soup he's got to begin to prepare this oh this is only our second stop of this route or I'm getting full I got a safe space for the rest of the places so yeah we're gonna finish up here and then meet you at the third spot okay so now we're at our next stop which is Shawn she garden and we're here to try their Xian noodles but before we go inside I actually wanted to point out that across the street is this restaurant called lose garden and we actually used to eat there all the time whenever we would drive down to SoCal to go to Disneyland this was our first stop with loose garden they have really good congee porridge or with like different kinds of advice yeah and you choose from like buddy Justin kind this side yeah it's like mom's favorite specifically so yeah I just wanted to point that out if you wanted to check that place out - that's in the sgv but yeah we're here to try out Shan Shan garden so let's go [Music] so here we have the beyond yummy noodles looks like it's got some bean sprouts some potato green onions some bean curd carrots we're happy about this cuz we wanted some dry noodles after that noodle soup so this is perfect so let's give it a try Wow look how thick Oh chewy just along on and on and on chewy this whole bowl is just three piece of noodle no he's a noodle but very very long this is my best noodle I've ever eaten hmm that is saying a while coming from her because she does not eat noodles like she doesn't like to eat noodles very much right this is really great I'm still working on that first noodle coming from there oh my god is trying to look for the end oh we finally found the end wow that is a really long you know I love it it's so chewy I know if you want to eat noodle don't eat it in the soup you need to eat the dry noodle this is great mm-hmm and the flavor is really good job she's just come on soy sauce is kind of right but they made it with you know you can taste some meat in it oh yes definitely what you mean kind of me in this pork chop so it's like working noodle this is really good everything just works together really well to sauce all the fixings the noodles obviously chewy did you eat any beans brown but I was eating the other stuff like the bean curd the potato the celery carrot other things one yes please [Music] really good I was exaggerating that this bow is just really love never-ending noodle is that you six see that little this is just a last noodle noodle number six it's literally 11:30 and we're hurting at like our third spot we're very full but the food has been very good so far so yeah that's worth it so we're gonna finish out noodle number six and then we'll see you at the next spot [Music] okay so we just got our hand in Japan we decided to take it to go we got a Hainan chicken dark meat over rice and then it comes with these three sauces for the rice okay so let's try it I usually am NOT a huge hi Nanjing everything just because usually comes with only the ginger sauce and I hate ginger it's literally the one thing I hate the most in the whole world like I really hate ginger but these have different sauces so it looks promising so we have these three sauces here's the ginger one here's the orange wah we hope it's icy and then this one it's this dark like soy sauce colored one let's grab a piece of meat I'm gonna go for this orange sauce and get a good bite mmm what is that Orissa it's like not that spicy it's like kind of a hot sauce flavor but the spices solve isn't that strong but the chicken is really good really tender and moist pretty like perfectly cooked I mean it's dark meat so it has some fattiness to it so we thought your fraternity party well I tried the traditional ginger sauce in America she is more of the Hainan chicken expert than me so the rice is very good too actually very flavorful all by itself oh really you should just try the rice alone yeah right chicken bath or something here do you mean hot chicken broth with a lot of Hainan chicken places cook the rice and chicken broth gives it that extra flavor Oh even chicken oil oh really yeah so what do you think about the together I think the chicken has the right texture is very tender and juicy and with the sauce it makes it really legit really legit very nice mom approves mm-hmm this is our was a fourth meal of the day and it's only noon Oh food coming so hard you should close the window we have to have a nap before we hit the last stop because we can't have a food tour without dessert right yeah so yeah maybe we need a nap before that all right we'll see you at the dessert place [Music] okay so now we're at miss cheese tea cafe in Pasadena and I got these matcha to play pancakes it's been sitting for a while so it's not a scratch but jiggly okay so we're gonna try some we got matcha and it has a red bean on top oh this texture already like oh oh love me I'm thinking yes my stuffies like hybrid of us to play and a pancake get some red bean in laughs yeah this one is a cloud is very very fluffy and much and redfield really works with it it's like melt-in-your-mouth of money it's very I get to because you know survivor very again very icky extra icky you need extra [Music] really good what a great way to end a food tour I love you feel this very good white dessert you're not gonna feel too heavy after this and it's not just to me either the taste is almost kind of like a sponge cake yes but actually it does taste a lot like a souffle okay so that's it for food tour of st.
