Ukraine destroys over 5000 Russian tanks despite winter offensive fears

most of the people who are talking about the progress they are talking about the land we are talking about the people and we are talking about the achievements that we have right now in these 20 months and the achievements are the following 300,000 of Russian soldiers have been killed by our um army and these people are not going to fight anywhere else not going to rape anybody else not going to torture anybody else then over 300 planes were taken down with our amount of being so much less and over 5,000 tanks have been destroyed you into the studio tell us first what you're doing in the UK what's the purpose of your visit hello Casey thank you so much for having me and thank you so much for helping us keeping the focus on Ukraine as you said it's getting harder and harder with the conflict in Gaza moving on I'm here to uh push the project that we are working on on the confiscation of Russian State assets as of right now there are $500 billion stored in the Democratic countries of Russian money these money are just there they're sitting there doing nothing and what we want is to confiscate them and use them for the sake of Ukraine yeah any Prospect of getting agreement on that well a year ago nobody believed in uh possibility of that just bill Browder our good friend who said well I think we can push it and can do that so since that time I'm have made actually a huge progress so in Canada the legislation to do that has been passed in the United States a weaker but also a legislation is there and there is a bill in the UK Parliament to uh do exactly that confiscate Russian assets but it has not been moving and we want to work with all the parties to figure out what would it uh take to get it out and get it voted right but there is an important result in Europe so um Prime Minister of Belgium Alexander deow has made a decree where he just takes the interest that is on the Russian State assets and this interest is not small it's 1.4 billion euros and we are waiting until this money would arrive to Ukraine and will be used for the rebuilding of the country but also for the preparation for the winter right and well let's talk about the winter because um there you know there has been some progress in the last week or so um but frustrations also about the speed of the Ukrainian counter offensive what are are those Justified those fears in among some of your supporters in particular I think we should be looking differently at the speed of the counter offensive and the result of counter offensive because most of the people who are talking about the were taken down with our amount of place being so much less and over 5,000 tanks have been destroyed so that there's real achievements but I I I feel the frustration from the ukrainians about you know the fact that the international Focus has shifted this week you had David Cameron the new foreign secretary in Ukraine seeing your president how important was that did was there was it symbolic or was it more than that it's of course more than that first of all of course it is symbolic and the United Kingdom has been fantastic in ramping up Ukrainian people and providing us with those symbols I would like to remind you that the first leader of the European countries that visited us since the beginning of full scale invasion was Boris Johnson and Ukrainian people remember that we have still souvenirs with his name we have uh um Boris Johnson burgers in some of the cafes so people remember the courage and ability to make bold moves and so right now for us it is incredibly important it is the ramp up of the moral that we need but it's that's not um only it um um Mr Cameron has promised us the Diplomatic military and Financial support and we need all of that we need diplomatic supports to push the countries that are not imposing sanctions on Russia just yet we need military support because you see that our allies are kind of dropping the ball a little bit on that uh especially with this promise of 1 billion ammunition pieces that has not been delivered just yet so how worried are you that that this international support for Ukraine which was so strong is fraying this I worry a lot because it it is Putin's plan because he hoped that he would drag this into the war of attri that there would be elections in Democratic countries that the unity of democratic leaders would not last and that people would get distracted and turn their heads and eyes into something else well if we know that this is the plan we have to oppose it and we have to fight it and this is why I'm here as well to make sure that people remember that we exist that we are fighting and there is has nothing changed in our resilience and our goal to liberate our country and briefly there have been calls for president zinsky to visit Gaza in a kind of show of solidarity what do you think about that I think it's very complicated uh security wise and it's very complicated for president to leave the country right now so I would let that to his team and um uh they will they will make the decision but I think our main goal right now is to get the support around us as much as possible and do whatever it takes to do that and do you think the US is distracted by being so involved in the Israel Hamas conflict I think the US has the capacity to help both but uh the result that we see is that the financial support for the next year has not been voted just yet and uh right now uh it's very hard for me to explain to people who are fighting at the front what's going on and if we will have the weapons the ammunition that we need next year kir rudik thank you very much for coming into the studio and uh good luck with your mission in Parliament I'm sure you're going to be speaking to lots of
