Rodney Elkins me and the fellas played in Paducah Kentucky not too long ago and we had ourselves a whirlwind adventures pretty interesting I wish I could tell you everything but I got the time and we ended up getting all the way to Huntington they dropped me off and I headed back towards Lewisburg grew up and spend most of my time I got to Milton I got pulled over got an 81 and I guess was 70 I'm sure and then we did that and I was pulling away from the ticket and I realized I had flat tire so I hung out in Milton back when I had short hair and the Opie Taylor factor going for me I would have got you know how I got a helped in a good long while because I've got to tell you a senora had got a flat three weeks before that I let her borrow my jacket my lug wrench and I didn't have that back yet but with this ponytail going on you know people that looked like a hobo I guess and they want to help me I spent a couple hours there and I wrote this song it's called going home don't ever hit your mother with a show leaves a dull impression our brain police are peddling all and people over for nothing but a for a night nothing to do and my eyes are wide and my hands are kind of shaking for some trouble there I got into my tags overdue buddy huh Oh there's toes both ways and I'm the only person who came to watch me play last night I got a cut of the door it's about this time I started calling how my mother said I didn't wanna be an artist his artists for buddy I'm going home right now I love gas just give me back hello the chief patiently wait another warning boy every time cross like plain soda joy buddy I'm nowhere this is a picture from the Chaffin can reunion she is wearing my favorite dress it makes me a mess and it's hard on the road when every mile that I'm driving she's staring at me from the - my favorite Chris so buddy I'm going home right now out of gas you just get me back and know that she's patiently waiting on warning boy every time cross her my heart goes dancing like a world's plain soda joy buddy I'm down buddy I was raised in Lawrence County Kentucky Bowen school over in Johnson County Paintsville high school I graduated from and after I graduated school I spent a little time walking around town and working at the local Sears doing deliveries we would bring in your washing your dryer and refrigerator and all that good stuff we were about as big as the biggest from here at the end of the stage you had two lawn mowers and a couple refrigerators most of the stuff that we delivered you had to order online did a lot of deliveries over in Magoffin County and when we go to Magoffin County we take the long way because that's how you get paid the most for doing the least amount of work you take the long way around it if you don't remember anything out of the night remember work smarter not harder but I did deliveries with a fellow named Joe and Joe it was pretty interesting character and he always had tall tales and flat-out lies and we would pass White House on her way to Magoffin County and he'd tell me all those weekend's there so I wrote a song for me and Joe it's called White House Road early in the morning when the Sun Rise playing in the bed with bloodshot eyes late in the evening when the Sun sinks low that's about the time my rooster crows I got winning up and down this Creek and keep me going in my engine clean run me ragged it I don't fret the rain band one slow me down none yet give me hit me hard in the grocery field make my troubles to the Oh there roll I got people try to tell me read keep this living in your wand of death cast your troubles on the Lord of lords windup playing on a cool but I got buddies up White House Road then keep me struggling a feet hang low Rock a whiskey gonna ease my pain then all this run is gonna keep me sane get me drinking that moonshine give me higher than the grocery bill take my drugs I walk through and get your fill we've been sniffing I ain't nothin better in the wing cut somebody heartily damn you when you Lambie in the cold or clay won't sing them hymns while the banjo plays you can tell them ladies at the art not frown cuz there ain't been nothin ever held me down wit or shallow old blues drinkin a flu shot give me aisle in the grocery field take my truck the our it's never okay cut somebody on it's damn good Nero and good feeling run these road I think so much food stamps everybody all right well a couple more here for you this one right here is on uh this is Chinese traditional called tuning Otis for a very special lady in my life there's no longer with us it's called folly Virgie back before these calloused hands and all this work please sit up at the flats acting like we live forever getting high and skipping class yeah I reckon we were heathens but in her eyes we were saying now you're calling all the boys home sevens angels carry turned away so I will follow you to Virgie although it hurts me sold later ask this mountain beauty its lords called home and I can see her up in glory I can see her through the pines back when all us boys are trying to make sense of all these strings I can see her in the corner singing along to all our crazy dreams I will follow you to Virgie although it hurts me so play to rest this mountain beauty and Lourdes called home and I can see her up in glory I can see her through the pines I will follow you to Virgie cuz that's what us poised are for to help you out when you get weary and you can't go no more can't you see her out there Cody I can see her through the pines same boys be good you you I should appreciate it thanks gift coming out thanks being tenant quiet and attentive it is radio show good lord y'all be quiet this last night here's called lady Mae I'm a stone's throw from the mill and I'm good walk to the river when my working day is over we'll go swim our cares away put your toes down in the water add a smile costs your face and tell me that you love me lovely lady may I ain't the sharpest chisel that your hands ever held darling I could love you well till the rolls : I've seen my share trouble I've held my weight in shame but I'm baptized in your name lady or the wind can leave you shivering as waltzes or leaves it's been rushing through my timber til your love brought on the spring Mountains all abortion and they don't know what to say except a good long a lot of praises for my lovely lady May I ain't the toughest Hickory and your axes ever fell but I'm a Hickory just as well I'm a Hickory always say I came crashing through the forest as you cut my roots away and I fell good long ways for my lovely lady that's like Tyler Childers right there from down in the Paintsville Kentucky area originally now living up in Lewisburg West Virginia
