TWINS NURSERY RENOVATION PART 1

today's video is about the twins room and the renovation that we've been doing this is where the bathroom is gonna go mark is really earning his money right now we got some serious stuff going on here it's awesome i know it's a room now right i can't even express how stoked i am hey everybody we are so excited to bring you this video today um before we start off make sure that you like subscribe we're getting so close right very close we're gonna have those babies this week i think i think so check out this belly it's getting huge guys like i have to have this belly band it's like a strap-on [Laughter] but today's video is about the twins room and the renovation that we've been doing we have been living through with this crazy renovation yeah that's why we haven't really been in too much of a rush to get the twins to come here i haven't tried all of the wi-fi yet because i'm like okay it wouldn't be terrible if it came after the construction workers weren't in our house every day yeah it has been hectic so we are going to flash back to when we started this renovation this was a garage and now it is a beautiful room and this is part one we're gonna do a part two when all the furniture is in there and it's pretty and and clean but we are almost there we're like three days maybe three days away from it being completely done yeah i'm so excited such a relief all right let's do it that's what they've cut for the plumbing here let's see this is where the bathroom is gonna go mark is really earning his money right now so yeah everything's been saw cut and now they're just digging up the concrete this is where the plumbing is going right now he is standing where the the bathroom is going to be [Music] what's happening out there leslie at the car [Music] cool [Music] hi truck wow it's a big truck it's big yeah wait you wanna go back and watch over here she wants to see it in the garage oh you're a little freaky oh let's check it out oh hi sorry oh bye whoa it looks like hot lava looks like lava yeah it's right there all right [Music] [Music] so these walls are going up today guys are finishing framing and standing in where this will be the tub and the shower it's awesome i know it's a room now right it's pretty cool i can see it it's a little hard with the light coming in but there's the entrance to the bathroom you can kind of see through the vanity building be right there the tub and the shower and then through this doorway will be the closet oh my god that is quite the hole essie yeah what do you think about that [Music] yeah wow so this is how they connect the plumbing from the twins room to the main part of the house what is it oh my gosh a big hole in the ground what happened to our kitchen what did we do okay so today is a big day at the house we are doing we're getting new windows we got some windows coming in i know look at this that one's for your room pretty cool we wanted the exterior to match so we got the same window for leslie's room as a twins room they're from sierra pacific we're really excited to have them installed because they are super good quality um they're dual pane and they're a little bit bigger so that the exterior of the house will be a little bit holy hold me down follow me all right anyways they're gonna install them it's dirty it's so dirty check out this guy we got some serious stuff going on here they're taking your window out [Music] how's it going dad are you okay okay he's very stressed for some reason construction maybe it's just a little stressful for you today more stressful i was like a lesbian come on we're gonna give dad a moment let's go walk around this is really exciting you wanna go see this baby's room okay so let me show you guys what's happening here here is the entrance it's looking a little bit better than the last time we've got drywall what do you think is it cool it's cool okay look at your brother and sister's bathroom so this is the wet room it's all been schluter they call it okay so here is the vanity box and yeah coming along so some progress so here's a little update on the exterior so there's our current garage there's where the garage door used to be as you can see the pavers uh run right up to it so we're gonna change the landscaping in front of that hide that utility door this will obviously all get painted the same color but they just stucco today so this year pacific windows look great we used to have these little pop-ins right here and so we filled those in um there is the twins room window and then we made sure this window looked like alessi's window over there so we changed leslie's window as well to match and those are the scuppers we had to move those so once it's all painted i hope that kind of blends in you don't really notice it as much but yeah big progress on the outside of the house today okay we're gonna give you a little update on the nursery today a lot of stuff happening today they're painting the walls again they're already primed so that's the color over there i don't know if you can see the difference but it's just white it's going to be really really exciting and then we have the bathroom over here we've got most of the tile and so far we've got this little patch they're going to come back and fix on friday and today's a huge day because we're doing the courts yes so this whole shower like the walls and the tub um are all going to be quartz so i'm super excited to see that and then we're also doing a waterfall quartz countertop in here so lots of cool things happening horns off to the doctors and i will film a little progress uh update once the course is all in and we are getting close to the finish line i mean i'm talking about the finish line for the renovation and the twins it's all gonna i feel like happen at the same time i woke up this morning at like 5 a.m because i think i was having a real contraction which i've never felt before which is kind of weird because i was induced with a lessee but yeah we were scared going to hospital this morning so hopefully they hold on for coming soon so they're outside here cutting the courts here is the exterior of the room now so it's been stuccoed on this side as well so we're just waiting on paint for that yeah it's pretty incredible they cut it here and then they place it in the bathroom and this is uh sort of a plastic over it but this is the actual finish here and this is uh ivory white from arizona tile okay so today is a big day we are home we have my mom here we're less in the background there but pottery barn is here and they're putting together our day bed for the twins room but it's chaos it won't fit through the doorway so they're they're building it in there we're trying to keep it clean i'm gonna show give you a little sneak peek of the twins room right now but yeah so we're gonna obviously wrap it but it's kind of coming together so it looks cool so here it is we have that chandelier hung that might go up a little bit but as you can see there's still work to be done in here so we're gonna cover it and keep it nice really excited because it's gonna turn out really cool as you can see there's this huge patched pole right here because this is where the garage door used to be and we ended up moving it back a little bit so it'd be a little bit more private since it's a bedroom right it's a little bit away from the kitchen and main living space this is the door this is just a temporary door too by the way yeah we're still working on this they're still gonna caulk and paint and all that good stuff yeah so anyways welcome to their nursery it's very white and bright i think it'll be it'll be a little less sterile looking when we put the wallpaper in here and we've got all the furniture because there's like wallpaper going there wallpaper going there there's gonna be such cute stuff in here we are working with pottery barn for a nursery so like they helped us design this whole thing so it's gonna be so cute this is the bathroom yeah so i know look right behind you so let's talk about this first so this is the vanity lauren designed this um still waiting on the cabinet fronts to come in but it is a waterfall quartz counter yeah it's gonna be beautiful it has white oak cabinets here there's gonna be under lighting which is like one of my favorite features of the whole bathroom and there's also upper lighting that shines down in the little showers as well let me show you this okay this is like i don't know i can't even express how stoked i am on how this turned out yeah we come in here and just sit at night when everyone's gone we're like this thing is so pretty we're so excited so you want to show them the light yeah [Music] ready yeah so this is i feel like i'm in a i don't know a vegas hotel or something you know like a super fancy hotel i love it so i want to show you some detail stuff here because this is what's called a mitered edge so it's a 45 degree into a 45 so it makes this really clean um line here and so that's around all the windows and the tub is an underlay so you can see that the tub goes underneath this slab of quartz um those faucets are from delta faucet and the quartz all from arizona tile and this uh what's it called i want to say white over a white ivory ivory white i believe every white quartz even though it's gray um but i am obsessed with it it looks so good so i still have to grout this so the grout color is going to be a little bit different it'll actually kind of match this there's going to be a lighter gray in between these so these won't be as contrasty as it looks right now and then we're gonna have um my brother-in-law come in and do glass so the glass will go from there all the way there will be a door right here with some black hardware and the whole like thought behind this bathroom was to keep the babies all in one space yeah so we could shower with the lessee and have the babies in the bath and i think that would be like the perfect scenario to tackle all three at bath time at the same time yeah and then they'll all three playing the bathtub together and then i can do my makeup and get ready right here that was like yeah and then we've got a mirror coming it's just gonna be like a black frame and it has an arch over it so i'm really excited to see what that looks like when we get it in but it's all coming together we're so close it's their closet too by the way yeah so close so we will update you on part two which will be the reveal of everything with furniture in there and i can't wait for you guys to see the final product but we are so close so we're really excited so stay tuned for the next video yep we're being summoned by alessi so actually the next video might be the birth of the twins i don't even know we might have to continue this after the twins are born so cross your fingers for us for a safe delivery and we'll see you in the next one bye
