TURN: 'Wrapping Up' Season 4 Finale Behind the Scenes

to the signal gallantry of an emissary unsung but not uncelebrated this was my way to connect to a time and a place and in certain events that informed my life every day and yet I feel disconnected from them I'll come true whose its life's to heroes whose names are will never now by finding they would halt and these people who were unsung heroes who weren't sure what the right way to go was and then found their way to it I was able to find myself back in that time we have a way to strike back right here it's an honor to playing someone who really did something who really took it upon themselves to stand up to the time when firming up was dangerous and I think it's incredibly incredibly noble than the chance to show the public a version of this man there's a great honor deception betrayal chaos these are the enemies that we face the enemies of truth one of the best things I'm working on turn has been the people the cast and crew and the creators always felt like we had a common goal to tell this story with as much honor and as much truth as possible I feel like we gave real representation of the humans involved in this incredibly exciting story I'm not done fighting my Legend is yet to be written I will return to the colonies and I think employment this has been an incredible journey you know I remember saying to my agent I said I want to be on a horse I want to swing a saw and I want to shoot some guns and I I want to be in a period costume and then this arrived and it just felt like manna from heaven it was just it was a destiny gig the work on a period show is relentless I mean to see the detail that went into every set piece and prop and location it was like watching a beautiful ballet every day to have this foundation to come back to a familiar foundation that grew and grew its use a real gift I think we do incredibly well to realize what we doin strain sometimes principle must be tempered with practicality it's changed me I'm a different man today than I was before all this started for sure the only thing I regret is having to be prodded into doing something that my conscience should have dictated I had learned so much from Townsend and it's been such an honor to play someone whose story has never been told the show will never leave me and Peggy most rent me will never leave me I will definitely miss her I don't know if I'm gonna miss the corsets but oh I loved it whenever I had a nightgown seen said never wear Michael said though it was a lovely day I just launched around my nightgown Upper Canada has need of leadership excellent no we fighting there no one it wouldn't be going there to fight go it's very rare that one gets such complex human beings as I have had to play on this show and the writing of it and the crafting of that journey has been extraordinary the series has given me so much I got to work with just the greatest actors the planet it was always so much fun even the scariest scenes so much joy Anna set so it's been a really wonderful journey Anna and very very sad goodbye to this one I miss the people this show has been such a big part of our lives for four years and it's just strange that we're not going to come back every day I got to put on the boots of General George Washington was a good day as much as I cherish the on-screen moments that we've had it's all the off-screen moments that I'm really gonna I think look back on and remember and feel like are a part of me now it really for me it was incredibly rewarding in every way with a real privilege [Music]
