Tubebuddy vs VidIQ: Which One Is The Best?

vid IQ and tubebuddy are both very useful YouTube SEO tools but they both offer different features and in today's video I'm going to be answering the question of which one is better tubebuddy or vid IQ so as I mentioned we're going to be comparing vid IQ and tubebuddy and determining which application and which tool is the best one to help us compare these two tools though we're going to be breaking this video down into four categories those categories are keyword research video optimization which is easier to use and then we'll be comparing pricing so first up which is best for keyword research so when doing keyword research with vid IQ vid IQ not only shows you the search volume and competition of the keyword you're looking up but then it also shows you the search volume and competition of related keywords vid IQ actually shows you a ton of data on each keyword that it shows you it gives you the search volume the overall competition and then for the related keywords it shows you how well the keyword relates to your main keyword this is useful for determining which keywords will be best to implement into your keywords for your YouTube video and then vid IQ also gives you an overall score of each individual keyword now with tubebuddy tubebuddy only displays the search volume and competition for one keyword and if you want to get more keywords that are related to the main keyword that you're looking up then you have to individually Click on each word to see the data on each keyword this makes the process of doing keyword research on tubebuddy very inconvenient something different though that tubebuddy shows as far as data for each keyword it shows you an unweighted and a weighted score for each keyword what does that mean well they calculate the weighted score according to your domain's Authority and then for the unweighted score it's more of a general score for the keyword so which is better well with my experience using both of these tools I think vid IQ is a clear winner for keyword research it's more convenient and it gives you the best results between the two so now we're going to be comparing the two tools for which is best for video optimization so for video optimization for vid IQ you can find suggested keywords in the video tags section of vid IQ however though it's limited to about 40 video optimizations using the Boost plan for the keywords that vid IQ suggests it shows you the SEO score and then after adding the keywords to your video vid IQ then automatically suggests which keywords to put in your description and in your title so for video optimization with tubebuddy it shows you a ton of keywords along with their SEO score and you can actually sort these keywords by relevance keyword score and search traffic tubebuddy as well will suggest which tags to put in your description and your title and that is through the tubebuddy SEO studio so which is best keyword suggestions that each tool provides are quite similar but the difference in each of these applications is the pricing vid IQ offers the video optimization feature in its boost plan which starts out at 39 per month whereas with tubebuddy this feature is found in the Pro Plan and this is priced at seven dollars and 20 cents per month so as far as the most value you're getting tubebuddy gives you more value for less money so now which application is easier to use well for vid IQ it works very smoothly and it's extremely easy to use it's simple and all the options are easily accessible and it's Chrome extension works very smoothly and is very easy to use now for tubebuddy it's also easy to use but it directly integrates with the YouTube dashboard this makes it appear really complex and loaded with a ton of features now tubebuddy's interface is a little older and a little outdated and on the website and on the extension sometimes there can be some slower performance now for the winner I'd say vid IQ is easier to use and although both of these tools don't require any technical knowledge you can't expect to Jump Right In and know everything about the application but still I'd say vid IQ is easier to use now for pricing so both vid IQ and tubebuddy both offer free plans so if you're an absolute beginner you can go ahead and start use using one of these free plants so tubebuddy offers three different plans first up there's the Pro Plan which is 5.99 per month then the star plan which is 14.99 per month and then the legend plan which is 29.99 per month so for vid IQ they actually offer three plans as well first up the Pro Plan which is seven dollars and fifty cents per month then the Boost plan which is 39 per month and then the max plan which is 79 per month so I hope this video has helped you
