suffering what is long-suffering to us word not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance amen now let us pray let us go before the throne of god dear heavenly father we thank you for this great grand opportunity father that we could come boldly before the throne of grace that we have access to your throne this morning that we are alive and well we are in the land of the living lord we thank you for one more day one more time one more opportunity that we could meet our father even virtually we thank you mighty god as we come boldly before the throne of grace in the mighty precious name of jesus christ of nazareth your son your one and only begotten son that you gave that we that we could have life and have it more abundantly we thank you father it's not by chance are by book ups it's not by any good that we have done but because of your grace and your mercy your loving kindness towards us we thank you father we bless your holy name we exalt you we lift you up we place you at the at the highest place jesus for you are the great high priest oh we thank you lord we pray for your divine intervention intervention father in our greater situations father in each and every one of our lives almighty god we pray a touch a special touch a special visitation in our homes father we pray in the name of jesus that your will be done and your kingdom will come savior of this world our thing for sabbath school this morning is come and the acronym for calm children old folks middle age and everyone the acronym for calm is children all folks middle age everyone whatever age group you find yourself in the lord is saying this morning come for a witch for he wish not for any should perish but all to come to repentance in the scriptures we are we studied and learned of the wonderful love of god so great that he gave himself for his enemies in order for they in order that they might be reconciled to him and that as in the death of christ we receive the life of god and we are there thereby one with him and we know therefore as by one man sin entered into the world by death my sin and so death pass unto all men for the wages of sin is death but the gift of god is eternal life he had one situation to deal with how can i destroy sin without destroying the sinner romans 5 20 reminds us moreover the law entered that the offence my might might abound but where sin abound grace grace did much more upon for i have come that they may have life and have it fuller and more abundantly john 10 verse 10 if you have sinned within you you are a candidate for destruction what jesus is saying come where there is a bucket of sin there is an ocean full of grace so come you say you show me a sinner i show you grace you show me a sinner i show you my savior who is willing to help you get rid of sin and to aid you to be a part of the family of god come come to me for you who are weary and burdened and i will give you rest matthew 11 just take some time to to pause and to be able to just think about how lovely how wonderful our god is holy is our god and uh it's it's it's wonderful to be able to partake of some rest on this sabbath day and we'll be talking a bit about that this morning welcome uh leader marshall there i see you uh in church i'm on a little zoom background kicker trying to find stuff that you know looks good then hey it looks it looks good but i gotta i gotta fix my enough i gotta you know i gotta i gotta do something a little different a little better coming forward um have you been resting this sabbath well the leader leader marshall have you been resting this sabbath day i've been trying and it's been working i think how about you oh yeah well you know it's it's physical arrest it's difficult with uh with my current situation um with you know about a six week old but uh god gives us a different type of rest which we'll be talking about today just in case you haven't been uh or what haven't been able to look at this week's lesson we're talking this morning about longing for more i'm doing a little longing for more we're going to read the memory text going to read the objectives and then we're going to pray and get started uh if you could um uh leader leader marshall if you could read the text for us please from first corinthians 10 verse 16. it says now these things took place as examples for us that we might not desire evil as they did examples yes indeed so uh two objectives uh for today maybe maybe two and a half uh the objectives of our lesson study today are to learn from the examples learn from the examples that have come before us and a specific one that we'll talk about and then also to know what this rest is and how to enter into god's rest to know what this rest is and how to enter into god's rest uh the title again is longing for more and my subtitle is the rest of the rest the rest of the rest let's pause let's pray lord i want to thank you so much for giving us the sabbath this day of rest and gladness we ask lord that your holy spirit now abides with us wherever we are we thank you for your omnipotence and your omnipresence that you might indeed give us power and be with us bless us now help us to have an interactive wonderful and illuminating study in jesus name amen all right uh again it's uh the title is longing for more um however have you ever had something that you you had a situation uh leader marshall ever been in something where he was like you know what i want i want i'm looking forward to something i'm longing for war is there something that you that you can remember in your life that you say you know what i'm longing for the next level of this anything that you can think of maybe maybe maybe maybe the day before you got married there was a much higher i could go from that but i but i will say that um in that sense you know when you're when you when your situations you know where they are at school and you're pretty well working up when you say there must be more than more than this you always say what next what next or if you beat in no relationships that weren't so good or relationships that were okay but then they ended before particular reasons they know if this was good there must be more than that and then when you meet the one who supports for you in that regard then you say this is indeed it so i can say that in those instances i have had that learning football and i've achieved a lot of that in that regard that's a fantastic fantastic uh lead into like when you have found the one yeah yeah yeah you found the one who put a capital o on that when you found the one when you talk about when you find jesus uh because sometimes you think that you know if we find someone and they're they're they're uh they're with us and then of course you say okay we get married and then marriage is you know those old books to say and they live happily ever after they get married and everything happily ever after well it's a big thing um our other co-host or other partner patrick asking the main host is just to please um add him to the roster so to speak um all right good to see you brother patrick rose always good to see you my brother um and uh again you're muted though i see you saying thanks for joining us good to have you this morning um yeah happy sabbath episode to everybody it's good to be on good good good to have you we're uh excited to be talking about longing for more when we're talking about uh that longing that we have for we get a when we get a glimpse of something and we have a a glimpse of something but then there's a long that we have for something greater and uh and uh so we have a couple of things that we want to talk about today a couple of objectives we mentioned before learning from the examples from those in the past i want to go right into they do a nice job in sunday's lesson about a model or an example of something and then it's like well that's just an example there's something bigger something greater uh that we can look at and see it as look that we can look forward to i want to uh uh talk about uh in sunday's lesson going to first corinthians chapter 10 uh verses 1 through 11. um so we're going to try to read this well but i want to and i mentioned this uh the group i i like how our youth preacher our evangelist went through the word so i'm going to read a bit of this from first corinthians 10 1 through 11. i'm going to pause i think somewhere in the middle uh first one says for i do not want you to be unaware brethren that our fathers were all under the cloud and passed through the sea and all were baptized into moses in the cloud and in the sea and all ate the same spiritual food and all drank the same spiritual drink they were drinking from a spiritual rock which followed them and the rock was right nevertheless okay what's happening now nevertheless with most of them god was not well pleased but they were laid low in the wilderness and it goes down uh in verse six that was our verse of the week which is now these things happened as examples for us so that we would not crave evil things as they crave and so it talks about verse seven we'll get to that in a little while but what happened i need somebody telling what's the context of this what is what is uh paul telling us now what do we need to be uh understanding from these examples what did the what did the people of that moses led in the wilderness what did they do wrong um simply put they were disobedient so they were disobedient yes yeah just obedient to whom to moses to joshua to god they didn't they didn't have faith they doubted and more than daughter they acted on the doubt you know because it's one thing to sometimes waver and wonder what's happening but it's another thing to say to deny what god has done and they denied what god did and they went their own way in terms of rejecting the rest that he had offered them but wait a minute wait a minute wait a minute they they ate the spiritual fruit they had that bread from heaven they had that living water they were baptized they did all these wait a minute i've been baptized i think you i think you gentlemen have been baptized too i've i've i've had some uh communion and participated in communion that's going to save me right nope no no i thought i had you know i at that point i i i've done these things what's going to i don't understand these things are and so i i guess what's happening is these oh that's the same thing that these people of old did they were baptized they walked through the red sea they had that manner from heaven it was fantastic it was tasty it was delicious it was nutritious they heard the bread uh from heaven they had the these things but what was the outer part was there but the heart was not oh that disobedience and it says here they were baptized and they're dead they were idolaters acted immorally they grumbled and complained hmm mercy let me let me go right down now to the to the question in this lesson um is there anything at the end of sunday's lesson says think back on the experience of the israelites in the exodus what spiritual lessons can we learn from their examples both the good and the bad that they left us give me something good i'm going to ask uh uh brother patrick rose give me something good that we can learn from the israelites um well there's hardly much you can learn from the israelites of all because everything that they did was more or less in the negative sense but what what had answered to that is that we showed that spiritual food that they had that manner and that water that they got from the rock we should always just like moses was because moses would be a good one to use as the example we should always try and be focused on jesus on god that's what moses did during his wilderness experience he was always focused on jesus always loving him always doing what god wanted so it was always obedient focused on that living rock focused on that living food that's my take away in a positive sense from moses who represented at the time israel i i appreciate that that was a really tough question because i was trying to figure out what positives these people murmured and complained and did all these things but that's a wonderful thing that they had this pillar of cloud and a pillar of fire that was in front of them and if we keep our focus on jesus he was the one in that fight he was the fire he was the cloud and it was it's a wonderful thing to be able to keep our eyes focused on jesus i'm going to go quickly to the two yeah well in support of that almost like his hand up as well but in support of what you and patrick said i'll consider the example also of joshua and caleb you know in terms of individuals who gave a positive feedback in terms of when they came there with all these spies who went out and gave a positive report saying let's go forward in god's strength not our own because the ten spires who look backwards were saying we can't take on these guys because we we they're giants and we are not we're like grasshoppers but joseph joshua and caleb are pointing to the fact that with god behind us we can do this thing god has given it into our hand and the same that's the same attitude that we need to have right now as well to have the faith that god has given whatever it is he's called us to do he's equipped us to to do it yes his his biddings are his enablings um a point i wanted to make as well um gentlemen you know the children of israel wandered through the wilderness they wondered um and we're so much like them we're in a wilderness too we have a wilderness down here on planet earth it's filled with sin everywhere we go everything we do there's temptations in our way there's that lovely girl there's that lovely whatever whatever it is these things come at us that the television um you know the the the gadget that you have which keeps you so plugged into everything that's happening there's so much coming at us probably even more no than in the days of israel so much coming at us it is so easy for us to lose our way so many philosophies around us even in the church we have them so it is so so easy to lose our way we have to be focused on jesus we have to love him and we have to be going out there and sharing jesus with others that is what will empower us and keep us as members in the field those are some excellent points we'll talk about a few of them a bit more uh coming up uh if i see uh elder carson claire's hand up uh and then after that i'll read some of these uh comments from our chat ellis and claire yes good uh morning everyone you know uh leader jeffrey actually said everything i was going to say because you asked a question about the people what that reminds me of the passages in the world the word of god says and i like it probably my we call it password our term we're to actually get it together here's a bunch of people what can i say there are some grapes in there that were good the one who did the two spies you know what they should have learned is that it's not about us i think i did this i think it's somewhere in mark or my marketing kit is somewhere there that said we must decrease and he must increase those spies the 10 went and look and looking at the quarter people they have if they can manage what's over the wall but it's not about us it wasn't about them as was uploaded earlier by by by brother rose they are they were for instance they were ancient israel we are modern israel right so we are to the lesson says it we have to learn from them not to make same mistakes they made so when we go in our strength even for our numbers of past years we still can't win and he asks us not to fight our battles ourselves right so we must learn from this we are tortured get it together as long as we go in his name we win before we start to go before we step from the heart says jesus said god and this year we're looking at let's go i will go whatever the term is go go when we are willing to go he will direct martin he gives perfection the clothes food came out in one pair of slippers per person for 40 years and it did nothing the buckle dropped i don't even had buckles but not that never fall off no strap pulled nothing for the clothes that were fuzzled who could do that that's the god we serve well said thank you sir i'm going to i'm going to uh read just a bit of a quote here from all right then i read the uh the the messages from the chat please continue to to participate right whether vocally or in the chat uh but now it says the example of ancient israel is given as a warning to the people of god that we i'll change that to we may avoid unbelief and escape from god's wrath their example is given as a warning against disobedience that we may be sure that the wages of sin is death that god's retributive justice never fails and that he exacts from his creatures a strict regard for his commandments so we're going to get into this we've been talking about obedience uh and and then someone uh i think of the i don't know first name but a pastor moore said uh the question is often asked to him and something maybe it's been asked to you well will god really test the world on just one day of the week like is that really going to be a test of the world will that be the mark of the beast it seems like it's it's not too big of a deal then his response always is well he god tested adam and eve with a tree and it's like yeah that that's that's it seems like not a big deal but that's what got us in this big mess right now and it's it did the it's not about really the tree it's not about so much the day it's about that obedience god said it we need to do it all right going right to the the chat here um it uh from sister uh sinclair lena sinclair said they had the pillar of cloud by day and the pillar fire by night the presence was with them yet they did not believe is that us today is god's presence with us yes yes and we still don't believe um and that means we but that includes me as well um i think we as a seventh-day adventist church of course i was asked in the chat i think about sister rose what was what are we doing now that is different from the israelites and what we are doing that's different is we have i think just as much knowledge and still doing nothing with it you know or either we'll take it to that extreme of doing nothing or thinking that because we're adventists we go unclear and that's the that's the most dangerous trap that we can get into of thinking in my opinion of thinking you know that we because we have all this knowledge and we know the truth knowledge doesn't save us you know the devil knows the truth as well the devil knows the truth better than any one of us and he's still the devil so it's not a matter of knowing the truth it's a matter of what are we doing with the knowledge what are we are we obese or being obedient and not just being obedient by keeping the sabbath by obeying what obeying his command do we know jesus do we know the lord of the sabbath or do we just know the sabbath that kind of thing i think we have to be capable of adventures that's a that's a really good distinction here um that talks about deleted tests directly into monday's lesson um uh actually sorry i got to read a couple more things from the chat here it says uh i know uh you just quoted from sisterhood i said uh uh it started out they started out the israelites started out okay but they were obedient while in bondage while in their bondage um says it now boils down to an individual relationship with god account and kiwami say some if not most of the children of israel did not believe as you just mentioned marshall and they unfortunately missed out on the spiritual rest and we sometimes do the same things we must make sure that we don't miss out on the spiritual rest we need a lot of coercing daily says uh crystal simpson uh to believe what which is sad um i'll read a couple more in a second but i do appreciate that uh mentioning of the rituals these rituals can the ritual save us oh short answer no so then what is the purpose of the rituals let's go to monday's lesson um why why thank you um let me take that that that hand right now crystal simpson i see your hand go right ahead okay great all right so you know i don't know if it is that you touched on the obedience to go into monday's lesson we're going to be obedient on tuesday so we're going to do a bit with monday and then get to tuesday um even the rituals um i'm glad that the lesson spoke about rituals because one thing about rituals is that it helps you form some sort of a habit whether it be good or bad but generally whatever you do if you do it often enough it basically will be classified as a ritual and so the sabbath is i guess you could say a ritual because it's something that we should be um adhering to weekly and so something some rituals are excellent some not so excellent you know and then i think also rituals may lead us sometimes in our place of complacency because you think you do sometimes you start to do the thing of um habits and natural nature instead of a heart that actually wants to do the thing like we just come to church because well this is what we have done for the past 20 years and we will continue to do so even though your heart is not there your heart is under the manchester united game that is playing or it is at the here just out because you realize that what you hear really what to do or it is everywhere else bought arena your bed i think moto you're gonna sleep yeah so you can be doing these thank you very much for that you can be doing all these things um doing these rituals uh but we we're trying we're gonna do doing all these rituals but your heart is not there that's right um can that happen just you know because you're doing it year after year after year or day after day after day or week after week after week it's doing it okay this is just out of habit as opposed to out of heart yes but i wanted to say that there are some things that and it shouldn't be real ritualistic that we are doing it but it should be naturally that we are doing it imagine that every week every day the priests had to be killing goats and killing lambs and you had to be going and all this blood and everything else this was something that they did ritualistically every day every week they did it i mean if if you wanted to commend israel on something maybe that's what you could commend them on that they were so legalistic but then for us all of these things are gone and we we know we know that they're no longer necessary and what does jesus say we should do pray to him right love him and we find it so difficult jeffrey so difficult tell the niles to pray we find it so difficult to keep a little focus on jesus every day i know i don't pray so i'm saying we because we need to pray jesus said that about it men ought always to pray so the the things that we know we must do just like israel of all we find it difficult to do and that makes us lose focus having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof yeah uh i just got the the 10 minute uh mark saying we just have 10 minutes left wow and so i apologize to those um uh individuals who we won't get to i see two hands up right now give me one more there's a couple of things that i absolutely need to get to um talking about we talked about rituals um just now from monday's lesson uh which point us to these are examples which point us to the fact that well yes they the lambs were brought and killed and the blood was there but the blood of these lambs was not able to save us no just like uh israel going into uh the promised the promised land um on earth wasn't the real promised land which was amazing as we get into uh tuesday's lesson i'm gonna take uh sister clara sinclair and then i'm gonna ask uh crystal to hold her hand because i know i have something i need you to say in just a second so i'm gonna ask sinclair uh to make her a point okay just to say in the teacher's comments on this part about the rituals and the sacrificial system it says let's visit the sanctuary we watch a man with a lamb across the altar and placed his hand upon the lamb so it was a sinner who killed the lamb it was a sinner who who would take the the lamb or the sacrifice and who would kill it right makes the meaning clear then he lays hand on the head of the sin offering the laying of his hand upon the lamb implies confession and genuine confession is specific so say no that we must be specific about the the um praying and what we are asking forgiveness for and all of this is symbolic because it's pointing to christ but this morning i really when i went through this part of the lesson and i thought now that sin is awful sin is terrible the death the result of sin is death and brethren let me tell you when i thought about the fact that my sin every time i sinned i'm nailing jesus christ to the cross you know it it it really pains my heart and um since the white encourage us to to to contemplate upon the scenes of calvary we need to understand the wretchedness and terribleness of sin so that we understand what christ went through to to show his love for us and all of these rituals are based upon one thing they're based upon god's love for us and they point to one thing they point to that they point to jesus and the rest itself points to that time when we shall spend time with christ eternally absolutely thank you so much for that and that leads us to a comment here when i borrow from sister elaine wilson which says that our rituals without relationship makes no sense rituals without relationship makes no sense i'm going to ask sister crystal simpson to say to give us uh something we talked a bit as we're preparing for this lesson we talked a bit about uh obedience and love obedience and love and so i want to ask uh if sister simpson is here if you can say what you wait if you can give us that that line that phrase again um about that the the the difference if you're there go ahead and chime in let us know right so in discussing we were basically creating a relationship between obedience and love saying that well well while you i'll be born out of love obedience doesn't necessarily translate into love because you can do things out of obedience and you don't love the person but when you love christ it is your natural um step or move to be obedient to him otherwise when we speak about if it is not in the form of true love you're really speaking about abuse abuse of the love he has for you and not that you're returning any such love you know of your own you're just abusing him and abusing his grace and if you're so obedient without the love you're just doing something because you've been programmed to and as soon as you are not necessarily um as soon as somebody's not holding you too whatever it is you'll do the wrong thing if obedience isn't out of love you know just like how we may do the right thing but not because it is the right thing but we do the right thing because somebody's watching i think you yeah thank you uh uh devaro from i think specifically from what you said uh yesterday it was you can be obedient without love but you can't love without being obedient right this is a fantastic way to say you can be obedient not love somebody that's true but you can't love god and not be obedient and that goes i think from john 14 verse 15 which says if you love me keep my commandments keep my commandments there it is right there thank you sister come on i have a question for you though can you all right so for example i think one of the rituals many of us have is to get up and pray early morning many more days we don't necessarily want to get up and pray but we still do it how do you classify cases like that you know how do you deal with that you're doing something you don't necessarily exciting to get up in the morning you're fighting to do it you still read the the bible text and you still pray probably drop a sleep couple times in between how do you um make sense out of those things it's something you do out of habit but it's it's um i'll go to i think it's luke 9 verse 23 which says um if anyone desires jesus says if anyone desires to come after me uh he or she must take up his cross daily and follow me and so it's it's it's a daily struggle so don't think that it's like okay every day it's gonna be oh yeah i wanna pray today okay no no in this world you will have trouble uh and the devil is always pressing on us but as we say lord i you know what lord i don't feel like praying today i don't feel like taking that time by the way if you say that you're still praying but if you have a conversation with god and say lord i need you today i need your holy spirit's power then that's still obedience that's still but that that's that's that honesty um like like david um from the psalms that honesty to say lord i need you today because i just don't feel like some days like hey this is i'm good this i woke up on the right side of the bed but that obedience is even when we have that feeling that emotion and talked about in the lesson that our feelings our emotions really don't have much to do with the truth exactly i was going to talk questions and truth aren't necessarily correlating i don't feel like it okay what's happening with anything get it done that's a strong part normal i wanted to re-emphasize that because our feelings while our feelings and emotions are important to us we aren't governed by them and just because love a lot of times is doing stuff that you don't feel like doing you know it's you know you if you love your wife and your wife asks you to do something this is this is not i'm not commenting about something that happened in my relationship right now let's say that for example if your if your wife asks you to go and get something or your husband asks you please go and get something and you're saying boy i don't want to get out of the warm bed and go to the coating to get it but you know because of your love for your wife you get up and you do it same way now because you feel like doing it but because the love overrides the feelings that you have and it's the same thing if you i would say if you're getting up in the morning early morning to pray um which i need to do but if you're doing it and you don't feel like it it's it's okay to me it's okay to not feel like it what matters is that you overcome your feeling the love you have for doing what you want to do for christ overrides the feeling you have that makes you say you want to stay in the bed right and so the question the question is feeling a part of love well that's that's a different question a different point feelings come into love but love has override feelings because love is not about feeling loved over here and feeling both of us in stomach all the time that kind of thing love is always love is a choice it's a decision to put someone else above yourself sorry to cut you but just at the same point jesus did not feel like going to the cross no he did not yeah he absolutely did not want to that was the plan from the beginning um but that was not that was not his that was not a feeling um but he knew that in order for us uh to have eternity as an option he had to do that and that was that love that kept him obedient to his father's will and so i just got the message that we are at our time amazing we uh we we wow we um there are some things that i wanted to talk about which was uh uh i'll go i'll try to do this quickly which is talking about this uh this rest from hebrews chapter four if you have not already i would ask that you read that uh and it talks about this rest uh that that god provides um in hebrews four verse nine it says let us therefore labor to enter into that rest it's not it is not just that rest from from the sabbath day it is a rest that we can have only if we have that relationship with christ uh the the we get a glimpse of it we get a piece of it um a foretaste of it i think it's important to say what god's rest is what does it mean entering into god's wrist we i we really can't finish load without getting a little bit into that what does it know if my moderator could give us just two minutes uh to talk about that uh elder rose uh leader rhodes you just you asked that question is a wonderful question i want you to answer that question please no i would let you go first what does it mean to enter into god's risk um here from again from if you read they got to go back to hebrews 3 and then hebrews 4 but that rest we get a glimpse a foretaste of that rest on the sabbath we're able to put away and someone says that he or kyan and kawaii say is a rest from sin we get a glimpse of that on the sabbath where god says just put away just just just just come and and rest on the sabbath day it's not not a physical rest you can have you can have some physical rest that rest uh that god gives us a glimpse of is that rest where you say i don't have to deal with the troubles of the world amen but then that rest that god tells us is a greater one we get an example of this now or or or yeah an example of this now through our sabbath rest but that greater rest that we can enter into that it talks about in hebrews 4 is when we get into heaven when we say okay you know what i can now rest for eternity there will be no more sin i can have peace i can have joy i can i i have all these things and i i can rest i'm not sure if you've ever had that like like i'm not sure if you ever experienced a day of rest yes thank god the rest of the the whole rest like okay and i i wanted to add to that jeffrey latino and norman that in order to enter into that risk labor is important and enter into god's wrist that's right into god's rest we have to live by it not just gossip you're just going to god's rest you have to labor you have to be doing you have to be doing you have to be you know you have to be into things and then at the end of it not not because you labor not because you labor it is what makes you go into the rest but sufficient to say that your labor makes that risk oh so much more exquisite when you enter into it just like with the server if you're not working it doesn't make sense to go on vacation no that's right let us labor and enter into god's rest uh so many other points we wanted to make we are unfortunately out of time i want to thank our panelists i want to health focus we are in the midst of a pandemic as you can see and several strategies are being used to combat to fight the pandemic and to keep the world's population safe and healthy the most effective amongst these strategies are the kovi 19 vaccines the mrna one of the pelvic 19 vaccines example of which is an example which is a pfizer is being used to prepare the immune system to fight the sarso v2 virus or the corona virus thereby protecting people against the covet 19 and its long-term effects but without the immune system this would not be possible what is the immune system it is the body's defense it is made up of organs cells and proteins and they work harmoniously to get the job done the job of protecting our bodies they protect our bodies from small tiny microbes bacteria viruses fungi and toxins and after these little things are destroyed or defeated the immune system keeps a record of every germ that has been defeated why because if they ever turn up in the body in the system they will quickly recognize them and destroy them viruses can cause the viruses that cause infectious diseases have an associated antigen if you look on the screen you will see an object with projections these things sticking out of the surface of this virus they are known as antigens these are what activate the immune system to fight and neutralize the invader antigens are usually proteins the spike protein found on the coronavirus they are proteins now god has made us wonderfully and the body is constantly making proteins to maintain itself so scientists thought it a wise idea to capitalize on this function the function of the cells making proteins and use that function by by way of making programming the body cell to make the coronavirus spike proteins so cells make proteins and the scientists are going to find a way to program the cells to make the coronavirus by proteins what they did was to take one of the spikes they identify the protein in the spike and using their equipment and machinery they identify the code for the protein they went about and they synthesize the mrna the mrna is a code now this is done in the lab it is purely synthetic there is no human cell in it there is no virus in the mrna code purely synthetic after this is made they place it in this little round circle here it is called a dna molecule and then they move on to put it in a tiny fetch fat pouch called a nano lipid it is then integrated into a vaccine job of the mrna is to deliver into the human cells the recipe for making the coronavirus by protein or antigen and there is no virus as was said in this vaccine how are they going to work in the body the vaccines are given in the upper arm muscle then the mrna works its way into the cells the cells are now instructed by that code to make the viruses spike protein yes the mrna programs the cell to make the required spike protein or the antigen the antigen being made they are displayed on the surface of the cell you can see it here in this little picture the immune system remember it recognizes a foreigner by its antigen so when they see this antigen they've quickly immediately recognize it as foreign the immune system becomes activated against it and move on or proceed in making pillar t cells b cells and antibodies that will recognize the virus in the future and kill it on site mission accomplished the body has now been taught how to make a small harmless piece of virus that will trigger an immune response inside your body the mrna is very fragile and so its work is done within a few short hours and then it breaks down the end of the whole process is the body has now learned to destroy coronavirus the vaccinated person now gains protection without having to risk the serious consequences of getting ill with kovid the vaccinated person becomes a dead end for the corona virus it can no longer replicate or multiply in the vaccinated person and most importantly mutation cannot occur in a vaccinated we're praying asking you god right now for strength number one to be with us as christians that comes what me we will have the cross before us the world behind us i pray god for sickness that is right across the entire world many persons are sick god and and yes i know the physical sickness god the core of that i know the cancer and all those things that affects the human body but you tell you told us not to be so concerned about the body which can be destroyed by the woman to be concerned about the soul so i pray god for a spiritual healing a spiritual revival even in trench down even on youtube on zoom wherever we are god i pray for a spiritual revival in in your servants in your people and they will see a need to connect with you to draw closer to you to be ruled by you to be led by you i pray god for this fellowship keep us together keep the faith of somebody strong and exercise that faith most of how you feel lord of all the things i could ask you for the most important one god important that you know we decide on the method that we it's more suitable for us and then we proceed with said method right rejection rejection isn't easy but george king was the kind of man who put god first in everything even when it means being humble enough to accept rejection it would soon become clear that george was called to become a fireside preacher armed with saving literature he began nearly 30 years until his death in 1906 george king trained hundreds of book salesmen in north and south america and the west indies king's methods influenced pioneering leaders in literature ministry around the globe including william arnold in australia abraham larue in hong kong albert stafford in brazil herbert myers in burma and robert caldwell in philippines by 1886 when the church's ministerial workforce was still counted in dozens 400 adventist club porters around the world sold books and penny trucks door to door george king put god first even when he was rejected as a preacher his courage and humility inspires us today jesus gave up everything to redeem us and his love compels us to put his kingdom first in our own lives heavenly father we worship you this morning with our today is god's holy and blessed sabbath day and so as you join in worshiping with me i am happy to be with god's people on his holy day in spite of i'll be sharing the screen with you at this moment and i must commend the leadership of this church and sister coral clark elder and her team in particular for the month of september and the great thing that they have chosen the revelation of jesus christ and the mind that has wisdom the mind is a powerful instrument which can be used for good or for evil today my brothers and my sisters i crave your indulgence that as we tune in to worship at this time that you'll tune out your mind from everything secular and attuned to heaven to god who have given you a mind so that as he reveals his truth to you which undoubtedly you have heard before but maybe just maybe you had not grasped before god's truth is revelation and even if you have grasped it we can never have enough truth i want to bow your head with me as we invite the holy spirit in our midst and i pray that our children are beside us they're not running up and down and playing or are on another device or doing something else it is worship time and the family that worships together and prays together stays together parents and all of us now dear god as we pray take our hearts and our minds far away we come before you great father the one who loves us so much the one who walks among the candlesticks the one who has died on calvary's cross to show us your love we invite you now into our worship we ask you lord to teach us your wisdom touch your minds touch your hearts touch us and use us today for your cause and revive us we pray in jesus name the puppet is there as you can see the mind of jesus christ the revelation of the part of jesus christ and the mind which of same revelation revelation chapter 17 and verse 9 as a part a part of god's message that reminds us what is real wisdom and it reads like this oh lord and here is a mindset of wisdom the seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman seated also revelation 13 8 speaks again about wisdom here is wisdom let him that understand it count the number of the beast for it is the number of a man and his number is six hundred six three and six revelation 13 18. for your information those who are thinking that pastor will be preaching on the number 666 i won't directly be preaching on that but you see it is the same god who gave us gave to john who passed it on to us as i told in my first sermon that god the god of order god made his revelation to jesus christ to the i'm pass it on to the angel in that order and the angel passed on to the prophet and the prophet pass it on to us in that order you see friends i want you to be very clear in your minds today that god who is a font of wisdom of knowledge he has something here for you today which you cannot afford to miss satan wants to take it away from you he wants to distract you you may be thinking about something now how you can manage and cover who how you're going to get back to work those of us will buy and sell and everything crash or you're going to manage unfortunately some of you may even have relatives who have died in moving or otherwise like already system monique condolences to you the brother realm was passed satan will plays everything conceivable children of wife problem husband problem gunshot death all that on your mind now to distract you from the blessing that he has for you but god says remember the sabbath day to keep it holy rest today in his word you may have to struggle and fight to keep focused on him and on his word today because he has wisdom that he wants to impart to you today and so friends i am here this morning to tell you that god in his wisdom had worked on john the revelator john the divine john the youngest disciple of jesus to give us a revelation from his mind to our mind this morning i want you to pay keen attention the first scripture lesson says i was in the spirit and i wanted to notice when john was on this in the spirit we're going to come back to them on the lord's day which there is a lord's day the sum up and i heard behind me a great voice as a trumpet have mercy saying i am alpha and omega the first and the last what the siest write in a book and send it on to the seven churches which are in asia under ephesus smyrna pergamos tayatara sardis philadelphia and the odysseya and i turned to see the voice that spake with me and been turned i saw seven golden candlesticks and you may be wondering what is the meaning of it i like my bible because it bible interprets itself we soon see what that is and continues and in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like the son of man clothed the garment down to the foot and girt above the tops with a golden girdle and he had in his right hand praise god victory and triumph seven stars what do they represent and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword that his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength and when i saw him mercy i fell at his feet as dead and he laid his right hand upon me praise god saying unto me fear not john i am the first and the last i am he that liveth and was dead and behold i am alive forevermore amen and of the keys praise god of hell and death for those of us who are mourning over our loved ones who have passed rest assured jesus is the key man write these things verse 19 which thou must see and the things which are the things which shall be hereafter the past and the present and the future around the mystery listen to the interpretation of the seven stars what do they mean the seven stars in their right and are what and the seven golden kangas sticks the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches and the seven candlesticks which those sources are what the seven churches oh my brothers and my sisters i am here to tell you today on the authority of god's word as you read it for yourselves you will discover in the word of god that in holy writ in chapter 1 revelation revelation chapter 1 reading down from verse 11 you will discover some sevens as you proceed revelation chapter one and i turn to it quickly here they are seven important things not seven more than seven groups of seven i should have said very very important you need to observe them very very important yes the seven candlesticks yes in fact i am speaking today about one of the seven churches the last of the seven churches but there are a few things i'd like to apprise you off you may know some of this but i'm reminding you nevertheless that there are some sevens or there are series of sevens in the book of revelation the first set of seven has to do with the seven churches then we move on to the seven spirits then the seven candlesticks the seven stars the seven seals the seven horns the seven eyes of the lamb the seven angels the seven trumpets the seven thunders the a dragon with seven heads and seven crowns a beast with seven heads seven angels having seven fires containing the seven last plagues and of course the beast with the seven heads and also the seven mountains and seven kings yes so there are many sevens in the book of revelation that each of us need to know about but i'm not talking about that today what i will be talking about i told you i'm sticking to the only set of seven which is not apocalyptic a big word but all it leaves is symbolic just like the dragon and the eagle and beer and the lion and the animals apocalyptic that's what they are in symbolic form i will be speaking to you today on the seven churches and i i i wish to thank leader kedron on wednesday evening for going through the seven churches so i won't have to spend much time on the seven churches except to give you a brief background of the historical setting of the time you see friends during john's time during the era of the early christian church you i will show you a chart shortly that shows if it runs from approximately 80 30 to 100. c is a nero yes the first one on your left you may have heard and you have seen on shows during easter that it was a tyrant he persecuted thousands of jews killed them had them thrown to lions wild animals you name it it is said that on a certain roman historian said that when you're going to caesar's palace on chariot when his friends are going to have a good time with him and to live it up and drink and live in debauchery on the way to his palace for several years going to where he was living they are lanterns human lanterns do you know what i'm saying there were human beings who were tied posts so that his guests could see the way going up to his palace and the historian said he could also smell the flesh and of course those are replenished from time to time as they burn out so just understand how tyrannical these leaders were caesar nero then there's another one caesar nero was ruling approximately 54 to 68 a.d then after him was vespasian another tyrant who also persecuted the church of god now after vespasian there was another moon who came on the scene by the name of emperor or caesar domitian caesar de media he was also a terrible emperor and like the others he demanded empower worship you have to go to the shrines of the emperor and you have to worship them you have to you have to call them god and if you don't do that god of mercy on you and that was what beset the early christian church they were persecuted literally killed exiled cut into burn to this thing all types of wickedness was done to them because the bible tells us the first commandment that we should worship god alone and they demanded it sean the revelator coming down to things now john the revelator was no exception to this he decided praise god to stand firm and true to the faith as an apostle as a leader of the church and domitian exiled him to this island his old age patmos in his old age the church members i have no doubt they were sad why history tells us that john was only remaining apostle if you know what that means all the other apostles who used to be up and down the other level witnessing jesus's miracles had a firsthand knowledge of who god was and who were spiritual leaders all of them had died officers most of them if not all there's all of them except john all of them were martyred and even the many of the elders all the elders and leaders of the church were by now dead during the era who were around during jesus time and john an old man was taken to the mines over there in patmos to work he was sentenced there by this emperor this terrible emperor the media in about 98. 96 to 98 a.d brothers and my sisters the rest is history amen the rest i say is history because out of this exile that was commanded and was executed by satan are you listen to me satan works through many of these leaders because he knows that he has but a short time and i can hear the brethren crying out to god what mercy to deliver john [Music] brethren i want to encourage you that as covet 19 ravishes jamaica and the rest of the world keep on coming to the morning fasting and prayers keep on coming and interceding to jesus know god tells us in the word of god that all things work together for good romans 8 30 god knows why he has caused kobe because maybe some of us would not be so fervent in praying and asking god to have mercy and in turning around to jesus surrendering your lives friends it was no exception for the church the early christian church in john's day because john was exiled and god had allowed say that i understand god is large and in charge just like the story of job god allowed job conflicts satan and to take away his children to take away all his possession except his life to torment him even unto death but god was working through the circumstances god is working through the commune god is working through the circumstances of coming on your lives even though it is hard trust in god he has a purpose for you don't give up in fact come to church even more even though there is no church physically to attend be closer to jesus spend more time in his words friends today i wish to continue to tell you that god had a load john the revelation of the seven churches there they are the seven churches of asia minor yes starting with ephesus then smyrna in fact let me get the other map which is a i hope it's clear you have ephesus then smirn then you're turning the corner right you move from left to right and as in a straight line pergamos if the letter man was delivering his letter to the churches that's the direction in which he would move that's the direction i have undoubtedly that paul and big upon john would have visited the churches on the roman roads walking for hundreds of miles visiting the saints visiting the churches including paul preaching to the brethren in asia minor so there they are and i want you to notice that this persecution that the church endured was centered around worship worship and god gives us a mind to worship him and there will always be worship these days watch it coming i'm saying to people you see this covered thing i am no prophet but i believe that everybody having to get id and all of these things are templates forming the foundation for what is coming are you listening to me take sleep and mark then very soon they may make the vaccination compulsory many countries in many countries it is compulsory by the way talking about the vaccine i got my shot i'm not telling you whether or not you should but think about it get all the information that you can edit inform yourself pray about it but you notice what is happening places you cannot enter unless you have your mask and the the anti take time going up because you soon can't enter unless as a mind of wisdom is speaking to you today god has given his message to john to send it to the seven churches and i wish to say to you today my brothers i thank god that god alone is god because the word of god tells us in the book of john that the one who has given the message he knows his people inside of amen you can't hide from jesus and he has given a just account of who each member is here it is 1831 the approximate time period 31 to 100 the meaning of the name of ephesus is desirable i won't go through all of them but i just mentioned that there are compliments ephesus had the nicolasians there were the gnostics who tried to say there's a difference between soul and body so you can do anything that you want as and your soul is right with god that was what the church had a lot of problems against written good works that's a compliment not deny the faith good works etc few are not defiled i'm moving on moving on but i just need to say this to you now that the chart shows that there is a church that did not get any compliment and you know which one that is the word of god tells us in verse 14 of chapter three and unto the angel of the church of the lord distance right these things say they are men the faithful do faithful and the true witness i said it a while ago and i say it again jesus is a witness who do until life by you he is the all-seeing god are you listening to me he sees and he knows everything done in secret whether it be good or whether it be bad and he's saying to us today yes seventh-day adventists believe that holistically not holistically to a large degree this lodician church and by the way i need to let you know that these descriptions are not only for these specific time periods they are general descriptions for all times of the christian church but john he had these experiences as a good pastor of his church during these periods so he gave these messages to the churches so they could pull up their socks they could say ah you know so bad we keep all the nicolasians with those have encouraged doctrines when we're rich in good works we were poor in temporal things but praise be to god we care for the brethren we were good witnesses the the perga the ones from programmers we said praise god we have faith and patience and and and the one from scientists will feel good because they will say satan did not come in the church and church without a single compliment i remember when our children were small and we used to have our monthly family meetings and we always start off by complimenting our children compliment them before we get to you know how to deal with certain challenges and get over it sibling rivalry etc etc assignments host work etc can you imagine what would have happened if we did not compliment any of our three children they would feel bad hey you will notice that the other six churches are complemented except lodism is the true witness speaking the truth is god is walking up and down jesus god in the form of jesus walking among the churches all over the trenches ugly is he speaking the truth as he examines your life under the microscope as he knows your thoughts and your intent is he speaking the truth about you today and listen to what he has to say we're going to look at it and until the end of the church of the lord the sins right these things say they are men the faithful and true witness the beginning of creation i know that it words that they were neither cold nor hot i've never said oh i preached a sermon before to you on luke warm water what did irish potato any form of starch if your food get caught up in lukewarm water it never cook i don't know much about the others but i can tell about yum especially banana because potato was a bar in a parish and if the just are never out experienced lukewarmness that is the stage that the word of god the true witness says that god's church the last day church as you can see look at it again the last day church where am i going that big apartment here it is ad 40 and going on that is the state that god's church is in lukewarm and because we don't have any use for god because if we were cold he could send an abundance affiliate to us to baptize us so at least we stand a chance or if we're hot we can go and do like what philip and other evangelists are doing witnessing to others but we needed that yasser that is and white said we are stumbling blocks in the church not me sister not me so this is the general condition of god's church today because of says listen to this now you have a good bounty congress you have assets you have a good education you have a good life living in cherry guards things going good for you what do i need i don't need anything am i right but the word of god gives counsel i constantly don't buy off this world's goods nothing is wrong or amassing some money in a way but make your kingdom on high school not up wealth on this world alone also store up in heaven where moth no rust does corrupt that's what the word of god says or else you will end up like the lukewarm drunk banana and god is saying i constantly i beg you i give you wisdom by my gold that is proven in the fire so that you may be rich did you get that some mere money in the bank is not riches by the way you soon have it and i'm not used to you white raiment that don't miss the clue so that your spiritual nakedness because we are spiritually naked and annoying to our eyes with eyesight amen the holy spirit will allow us to see open your minds that's why i say to you today my brothers and sisters children of god pray that the holy spirit will open their minds so that we can see that we are naked miser blind have nothing except shame and like verse 19 jesus did not like leave us there the one who is walking among the candlesticks the one who through the holy spirit who trenched out he's speaking to you on channel 17 on youtube he's speaking to you wherever you are he is saying i love you i love you lord yeah that's why i rebuke and chase them i do it in love so be sensible have the mind of jesus give me lord the mind of jesus repent god can't force it to repent he that's the only thing he can't do and he won't do it because worship must be free free so you say brethren we are in serious problems you're talking about profit coffee is a blessing it's not problem yet we don't have any problem yet our problem is that we're spiritually lost i don't know you know when i was at school i there was a little poem i looking nursery rhyme that goes like this he who is a he who is a fool and does know that he's a fool you must shun him that is the state of lodesia we are lost and don't even know that we are lost lost somebody says he who knows not and knows not that he knows not is hopeless we don't even know that we are lost we believe that by paying our tithes and by participating in church and and and by doing going to all the wrongs that we can appease god we are holy and we are righteous today god is saying to you my brothers and my sisters verse 20 of chapter 3 behold praise god i stand at the door yes i stand at the door and i'm knocking the holy spirit is at your door he's interceding he's knocking you know god does not force anybody he forces nobody's will he wants you who has the knob who has the key who has the power to open the door and invite him in so he can come and support you and you with him what do you say church to him that overcometh yes to the one who overcomes the lukewarmness of lodisma i will grant him a place on my throne even as i also overcame and i'm set down with my father in his room brothers and sisters the things of this world are crumbling the only thing that will last forever is god and his kingdom and that's why he's knocking at your heart's door today won't you let him in the savior is waiting to enter your heart won't you let him in last verse tells us lodesia as we are described as the remnant church yes this message is not for who we call heathen and non-christian it's for seventh-day adventists the remnant church of gods who are professing to be god's commandment keeping people i told you a while ago brothers and sisters protect sleep mark death what will happen when a law is passed and it's coming and i see sign i used to report on my six to three years are licked list reading from maybe about four or fives always hearing the parents talk about it that there's a time coming when you can't by ourselves you see the card and going on fast everything is start when you go every thursday we try to go and do says that where prior is want to be made that is where god's people must be and and i like in the morning it's a sacrifice you have to you have to make a commitment to god by sacrifice like jesus mark one sacrifices rising up a great while before day he went and spoke with his father to get the energy to get the lights to get the connection to keep him for the day what will you have to keep you to keep many loads here if i don't from now create allow god to give me his mind give me lord the mind of jesus god with us ah or see was wisdom and he knows what is coming he knows the different mark of the beast he knows what where we're heading some people's talk about the corporatist mark of the beast the king saw is soon final that is the mark of the beast coming not far from now they my brothers and sisters as human beings our faith forgets yes we may remember the days when things were higher that trench down and we were faithful to god faithful coming to church faithful paying on liquor but now we are increasing goods we have a good education we're driving a good car we're studying we have our first rear second degree and god jumped to the window from us are we jumping with the left guard they my brothers and sisters by the mercies of god i plead with you he that hath an ear to hear let him hear what the spirit is saying to you today oh and thomas you are lukewarm oh and thomas i would have preferred that you'll be cold or hot but because you are lukewarm if you continue in that state god has no choice than to see was just a stumbling block and he has to refuse [Music] and when the day comes you will be the first to persecute others and say siemens i'm a christian see the one there members of the seven elephants read the testimonies i believe also my friends today that their faithful brothers and sisters listening to this message about that mind of wisdom as the revelation is made to his church his church we love god loves this church he's walking up and down he's
