i didn't have high hopes for it but it is so good the thing that surprised me i never think i'm going to rank the dumpling above the xiaolong house hi everyone in today's video we are doing trying every dumpling at dinner fun as you can see mom is really excited because we are huge fans of dentaifong we grew up going there well i grew up going there because mom would bring me there yeah and we mostly would go to the socal location but i've also been to the original taiwan location many times as well as other locations around the world around the country so we thought it would be fun to try every single dumpling on their menu and rank it i'm just thinking about how my wallet is gonna be crying after this video because dentaifong is not cheap also i was thinking we could try the other parts of the menu in a part two if you guys want to see that like a dentai phong menu part two like try their noodles their wontons their veggies pork chop fried rice you know all that stuff so if we get this video to eight thousand eight thousand likes mom believes in you guys okay she thinks yeah she believes you can get this video to 8 000 likes with that being said let's head into dentaifon and eat a lot of dumplings yes [Music] the lighting is so wonky i know right okay so we just ordered all of the dumplings that they have they were out of two of the xiaomai so we're not gonna be able to try that today unfortunately and i've never actually tried that so i was actually looking forward to it mostly because mom would not order it for me when i was a kid always mom so first up we have the classic pork shalom bao this is the signature item that zentai fong is known for whenever you come to gen tai pong you can see them making it at the window and always many foes yeah always 18 folds they're so small but you can tell that the skin is so thin you can see the juice in there for my sauce i like to put vinegar and the chili oil in it okay so usually we dip it in the sauce and then gonna bite a hole in the top and slurp the juice poke more sauce and then eat it all in one bite wow so good zentai fung ciao is always the perfect temperature it's not going to burn your mouth you know what though it is true what they say that the san jose dentai phone is not as good as some of the other locations i think it has less soup the best one is the original one in taiwan and the socal ones are better than this i think so too so for now we will put this one as number one in the ranking but we have much more to try next up we have the truffle and pork shallow mouth five pieces for like almost 30 bucks oh i didn't know that this one they advised to drink some water first cheers so that's supposed to cleanse the palate and then they say don't eat this one with sauce because the truffle flavor is really strong so for this video we're actually just gonna not each other about the proper way by like biting and slurping the soup we're just gonna pop it in cheese so chocolatey it actually works so well you get this like mushroomy flavor mixed up your palette i actually had these for the first time in taiwan it was like six years ago wow at the time i did not remember it being this good i think my palette has changed since then because i actually like it now would you rank it above the normal mouth yes i would also rank it above so i think we're gonna put the truffle one in first place above the original shallow bowl but you also have to know that like the normal shampoo you can eat a lot of that this one you only get five pieces it's 30 bucks all right next up is the crab and pork shalom bao you can see how thin the skin is you can see it's like translucent to the soup inside as a kid i never liked the crab and porcelain about i always liked the original the best but i feel like as i grew older i started to appreciate the uh yes having something a little more different cheers well the crab there is a lot of seafood flavor in there you really taste the crab you even get some like shreds of the crab meat and it complements the pork flavor really well very juicy too absolutely great i will still rank the truffle as number one this is number two for me for my ranking i'm gonna put the original above this crab and pork shell as well next up we have the chicken dumpling this is not soup dumplings this is just like normal steamed dumplings you can see how perfect the little folds are i know that takes skill this looks like more than 18 volts okay i'm not gonna count wow so much soup i was not expecting that so juicy even though it's not stumbling and then it has this really nice savory flavor from the chicken very savory umami kind of taste these are actually ones that we never tried here those are way better than i thought they were gonna be so for my ranking i put the chicken one in between the original and the crab and pork i agree just maybe the original slightly have a little etch over the chicken yeah they're all very good though so it's really hard to ring them all right next up oh it's hot okay all right next up we have these vegetarian dumplings they're so pretty they're green and they have those perfect folds just like the chicken one that we just had we always go for the meat options so we'll see if this is good i wonder if it has any soup oh that'd be interesting i know right cheers so there's no soup but there's actually a lot of stuff in there a lot of different vegetables so you get a little crunch and then there's also noodles in there like the vermicelli oh and what are your mushrooms there's even tofu though yeah a lot of different textures i love it and i also have to make note that the skin on all the dumplings is very good it's thin it's sturdy it's chewy so in terms of the ranking i still think i would have to put it last though it's very good but still not as good as the other ones i have to totally agree with meimei on this one the texture is super good but i'm a soup lady and a meat lady yes she used to go to sweet tomatoes and drink at least 10 bowls of soup and also put soup on her salad you didn't expect me to expose you like that did you i know i'm exposed next up we have fish dumplings wow and i actually discovered my love for fish dumplings at this restaurant in sf ever since i had those i've been in love with fish dumplings cheers wow so juicy not some soup in this and the fish is so soft very nice savory seafood taste it has such a nice fresh fish flavor in there it's mostly just fish and it looks like there's a little bit of maybe green onions or chive or something mom who eats it something like that just buy straight up the middle for the ranking i think i would put this one just under the chicken one yes okay slightly below the chicken next up we have the kimchi and pork dumpling i didn't even know they sell these here and these are a little bit like has an orangey tint to it from the kimchi i guess the steam has this big kimchi taste and smell cheers wow i really like it you can get so much kimchi flavor dripping with juice also it's super unique the kimchi adds like a nice acidity to it you get the savoriness of the pork goes perfectly with the thin chewy skin it's a little bit spicy i mean tiny bit if you love kimchi you have to try this so good so i think for the raking i would put this one above the chicken for me this one even go above crap the crab and pork shallombao so this is second place for you wow next up we have the shrimp and pork dumpling these look pretty much just like the chicken ones actually i can tell it's very juicy too wow that is so good you get such a huge chunk of shrimp in there and it's nice and crunchy and juicy and that savory pork flavor is just amazing the addition of the crunchy shrimp with the juicy pork is just so good you're gonna be very surprised when i rank this one this is how you know it's good we are ready each eight three even though we've already eaten probably at least 20 dumplings each i'm gonna move this above the kimchi i think for the ranking i'm gonna put it above kimchi as well but honestly the difference between the rankings is such a fine line they're all like just right like this you know next up we have the pork and vegetable dumplings you can see the green tint yeah because the skin is so thin you can see the green vegetables i actually expect it to be a little juicy yeah this one is the first one where my first reaction wasn't like oh it's not as juicy as you would think a little bit unexpectedly dry i would prefer the vegetable over there because the vegetable one has a lot of texture yeah so maybe last place yeah less place on this one so for the last of the savory dumplings we have the pork pot stickers i always think it's funny how all the plastic is like one big block kind of looks like a piece of paper on top it's a dumpling skirt they make it this perfect rectangular shape and it's glistening look at that whoa look at that crunch whoa look at that i love the dumpling skirt cheers that crunch is so nice wow that texture is something else yet the normal dumpling has of course the thin chewy skin but then the extra layer of that very thin crunchy dumpling skirt on the bottom it adds a whole other dimension and the pot sticker itself is very juicy and the sauce that it comes with is actually really good i love how light and airy and crispy the dumpling skirt is it literally is a game changer and it's so fun to eat look it's a little activity breaking up the skirt you know my ranking is between the original xiaolongbao and the chicken dumpling to be fair though you usually don't like the fried dumplings she likes steamed better so that makes sense right yes for me yes i love potstickers it's different from the other ones in the sense that the other one's juicier which i really like but then this one has the extra layer of the dumpling skirt that makes it really hard to compare to the other ones right like epos in orange yeah i think i would put it just under the original honestly even last place was very good so even last place is better than some place first place true true okay so our dessert shalom balls are here so first up we have the chocolate mochi xiaolongbao which i've actually never tried this one before but i've heard so many good things about it i'm excited this one only comes in order of five so i guess i know just special like that truffle one cheers oh yeah why haven't you a shot of the chocolate just shot into my throat oh no are you okay was it good still oh my god that was so good i didn't have high hopes for it but it's so good gooey lava-y very rich chocolate kind of actually like a lava cake on the inside but with mochi and xiaolongbao skin yes the mochi is so chewy and it balances out the richness of the chocolate actually really well oh my gosh this is so good we usually go with the taro or the sesame so that's why we never tried the chocolate we have to order this more that is insanely good mom doesn't even love chocolate that much and she loves it yes oh my gosh do you think we should just try them all and then rinse it up again next up we have the taro xiaolongbao this is one that we get all the time the taro is so smooth literally not even a small chunk in there just like pure smooth taro goodness taro flavor is obviously super strong because it's just pure taro so good delicious next up we have the red bead and these are so like round actually they look little nubs wow again it's so smooth not even a single chunk or bean wow that's very strong wrapping flavor yes i think the xiaolongbao skin actually complements it really well kind of like balances out the sweetness it's really nice last but not least the sesame shalom bao this one is well loved by our family yes yes we always order it cheers [Applause] explosion of flavor such strong black sesame flavor it's just like grinded up you know into a paste basically i think their dessert xiaolongbao are also great because the insides of the xiaolongbao is so freshly made it has such strong flavor here are our final rankings for both the savory dumplings and the dessert dumplings honestly everything was really good so we're gonna pack up all these dumplings bring them home eat them for the rest of the week and we'll meet you guys in the car oh my gosh i'm
