hi everyone today we are letting my mom decide what I eat for 24 hours as you guys know Mom and I have very different tastes I mean remember what she did when I let her decide my boba drinks for 24 hours why are you making fizzy this should be so good safe to say I'm pretty nervous but at least I know what to expect and I know I'm gonna be eating good for the rest of the week thanks to cook the best dim sum at a very reasonable price you know mom is all about reasonable price when we got the menu I just let Mom Mark whatever she wanted so why don't you tell us what you ordered I ordered the century egg and pork joke the country that's my favorite thing for breakfast mom loves joke like I remember one time I think I asked you if you could eat one thing for the rest of your life you said joke yes which I cannot relate to because I'm not the biggest joke fan cheers very good it's okay satisfy my joke Brave then we ordered the sumai ah this I like this is one of my favorite dim sum items she prefers the shumai to the yeah I would take this any day it has pork mushroom and shrimp looks like really nice and juicy and it's big cheers very good choice tastes as good as it looks right it does the joke I was iffy about this one I definitely approved this is EXO sauce pan fried turnip cake so good if you guys go to dim sum and have never tried this you need to get it next time it's basically like turnip cakes usually they're pan fried it's just like in a rectangle but this one they cut it into little cubes and then they fry it up with like seasoning and EXO sauce [Music] so delish nice light crisp on the outside it has a jalapeno because a turnip cake is very soft inside the contrast in texture is just incredible I also got the spare rib Pike what ever since I was little I go to the dim sum restaurant with my parents and we always ordered this and it's kind of implanted in my head that every time I go to dim sum I have to order this and I do love it yeah whenever you guys order this I don't touch it but you will touch it today very well this one looks extra garlicky I have a lot of bits of garlic on it maybe you'll like it maybe cheers actually that extra garlic helps it a lot yeah it's good huh very flavorful possibly surprised at this and then this one is the baked egg yolk band the lava buns and this one is the purple yam buns these does extra good here too whoa look at the lava oh my gosh oh my gosh I don't know creamy eggy and you get the little saltiness but very sweet and then the bun is nice and fluffy sometimes at another restaurant the yolk will solidified but there's never always very runny and lava-y now for the Ube bun whoa cheers fun is super fluffy the paste inside is very nice and the crackling on top adds a nice little texture and the Yen has very good flavor yeah this one is really nice because it's really not too sweet this is a super underrated dim sum place you picked a good breakfast place mom toasted very good foreign so we were gonna try it but it's close on Tuesdays looks like we have to go to our usual place yeah we'll try this one another time [Music] guava and black accessory yeah Mom sampled like half of the flavors oh look at that stretch wow wow such strong great flavor yeah this is the spot it's been around for years cheers it's so concentrated but it doesn't taste artificial at all yeah not artificial at all like it's a Super Fresh that has to be one of my favorite ones for sure and the last one black sesame wow it tastes exactly like timawu ice cream form I want to get chimau later okay okay we'll find a place that we can get some so we're just so underrated we're getting all the underrated spots today they also have a location in SF we're at the San Jose one but they have one in sf2 so good good choice Mom [Music] my favorite dish basically is a rice paper roll it's stuffed with ground pork well it can come with different fillings we just like the pork one and it has all these toppings on top like the Vietnamese ham and the tempura and there's some bean sprouts of course I'm gonna use the fish sauce and then I will get this rice roll good huh I was introduced to bangkun by my Vietnamese roommate so then ever since then I love it actually my roommate knows how to make it so she made it for me and I just fell in love with it ah I see I also got the same thing that Mom got this is the number 12. it has the ground pork on the inside so it's very similar to like turn fun the rice rolls that you get a dim sum it's basically like a Vietnamese version of it so that's why we really like it [Music] foreign [Music] [Applause] [Laughter] [Applause] I know messed up no we discovered this place when we did the trying every souffle pancake in the Bay Area video and this one is our favorite yes why are you so dumb you know what dog means I don't want to hear the word tone because I'm putting a spoon in my mouth it's so TV so very fluffy Mouse in my mouth it's called The Salted cheese one so it kind of has like a cheese foamy sauce on top with the Boba and it's actually very salty very salty but the Boba has the little chew and then of course the souffle pancake's so fluffy another good choice Mom foreign [Music] specifically request this place but she specifically requested good uni uni is Mom's absolute favorite thing ever so we're gonna Feast on some uni hopefully not hurt my wallet too bad because uni is really really expensive oh thank you my man so in addition to UNI we also are ordering their Omakase they just brought this special Toro Maki look at that I've never seen a monkey roll that looks like this I know it's very unique yeah that is unlike any monkey roll I've ever had there's green stuff on the outside it is some sort of herb I feel like I know what that herb is but it's not coming to my mind right now but it pairs really well with the power monkey I really want to start on the Omakase I'm so excited I guess I'll let you choose whichever pieces you want since it's your day cheers that's really good mine it tastes so fresh and it has like this little bit of smokiness almost like a torching type of flavor the shrimp is very crunchy very fresh and they put some kind of citrus pairing with it there she is the stand up is very sweet they have a little bit of a little flick oh flavor on there but I think it's very unique my face was just okay like it was still good but the first piece was better omicasa comes with eight pieces so this is the second plate I think you should have the uni because that's your favorite thank you Mimi okay and then you have the next one towels Tower or something mom Taro is what you put in your Boba drink poro I think you should have said Toro yes cheers hey that tomorrow is nice and fatty and it was such a thick piece the uni is so sweet and fresh they said it's Japan Hokkaido uni oh wow as the uni expert what do you think I would say nine out of ten nine out of ten wow I know you like onion so you can help thank you Mom look at this piece it's ocean trout with all those sliced onions and this is unagi cheers I've never had those sliced onions on top like that but I like it I love onions so I have this ocean trout taste it's very similar to Salmon ah unagi is very good okay this is the main event the star of the show the uni this is my favorite I dream about this every day so we got three orders that we need two pieces each six pieces in total and each order is twenty four dollars not cheap trying to make me feel guilty cheers good flavor I think that's going to be added to your mom's sayings why are you making faces they should be so good and this and give to a bird and delish it's literally So Fresh So Sweet so creamy melts in your mouth has this kind of like custardy mouth feel to it you know like it feels luxurious the only just Glides down that's another thing that you always say everything just Glides down just so good yeah Mimi the day is not over you still have dessert [Music] okay so we made it to dessert of Mom's choosing I want to have Chima the Sesame taste yeah this is right and what does it mean it's the paste pudding there's black sesame taste pudding and this is Walnut paste I have the Sesame one many times but never the one that went before I left those this one even has some tongue on top the glutinous rice balls Tong Yun has different fillings sometimes it's even just plain there's no filling as well but my favorite Tong Yoon filling is Sesame me too that's the best one cheers is so soft it has a nice chew to it and the Sesame paste is oozing out not very sweet but has a very nice flavor very strong black sesame flavor I guess especially some we already have the Sesame soup on top of that it just made it magnified yes wow very strong mexican it's just like pure black sesame paste everything it's very thick and almost kind of creamy too it is very creamy yeah like thick and creamy and you got the black sesame flavor which is really strong but it's also not too sweet you know a lot of times when you order black sesame stuff there's graininess to it that's just kind of part of making stuff that has black sesame in it but this is no grainy oh wow very strong water flavor yeah it's very walnutty it's nuts it really really reminds me of fresh looking morning yeah it really does taste like that I love it we also got a coconut milk tofu pudding which is tofu far I actually usually don't eat tofufa that much because a lot of these come with a ginger syrup which is not my favorite cheers whoa it's very light and refreshing wow wow it's really nice coconut flavor actually very strong the tofu is so silky like melts in your mouth when you were scooping this and I didn't know it would taste so smooth you know what I'm gonna say and also yeah very like lightly sweet just sweet enough for it to be a dessert yum delish okay we are so full mom had us eating all day and it actually turned out to be not
