THIS IS WHAT IM TALKING ABOOT
Lost it. Couldn't take it seriously after that. Sorry Canadians, but 'aboot' will never not make me giggle.
That's got to be the nicest Barracks inspection in any Basic Training... there's a lack of items outside of lockers and bunks flipped.
Where's the Tim's Hortons as their DFAC?
I'm a busy man; can somebody point me to wherever they discuss moose-riding training and how to get maple syrup out of a tree for emergency meals if you're in a SERE-type situation?
It always makes me laugh when I read Canadian Keyboard Commando comments on FB about "Canadien SOF so much stronger than US SOF, doncha knohhw! We would mess the US up in a straight fight. Ya. Your Rangers and SEALs don't know much aboot how much we contributed in Afghanistan! durp durp durp." So much false pride for a military that couldn't beat back 10th Mountain Division. The Canadians are decent guys, don't get me wrong, but my point is about how truly naive some Canadians are about their military's capabilities.
On one hand, I would love it if we taught Prii to lift in BCT or AIT. On the other hand, that had to be the least military shit I've ever seen.
Canadians: "We shave your head for hygiene and to prevent the enemy from using your long hair against you in battle"
Murica: "We shave your head because you're all privates and bald is hilarious"
Fuckers made me shave my head twice in less than two weeks before graduation. The final cut leaves a lasting impression...

What about my boots?
I find it interesting that it seems servicemembers from other branches (Navy, Air Force, etc.) are training Army recruits. And I watched like 15-20 min in and the stereotype of Canadians being rather polite is once again reinforced, with a polite knock and yell to each recruit's room.
