unique and certainly the most unusual artist in the history of the Ry genre standing at 6' 6 in tall he's the tallest rig artist that we've ever seen he's also the originator of the singj technique a hybrid bre of singing and dance hall toasting that's been adopted by the likes of s laundi and Mr Vegas he's by all means a rig Legend but on top of his musical Wizardry he's been in the news in recent times for a lot of wacky and wrong reasons and one of these is his Relentless 10-year Feud with the family of the late Bob Marley with special attention given to Ziggy Steven and Damian Marley with a couple of straight shots often aimed at ralei for good measure it's been a bitter stream of accusations I dare say slander and plenty of Bad Blood that's been expressed in countless interviews social media posts and even a few diss tracks released in recent times it's quite an unfortunate Affair as Ecom Mouse also came from trench town like Bob Mary and was not only very friendly with the tough gong while still an upcoming artist in the' 70s but was also really loved by the Mari boys when they were all still kids as he was a regular guest in their home years ago when I began to see the statements from Ecom house accusing the Mary boy of sabotaging his career threatening him and all sorts I unconsciously dismissed it as eam Mouse once again just displaying his legendary eccentricity and wackiness but over time I began to really give deeper thoughts to what was really behind all the noise and the actual root cause of all the beef to truly understand why eam Mouse is at war with the Marley family let's dive in into the story of eam Mouse's Feud with the Mali family and try to find out the roots of all the bad blood in 2014 he just returned to Jamaica after living in the US for about two decades since 2008 he'd been bouncing from one legal problem to the other and at one time he even had a million doll bounty on his head including almost 5 years of jail time before he was released in 2013 after separation from his partner and mother of his five children as well as losing all his assets in the process he moved back to Jamaica for a fresh start the next year he would mark his return with an announcement to the world that he had serious beef with the miam Mali dating back to 2005 this bad blood originated from his collaboration with Junior Gong on a track from a Smash Hit Grammy award-winning album Welcome to Jamrock and the song In Contention was khakis suit which featured Ecom Mouse and dance hall icon Bounty Killer according to Ecom Mouse he was paid what he called a pocket money sum of $4,000 for laying his vocals on the track with an understanding that he and Bounty Killer would get paid six figures if the single took off as it turned out the album Welcome to Jamrock became a runaway success that sold millions of copies all over the world and bagged two Grammy Awards in 2006 the album success led to ecomar pressuring Junior Gong to honor the agreement for a payment in six figures and when Junior Gong refused it led to a breakdown in their relationship and according to Ecom Mouse this Fallout with Bob Marley's youngest son put him on some sort of Hit List and cman collision course with Damian's Big Brothers in Ziggy and Steven Marley he claimed that while on a mini tour of Brazil zigi Mali flew into the country for a show of his own and reportedly warned an influential show promoter not to work with eam mouse stating that the mouse was banned from r on top of that he also claimed that Steven Marley had been calling him on the phone to stand a series of threats eam house didn't back down and made a series of statements in several interviews and even released a diss track about the matter in 2015 titled Mary boys ban me from reg if you ask me I personally think e M missed the mark by making a fuss about his track on Welcome to Jamrock the deal was for him and Bounty Killer to get a large payout if the single blew up and eventually that particular song just didn't as the hit songs on that album were the title track Welcome to Jamrock beautiful featuring us R&B star Bobby Brown and Ro to Zion featuring us rapper Nas the details of the face off between eom Mouse and Junior Gong are not known as Damian hasn't given his own account but if the room r s are anything to go by I wouldn't be too shocked if Ziggy and Steven Marley did get involved but that's just my humble opinion since Iam's initial Outburst he's come up with a lot of direct attacks on the Mali family accusing them of hijacking the Jamaican rig scene and canceling him alongside other Legends over the years the most shocking being an allegation that zimal called Dennis Brown a crackhead and refused to work with him or include him on his tours despite him being bal's favorite riggy singer and many people believe these as E's statements fed into the popular narrative that the Mali family had a stronghold on rigging music especially in the international market and if for being honest it's sort of believable especially with the dominance of reg Grammy Awards over the past four decades but while some of his claims are indeed thought provoking quite a number are truly outlandish such as the claim that R Mali and her children kicked Bonny wher out of tough gong record label that was founded by the original Whalers the truth is that the tough gong label was indeed founded by Bob Bonnie and Peter but after the group split up Bonnie went on to form his own label solomonic records and Peter founded his own label called Intel Diplo and up till today eom housee hasn't slowed down on his withering attacks on the Maly Clan and still insists that he's being blackballed and victimized by the family he even released a comedic track complaining about this titled is it because I'm not a Mary and he hasn't shied away from attacking anybody associated with the males and a recent Target of his is reg artist kabaka pyramid in a clip that surfaced on social media last year EAS dismissed kabaka's Grammy award for its album calling stating that he only won it because the mamali was the producer of that record let's not even go into the unprintable words that he's used to describe R Mali over the years interestingly not even one person on the Mali side has responded to eom Mouse's constant attacks and given their own side of the story so was very difficult to tell who is really in the wrong but I honestly believe that both parties are to blame in their own different ways it's eous eccentric wacky and given to Crazy outburst and statements most definitely so I can bet that his reactions to not getting paid six figures which legally he didn't deserve may have provoked the Mali family to put him in their crosshairs and try to cancel him in retaliation some opinions have it that when he started this Feud He had just come back to Jamaica in 2014 after having lost everything in the US and was trying to St up some controversy as a way of launching himself back into the Limelight While others believe that Ecom Mouse just needs to lay off some substances and alcohol but whatever the case he's by all means a rig Legend and it would be nice for that to be an end to all of this mess so that eccomas can once again be in the news for his incredible music and talent instead of an unnecessary embarrassing Feud
