[Music] [Music] hi so we're here today I'm going to give you a bit of a review of this Triumph Bonville t00 do some pros and cons and my overall impressions of the bike so this is just my thoughts on the bike rather than the specifications or what modifications are available to do to it because obviously this is how you'd get it from your dealer so if we start at the front I really liked the controls here the levers are both adjustable which is really good cuz I've got small hands but obviously not everybody has the clutch is very light which made it really enjoyable to ride uh obviously you just end up with a a bit of a hand ACH if you if you clutch is too much effort when you're going through traffic and things so I really liked that accelerator is nice and smooth and the bike's not at all snatchy which is makes it really comfortable to ride what do you mean snatchy it's it's quite tky but it doesn't try and run away with you I suppose also it just accelerates smoothly rather than somewhere very much on or off the dials and cockpit here are really nice and clear you've got the analog and digital display combined um you got an information button on on your left hand which can you change your trip and time and whatever else it wants to tell you miles Gall them I I did have a phone mount on the handlebars here which actually did obscure some of the dials which again not ideal but some I can move it around somewhere the mirrors are really nice nice comfortable place very clear in a really good position the headlights really good I like the nice little Triumph logo in there that's quite sweet with the tires I was very happy with the tires because they're mitell in Ro Classics and I actually run those on some of my bikes so I already had confidence in them especially with the weather that we've had and and the I was riding in Frost and rain and puddles and there's lots of bits and Bobs on the road so that was reassuring for me so onto the seat height and seat in general I found it very comfortable to ride it's a comfortable seat to sit on also comfortable reach the handlebars which is sometimes an issue for me with short arms the seat and the tank are really narrow which when you've got the seat height I think this is 790 if You' got a wide seat at the same time you're then having to straddle it which means you're losing some of your leg length um whereas this this is nice and narrow and with foot up on the pegs it's narrow along here which is just comfortable um that's where my arms get to Alex is also ridden it he's 6'1 and he'd also commented that it's really comfortable for him so I guess he just sits a bit further back and has longer arms so it's it's really good that it suits all sorts of different people um rather than having to put Rises on or tilt the bars or anything so it's a 900 cc engine a parallel twin with a 270° crank sounds really really nice uh nice deep noise um when you're when you're riding it with your twin exhaust it's got quite a lot of power to it without being really over the top so it's quite happy just pottering about but if you want the power it's there for overtakes or if you need to pull away to either either just because you want to or to get out of a a [Laughter] [Music] [Music] situation [Music] [Music] build quality is typical Triumph good attention to detail so the bike looks really nice it's very classic look very inoffensive but has lots of nice little parts to it in my mind that's also slightly a con because it looks a little bit generic and I'd probably want to start making it more my own which is nice but also when you go to buy a new bike you may just want the bike you want so I got to the cons there's not a great many of them my first one they noticed when I was riding the bike was the engine sticks out slightly more on this side on the left than on the right and when you've got your inep on the on the peg you left leg sticking out a bit more than the right leg which felt a bit unbalanced it's not too bad if you got the balls of your feet on the pegs um and I got used to it after a while anyway but it really did notice for to begin with but on the front the mud guard I found was a slight issue that it wasn't quite long enough or it wasn't quite wide enough you can see the amount of splatter on the engine there but also on my legs and it wasn't even that that wet or mudy today really so I was riding in the rain and I just ended up drenched from the knees down I think you can get M mudu guard extenders which I'd probably be a fan of putting on there I wanted to carry some luggage on here just bungeed on there wasn't really a easy rail under here um I could pop the seat off I say pop the seat off it took yeah that's what I was thinking I was like do I want to take that off so we just take the seat can I just give me that give you that moment so thank you so there we don't have any Clips on the underside of the seat sometimes there's ones hanging out or so with these rails the seat actually covers most of the Rails I suppose you can attach something that's a little bit more permanent onto there rather than taking the seat on on off each time you want to some luggage there's quite likely some modification or or luggage bars you can put on perhaps a rack or something but it would be nice to just to have something that you can easily attach your bag or something too we got the Fus grab the mic I can't hear you hi so just with the panel off we've got some fuses relays you got the uh Reservoir there the air intake and some other bits and Bobs of wires I found the toolkit it's just on the inside of this pod here so I'm not sure what we can do with that but it looks Jolly useful so one of the issues I had also with the bike was the side stand I found quite hard to operate not impossible of course but when it's up here there's not a huge amount sticks out from the side of the exhaust um I was it's slightly easier with the ball of your foot but I keep clipping the peg here I tend to use my heel CU I'm short and then it's really quite impossible to get past the peg so it be nice if that was just a touch longer I really enjoyed riding the bike it's very comfortable and feels reliable it does everything you want it to do you could be riding it for hours or days and it would it would be comfortable and a lovely smooth ride I personally found that I wasn't having to make as much effort to be in the right gear take the right line on the road as I would necessarily in a smaller bike so I wasn't as engaged with pushing it to whatever it's capable of and it's also not the other end of the scale of being stupidly big and you're feeling like you're going to kill yourself all the time so having to tone it down for from that point of view so there was a little bit lacking in excitement I suppose with this ride although I did enjoy it very much so if you like the modern classic bikes this bike's definitely worth it it's very reliable great engine size great torque great power really easy bike I don't think it's for me I feel like I come across a bit nonplused about it and it's not that I don't like it cuz I have very much enjoyed it but personally I like a bike that I have to make more of an effort with whether it's smaller or larger and this one is just too easy
