Trevor Bauer Pranks Dodgers' Dugout!!

what we're gonna do today what i'm gonna do today is i'm gonna pull out some dugout pranks [Music] welcome back to the vlog everybody i have a very exciting episode for you today but before we get into it i must say that i am dedicating this series all season long to national gossip blogger ken rosenthal because without him and his terrible journalism i never would have had the idea to make videos like this to connect directly with you the fans so if you would like to go behind the scenes of big league life with me all season in the clubhouse on the field in game on the plane etc i'm gonna need you to hit that subscribe button right now so you don't miss this or any future content cool all right thanks andy just got off the phone with andy and we are zeroing in on some sleep metrics getting a better overall idea of what a night a good night of sleep actually looks like for me so i'm going to send that off to my analysts and then off to casey and see if he's able to uh get me some of these scores back so i'm excited about that here in about half an hour i'm going to hop in my car and drive to angel stadium so we are staying in la right now i'm in my home in pasadena and we are playing at angel stadium the next three days so i will be driving the hour down to angel stadium instead of staying down there tonight for friday night's game however tomorrow when i drive down there i will be staying in anaheim that way i don't have to drive an hour for the day game on sunday in which i will pitch i've never driven to uh an away city um in my pro career so this would be a first for me and i got a bullpen today and i gotta work on my delivery there's a couple things that were going on last start i don't think my back hip was functioning correctly and so my torso was kind of diving forward and i had my worst command day in the last two years we got to get that tightened up and it's going to start with making sure i do a little bit extra warm up today on my hips to make sure they're functioning correctly so that they can actually work in my bullpen i can get some good uh some good working on that so that's the plan for today i'm gonna do a little bit of work right now and then hop in the car and head to uh head to anaheim off to angel stadium here we go [Applause] i had to figure out how to get into this place everything's blocked off hello visiting the way around you're going to players tunnel a tunnel a thank you how's it going so i left my house at 2 20 expected to get here at 3 20 it's now 4 o'clock so freaking la traffic is brutal gotta get to the clubhouse which is through here [Music] hello hey how are you i'm well how are you good there we go what's up what's up where am i it's always the last place i look god it smells fantastic right now it's like bratwurst and oh my god i'm so hungry oh it smells so good hey bmac hello oh yeah what's up okay all right so last bullpen i threw it like 70 miles an hour because my foot hurt and it was early and my arm didn't feel great today i need to throw intensely to fix my delivery so we got to ramp this up hip's moving better today that's good not getting out in front enough though i need to drive the shoulders more hips first shoulders so we gotta go matt's intent to a spot though that's the that's the kicker to a spot [Applause] thank you appreciate it yeah all right that's exactly what i needed i needed to throw hard body feels good i'm gonna recover really well from it because the volume was low body was functioning better so we're in a great spot sunday's gonna be a good one well unfortunately i sound like a broken record dodgers lose nine two tonight got our asses kicked never felt like we were in it got a lead early one nothing and we came back we gave up four in the bottom half of that inning and then just felt completely out of it so yeah this sucks odd space to be in because we aren't going to start scoring unless people are energized but it's like chicken of the egg situation which one comes first you get energized and if you don't have anything to get energized about but if you're not energized about something it's hard to have something to get energized about just bad all around bad everything's bad right now so maybe we'll win tomorrow wade freaking miley no hitter man i feel like i can't even get one no hitter video done i can't even watch one note hitter before someone else throws a no-hitter it's crazy uh second time the indians have been no hit this year tough for them but i'm about to watch that because i want to see my boy wave pitch i talked to him just now and he's like man how the heck did i do that i love wade so if you haven't seen that video it's probably up on the channel it's up here you can check it out about to head to angel stadium not gonna be late today giving myself an extra hour buffer even though there probably won't be any traffic on a saturday so i'll probably be there early but better early than late and tonight i have to stay down in anaheim because i'm not going to get up early in the morning to drive an hour i'm going to get my extra hour of sleep so i got to pack like a one night's hotel stay so just going to get that packed up and hit the road let's talk a little bit about what's going to happen today at the field so as i mentioned it's been dead and not a lot of good ways to get out of that because of the paradox i talked about you can't be excited about something unless you have something to be excited about but you can't have something to be excited about unless you're excited so what we're gonna do today what i'm gonna do today is i'm gonna pull out some dugout pranks the intent is that it'll give guys something to talk about something to laugh about something to break the uh kind of bad energy that's been going on there's like a lot of different little jokes and pranks that can be played i don't know which one i'm gonna go with i'm gonna have to scout it out at the field but uh i'm gonna mic myself up for that we're gonna get some footage of that because we need something to laugh about and smile about right now because obviously baseball ain't it but i think if we're able to break this chain of being down in the dugout if we're able to laugh and like relax a little bit i think we'll play better so we're gonna we're gonna see what kind of shenanigans we can get into i'm gonna have to do some test runs gonna have to find an accomplice it'll be great this is for you this painting and there's a card and some candy awesome thank you very much i love watching on there so these are cool gonna wear these for catch today break them in and then uh let them fly tomorrow my mom will be here for mother's day nice perk of pitching on the west coast on mother's day so be pretty cool throwing light throwing for the day oh hey guys what's up it's a light throwing for the day and then some down time before the game so i can test out some of my methods and then full scent i'm gonna go talk with nathan because he's my composter i gotta find him it's a vlog in backstage dodgers collaboration all right what do we got yeah what do you think during the game yep we gotta set like an inning so you know when to like yeah so what i was thinking is mike myself up and i was gonna explain while i'm sitting on the dugout doing some stuff like when we're on defense like what i'm doing so i pick a couple pranks and i'll try to be as like non-conspicuous as possible plan is in place now it's on me to execute i think i can execute but i'm not positive that'll be the fun part some tools of the trade for tonight sharpie and athletic tape we'll need to get some scissors i have my targets i might have to audible but going into it that's the plan so we'll see how effective i am tonight to execute it i need some scissors thank you i'll give them back all right so rat's tail want to get a good length and just roll it up this is going to be good you want to make sure you leave a little extra at the end because we're going to make a little x with the tape you got to get it to stick somehow so that's what's going to go right on the back side two outs all right almost game time gotta be ready all right here we go there's my chance how about lexi come on boys come on here we go let's applaud oh he found it [Applause] did you really did you actually you felt it whoa that looked like a trash candy trash disposal not at all i like it i like it save that from out i'm gonna try to get d maybe i don't know if it's going to stay or not i know i don't know if it's going to stay it's tough how do you [Applause] well not sure if it was the pranks or not but boys are up 13-1 right now in the sixth bottom of the sixth i'm taking off to go get some food and get some sleep i'm pitching a day game tomorrow mother's day tomorrow so i'm gonna watch the rest of the game while i get some food and uh have an early night i don't know if it was the pranks i don't know what it was but uh an offensive explosion it was good to see because it wasn't just a lot of walks and a couple homers it was like a lot of really dinky hits like things finally going our way squibbers like three consecutive squibbers on the infield bloops all night i don't even think we hit a homer yet um so everyone was getting hits and like some of the luck was starting to go our way which is good maybe that'll get some guys energized and uh get us out of this little funk we're in looks like it'll be 1-1 in the series going into tomorrow so chance to win the series on sunday well bad night of sleep i'm feeling my throat my heart rate variability is way way down so not great hopefully we get through today with enough energy to pitch and then we can get healthy by the next start it stays like today that you hope things go your way you're gonna go out there pitch not feel great not feel your best by any means hopefully my command's there my stuff probably isn't gonna be there my energy levels probably aren't gonna be there so find a pitch that's working hopefully hit some spots get some early outs have some balls hit hard right at people that's the kind of day i mean it's kind of damn it's going to be tough to get myself out of jams like i was in last time luckily for me i usually don't have a lot of back to back poor command outings so pretty sure my command will be there today overall energy and stuff probably won't be so bad stretch of starts for me right now i haven't felt great since like three or four starts ago not good good first year going with the dodgers for trevor bauer who has a 244 era power to walsh with a 3-2 pitch pin point for strike three up then leading off this city taking strike three on a fastball sit here and hang on every pitch [Music] tenth pitch with the change-up which he threw four times against the cubs on tuesday he'd only thrown four of them all year before that it's nasty got him for the fastball 2-2 got him for the fastball to 97. threw it again and struck him off 3-2 he struck him out whole bunch of cutters and then the fourth seamer here's a one two and strikes out wall got him looking with the fastball his fourth k in a row his ninth of the day up six innings four hits two walks two runs five of the six base runners all came in the same inning and we lost to one so in your words how would you say the team is feeling right now i don't necessarily want to speak for the team i don't know there's a lot of other guys in the locker room that feel how they feel uh i'm pissed personally i freaking hate losing i want to win that's why i came here and this is just not we are not playing up to our capability right now so i'm mad i'm not going to speak on behalf of anybody else you can say it's early and you can say there's no need to panic and you can say all these things and they're all true but at the end of the day like we're not just going to roll the bats and balls out there and win baseball games we're not just going to sleepwalk our way to winning another division title and you know going to the world series again and that's not how it works you know it's you got to go out there and beat someone every day and we haven't been good at it we need to be better thank you trevor it's mother's day i'm gonna get some food here with mama and papa bauer to celebrate mother's day i've been sitting in my car for like five minutes after getting to the restaurant trying to get myself in the right mindset because i'm just really freaking mad i just i hate losing i hate playing like i hate it just drives me nuts but i don't want to be in that kind of mindset when i go to dinner with my parents so trying to collect myself but it's just unacceptable yeah unacceptable is a great word The pranks were okay but I would like to see more regular interactions with the players

I have changed my tune about this guy. He knows his stuff, he's a competitor and I hope he is a welcomed addition to the team. He said it himself, there is a lot of negative energy going on and the guys need a boost. Cannot fault the guy trying to make that happen.

I would loved to have seen his reaction after he left the game and it was 14-1 and then the makings of a comeback happened... hahaha. Glad we hung on.
