Trekking to Gokyo Valley in Nepal | Travel Video

day one and we have raised problem it was about 280 kilometers of motorcycle ride and took us about 8 hours to reach far flew from Kathmandu so from here it's another one our off-road adventure to reach tuk Sindhu from toxin do we are going to start our trek to gokyo and that's the far blue airport [Music] an hour way too taxing do we had to stop a few times as the road was under construction and had to be repaired it is a steep uphill climb after crossing the river driving slowly through the country road and taking it the beauty of the countryside landscape another river crossing and it's a big one [Music] [Music] [Music] okay let's get going oops didn't mean to scare you so this is the last uphill climb before we reach attack syndrome so finally after nine hours of motorbiking we have a glimpse of toxin due in the far we can see the toxin do Goomba and the beautiful ducks in the village looking out for a place to stay in toxin do we notice a house and the far left that stacks into resort where we decided to stay for tonight Thaksin the resort is home to world famous Mountaineer delayed Parvati reserva taxing the resort offered a nice parking space where we left our motorbike during our track well after moving over those gas cylinders I made it true and that concluded our journey from Katmandu to tucks into 320 kilometers in total nine hours a motorbike ride wrote to tax we had our little tea break at cirque a coconut biscuit with coffee and tea [Music] [Music] [Music] okay let's have a little break time for some refreshment the Claire port is right on top of that mountain [Music] seems like a very busy day at the lukla airport it is the tracking season so the Lukla Airport is the most busiest [Music] an hour way to farting we notice a lot of Buddhist cultural side beautiful alleyways with beautiful buddhist art work [Music] notice the Goomba a monastery on the cliff face [Music] [Music] according to Buddhist Tech's spinning prayer wheels will bring wisdom now reached facting facting lies at an elevation of two thousand six hundred and ten meters at 14 we stayed at shangri-la guesthouse [Music] day four and a beautiful day to start our trek it's a big day today we are tracking all the way from to namja bazaar on our way from 14 we notice a rise in trackers many of the trackers fly directly from Kathmandu to lukla and start their journey from Lukla and the trail also gets better from facting it's more wider and more managed [Music] beautiful location to take a photograph [Music] and that is tattooed cosas river [Music] [Music] walking alongside the dude kosi river with a beautiful view and a warm sunshine taking in the beauty of the nature so much relaxing a perfect day for trekking [Music] we are now entering sagarmatha national park the national park ranges in elevation from 2845 to 8,848 meters all the way to the top of Mount Everest welcome to the sagarmatha Nestle park [Music] on the way we encountered a bit of a traffic jam but they are very kind and gentle and let us through but my wife it's a bit scared [Music] well what do we know this is the famous Hillary suspension bridge and we are really excited to cross it this bridge is named after Sir Edmund Hillary and is the Gateway to nab Chi bazaar the river you see down below yes you name it that's dude cozy [Music] [Music] looking back at the trail we came through the meandering dude kosi river below us the beautiful landscape after crossing the Hillary breeze it's an uphill climb to our destination for today damn scimitar [Music] after around two hours from the Hillary breeze we spotted the first houses of am ciabatta welcome to the beautiful and bustling town of namja bazaar it took us about 5 hours and 20 minutes to hike 12.7 2 kilometers all the way from 14 [Music] it's an amazing experience to be at Namjoo bazaar it's a vibrant Sherpa market town shaped like a bowel all those houses built into the steep mountainside at an elevation of 3,440 meters [Music] Namjoo bazaar is the gateway to the Everest reason we stayed at hotels cheerful and Nancy Bazar is a colorful town with beautiful ambience it is the biggest town inside the computer and there are plenty of things to do here well it's time for some hot chocolate day five and we are greeted with this beautiful view from our hotel window and here is the picture from the other side [Music] today we begin our hike from namja to dolly and it's a lovely morning today with perfect sunshine and a clear view [Music] and we have our first view of Mount Everest Segarra Matta [Music] we have a clear view of Mount Everest lots a and I'm a table on the right the trail from Nancy Bazar is very nice it's wide and well paved [Music] [Music] the trail to the right leads to Everest base camp and we are thinking left to go cute [Music] [Laughter] [Music] it is an uphill hike from here towards Montana and a picture from this viewpoint with AMA Dablam seen in all its glory the settlement that you see up there on the ridge is the mandala it is situated at an elevation of 4,000 40 meters this is Montana and we will have our lunch here with a beautiful panoramic view of the Himalayan mountain ranges on our way down from Montana we spotted a Himalayan animal not sure about it but looks like Himalayan Tahr it is now uphill hike to dolly after descending from Montana as you can see the river on our right is almost frozen and here we have a rare sighting of the musk deer also known as castoreum riga in the valley [Music] [Music] yucks going downhill with a beautiful village of for sale in the background [Music] just before reaching dolly we noticed this area full of waterfowl we have raised Dolan it took us about five hours and 20 minutes to cover a distance of 12 point 7 kilometers from namju bazaar dolly is situated at an elevation of 4,000 40 meters [Music] basics of our track today we are going to hike from Dali to reach mature more [Music] there is a picture of Dolly this morning we have dolly down below us and in the Far background is the village of Fort Sill [Music] we now have the view of mount so you which is the 6th highest mountain in the world standing at an elevation of 8,000 188 meters after an uphill hike from Dali the trail leading to mature mo is pretty flat there is not much uphill or downhill and it winds through this beautiful valley with 316 view of mountain and a river on our right and guess what it's the Duke Kosi River dudh kosi river which descends from walls six highest mountain so you is the highest river in town of elevation [Music] this is the village of Louisa and we will have our tea break here [Music] [Music] lovely day at Cosi River Valley time for some selfie and that is mature more below us we have arrived our destination for today mature mode [Music] it is a cert hike from dollar to mature mo we traveled five point three kilometers and it took us about two hours and 20 minutes the beautiful scenic village of mature mo lies at an elevation of four thousand four hundred and eighty meters at mature mo we stayed at the peacefulness truly a beautiful and a peaceful logic set amongst the scenic landscape and run by a lovely couple Pasi Sierra and his wife Nima champion [Music] [Laughter] [Music] [Music] you [Music] [Music] and this is the mature mo peak standing at an elevation of 6237 years and it is the highlight cost immature more villains the peaceful and relaxing ambience of majima and captivating scenic landscape around us our stay at mature moon is a memorable experience thank you [Music] like a broker thank you [Music] day seven and it is an exciting one today we are going to hike from mature mo to our final destination for this track gokyo [Music] it is a steep uphill climb through the narrow valley alongside the dude cozy reaper at this altitude the air is 10 so we are taking it slow with short breaks with a panoramic view of scenic landscape [Music] after crossing the small praise we came across the 1st gokyo league and we can see a pair of duck and a little one swimming in the coca link these leagues are the world's highest freshwater lake system comprising of six main leagues all ranging from an altitude of 4,700 meters the 5000 meters [Music] here is a picture looking back at the first book julik [Music] looking back at the trail we came background mount show you today we hiked for a total of eight point five kilometers all the way from mature mo to reach gokyo in approximately three hours time Volker is situated at an elevation of four thousand seven hundred and fifty meters making it one of the highest settlement in the world and it is a very surreal experience to be here [Music] at guca we stayed at Fitzroy in a star accommodation at this altitude [Music] the in provided us with well insulated warm and cozy room with a dad's bathroom running hot and cold water yes hot shower and a view from the window looking at the beautiful copulate [Music] relaxing with a warm cup of hot chocolate and a cup of brewed coffee with an amazing view of the gokyo lake from one of the world's highest peak recovery [Music] we spend a lovely afternoon by the lakeside after gokyo lake [Music] relaxing with the calm and a peaceful atmosphere of the coca Valley taking in the beauty of the scenic landscape surrounding us a pair of broody cell duck also known as a caricature in Nepali or lovebirds can be seen swimming gracefully in the gokyo lake these migratory birds can be seen in averaging clinical colleagues [Music] [Laughter] [Music] and this little bird is the robbing a center and is found in the mountainous region ranging from three thousand to five thousand five hundred meters at koko we can see a medical health post providing 24 hours healthcare service [Music] the warm Sun is setting and it is getting colder nonetheless we are loving it [Music] there is nothing like a beautiful sunset to end a lovely day good morning from the coca Valley as you can see the water in the cooker lake is glassy and calm still and turquoise in color with a glow after sunrise they ate and today is a tough one we are going to climb all the way to the top of kokkuri [Music] [Music] kukuri stands at an elevation of 5,300 meters so that is about 500 meters uphill from copia Valley [Music] due to the elevation the air is quite thin here so we are taking it slow taking short break every few steps [Music] and the postcard of the cocoa Valley [Music] after about little more than halfway up the climb we have our first view of Mount Everest [Music] and that is the steep mountainside after into llamas the prayer flags on the summit of gokyo a fib after hiking uphill for 3 hours and 20 minutes for a total of 4 kilometers all the way from coca Valley we have now reached the summit of gokyo and here is a selfie from the summit of gokyo which is spectacular 360 degrees of panoramic view of the Himalayan mountain ranges [Music] [Music] we have come a long way from tax in do to reach the summit of gokyo and it is a very rewarding and emotional experience to reach the top of cookery with a breathtaking view of one of the highest settlements in the world the pristine beautiful go colleagues surrounded by majestic high mountains four of them over 8,000 meters high spectacular view of Mount Everest
