the next part of this video is going to be a behind the scenes of how I went on this trip and made this video but first a word from our sponsors you may have noticed me using some electrolyte hydration cubes while on the trail especially on hot days when I was sweating and needed to be rehydrated these micro light hydration cubes were provided by water drop they come in three flavors blueberry melon and my favorite grapefruit they have five electrolytes and nine vitamins packed inside and you can use codec Craig 15 for a discount when you click the link in the description if you want to try them out yourself thank you water drop for sponsoring this video and making this trip possible worm and coziness on this track was provided by The North Face I got to try this Summit Series puff man it kept me warm I'll tell you nice and soft I like this thing and for my feet at Camp these thermoball traction booties kept me super warm and they're so soft I was able to pack super light on this Trek and have this rain jacket the super lightweight shell in my pack every day as an emergency so thank you North Face for making this trip possible and helping me to do what I love to do and I can't wait to check out more items from your collection you know shoes and jackets and Sun hoodies they have it all so what was this trip and why did I do it this was my third time visiting Nepal consecutively each year the First with Marty hamal than Everest Base Camp and now the Mana slew Trek different areas above Kathmandu in the Himalayan Mountains this was not a solo hike it was a group trip set up by Vagabond Trails they organized the whole thing and I was just in charge of promoting it to my subscribers and I sold these tickets on Instagram stories and YouTube posts and I probably will do more group events in the future maybe hornstrander so I hope to see you you there I also invited my brother Curtis who recently got off the CDT Trail so it was nice having him I also had my friend Renee who has an awesome Instagram you should check out so it was really fun to hang out with them and then these new subscribers that I met for the first time and for y'all who have watched the Tour de Mont Blanc video you may have noticed Tomas our guide from that Trek was brought in for this one as well accompanied by a handful of mountain Sherpas Pemba being our Mountain leader we had such an amazing group and porters to help carry some of the duffels everything was taken care of on this Trek and I just had to go and enjoy myself and it was a lovely trip the 100 mile Trek took us about 10 days going up over a big pass and then coming back down the last two days I tracked every day on all Trails so if you go to my profile there you can see my activities but I am super interested in posting more on Strava instead there seems to be a better Community there and I'm excited to have a Craig Adams hiking group that you can join right now but feel free to follow me on Strava if you use that app I'll be making all of my new maps from YouTube videos on Strava this one being the first hiking 100 miles of the manislow circuit Trek in Nepal you can see the elevation gain the route I did you can export this GPX to other apps or just use it download it directly in Strava but it was so nice to hike in Nepal again and we continued the tradition of sneaking little rocks into people's packs as they were hiking this time I brought a mini magnetic chess board that we used every single day I will say this Trail was pretty rugged compared to others that I've done in Nepal we went in November when it was pretty dry and had perfect weather but you know during monsoon season the water levels rise and it just completely destroys parts of this Trail so you just have to be careful and aware that you know rocks could fall and dirt could be loose because it's kind of a dynamic Trail alongside the river the trail was pretty quiet in my opinion and food was available to buy at every stop every day and night multiple tea houses along the way there was the ability to charge at every single place except maybe you know plus or minus one or two days from the pass this is what all of the bathrooms kind of look like on this track you just have to get used to it I highly recommend bringing some wet wipes and a roll of toilet paper just to like blow your nose because it kind of gets messed up in the high altitudes and Wi-Fi was available for the whole track except for plus or minus two days from the pass at every stop other than near the pass there were places to take showers some of them were hot some of them were not I chose to just be a dirt ball and not shower until the fair very end and I didn't do any research because everything was taken care of by Vagabond but I believe you need a guide to go on this Trek the first view of Mana slew is just amazing it's the eighth highest mountain in the world so it's it's a big boy in the optional day up to manislo base camp is totally worth it you have great views and you get up to about 16 000 feet and it helps you prepare for the pass which is coming in the next days people found small rocks in their stuff a lot this track sorry there were just so many dogs and especially little tiny puppies on this track uh just adorable and you know made me miss my dog and I think my brother should get a dog because he stopped a pet every single dog he met jorel carried this giant stick around the entire track up and down and the locals loved it he loved joking around with them they were just always very interested in this stick I absolutely loved getting to trail run down the last day almost 14 miles of running downhill and I was going through the Fall colors and it was just nice to be alone for a little bit and get some exercise it's almost like the beginning of the Trek is like a ski lift up so that I can trail run down it's a big part of why I love getting out there into nature it's like letting loose and running down it's fun but this was like my last big trip of 2022 ended off with a bang you know I love Nepal I definitely will go again but I flew directly home uh I missed my wife and my puppy and my home in Denver this Trek was shot entirely handheld on the iPhone 14 pro I edited the video on Final Cut 10 on this MacBook Air M1 for music I used musicbed and just one artist you know got a bunch of their tracks is very ambient and just really worked for this video my drone Clips were shot on a DJI Mini 3 Pro their brand new little tiny baby uh drone you know it really packs a punch and was able to stand up against the wind and high altitudes and the long lasting batteries are just so good on it you know it's my favorite drone ever links to these and all of the favorite gear that I'm current currently using as always is on my linktree.com slash Craig but you can also follow me on Instagram and Tick Tock I posted some content from this trip on there I might have some occasional small trips in the next couple of months but yeah it's winter winter Craig is coming out if you want to follow me on my gaming channel that's probably where I'm going to be posting most of the content the next couple of weeks or months so thank you for the support there and on this channel and once again thank you water drop in North Face for sponsoring this video and uh see you in the next video
