[Music] what is that mysterious Force which just seems to magically draw us to the cars from The Fast and Furious movies is it all just flashy colors crazy body kits and underglow or is there more to it to some it's the insane nitrous fuel Speed and Performance and to others it's the people who are driving these cars in the movies granny shift and not double clutching like you should see it's different for everyone but I think we can all agree on how influential these cars have been to an entire generation of car enthusiasts it's the crazy styling of these cars that just perfectly embodies the spirit of the 2000s they remind us of easier times and just give us a sense of nostalgia and peace well whatever it is that makes these cars so special this car has none of it which tells me this needs to change it's body kit time we're going to fit new fenders because as you can see here super Rusty and and this definitely needs some replacement also what we're going to fix in this video is the rear hatch after that we are going to fit the full body kit including as I said in the last video the rear bumper the side skirts the fender flares maybe I don't know yet and the front bumper so let's see how that goes okay so let's get back home and start working right away let's go all right and there we actually have our new fenders as you can see they're like they are brand new I actually bought them brand new and these were also super cheap they super cheap like the the new hood $30 the new fend fenders they were like 50 bucks for a pair of new fenders it's just incredible so what we're going to do is install these now and after that we will install the full body kit okay by the looks of it we just need to remove this bolt this one this one and I think this one and my initial thought was to look for some more screws in the wheel Arch but I couldn't find any so we're going to figure it out two more screws here which is right under underneath the front bumper and yeah that's pretty much it so let's try to figure out where these screws actually are well and it didn't take me long to realize that we would first need to remove the front bumper in order to access all the fender bolts but thankfully this is easy enough just remove some screws and bolts in front of the fender remove the headlights and disconnect them and just repeat the same steps on the other side as well remove the fog lights in the front bumper and pull the whole assembly off once that's done we can move forward to the actual Fender the bolts you need to remove are located on top in the wheel Arch and on the side of the fender my dad was actually also curious on how things were going what I have to do now is just reattach the wheel Arch liner I don't even know what it's called correctly and then we're just going to repeat the same exact steps on the other side let's [Music] go all right now that we've installed everything fenders right and on the left we can move forward on actually installing the front bumper obviously we're not going to install the OEM front bumper because to be honest it looks super ugly it's broken and I got replacement and here we go here we got our new front bumper uh I'm just going to take it out of the garage real quick it's going to look super cool [Music] oh and by the way guys don't panic because we are not going to leave these headlights as they are because see I'm just fitting them temporarily because I still need to drive this car but I have some really really cool headlights that I bought second hand for very cheap as well so stay tuned for that next we're going to fit the grill and the old one has seen better days so I got a new one and this wasn't even secondhand it was completely new now this one is really nice and clean it doesn't have a Volkswagen logo and it's pure black so just a look at it I mean obviously the color differences in the panels it it it's only temporary we're going to get a rep for the car so don't worry about that and after a short break we can move on to replacing the rear hatch to do that we simply need to remove two screws in there I don't know if you can see it there's like one 13 mm bolt in there and one on top here and then we can basically just lift off the old rear hatch and replace it with a new one so let's [Music] go now before we can fit the new hatch we first need to transfer some things over from the old [Music] [Music] one okay I think that turned out super cool but there's something missing right the TA [Music] lights [Music] and that is it for the tail lights let's shut the rear hatch and see how it looks I think it looks pretty cool I think it's going to fit very well with the overall styling I mean they are really not the prettiest ones but I think they really match with this classic 2000's tuna car style all right and last but not least we're going to be fitting the side skirts as well as the rear bumper and as you can see here it's less of a actual rear bumper it's more of a kind of attachment rear diffuser thing and we got a problem with that so I bought this one as well as the hood and the rear hatch from the same guy second hand in bulk so it was actually super affordable the only problem is that this one is for a golf Mark 2 so when I noticed it I called him up and he was super nice about it he was like oh I'm sorry I gave you the the one for the golf Mark 2 we're just going to exchange it for the proper one and um yeah so later I'm going to go and grab the right one and then we're going to fit it so first let's fit the Sid skirts if any of you has worked with fiberglass Parts before you know that the fitment is not always the greatest so I'm expecting to hit some bmps along the way do you remember the bums that I've just mentioned two seconds ago oh [Music] well okay so I've actually found a solution and you might not like it now due to our little problem problem over here I had to resort to like a very very ugly and temporary solution which is double-sided tape and I know don't please please don't hate me but for now if we really want to fit these today this is our only solution obviously it's only temporary we're going to fit them with self tappers in the future but for now I'm I really want to see how that looks on the car so we're going to fit it with double-sided tape first I'm sorry big disclaimer don't do this on your car attach it properly with self tappers or with a sturdy connection don't do it with like double-sided tape or hot glue or anything this really is a safety hazard and this is only temporary so don't do it well now that we're done with the left side of the car let's move on to the right side of the car and just repeat the same steps you're so and I finally found a solution on how to fit the side skirts what I did is basically just used the double-sided tape to stick them on temporarily then I filled the Gap with hot glue I know it's it's getting crazier and crazier and then I screwed them in with self-tapping screws on the bottom so actually right now it's all tightened up and what I decided to do is fill the Gap with body f and sand it down so this little seam between the original s skirt and this add-on SK side skirt is not visible anymore and it basically looks like it has been there since the beginning we really accomplished many many things today we fitted the front bumper we fitted the side skirts we fitted the new fenders even the tail lights and the rear hatch but let's talk about how much we've actually spent on the build so far the Hood cost me 30 bucks the fenders $50 for a pair the rear hatch 30 bucks front bumper also 30 bucks the side skirts were $40 the front grill was $1750 off of eBay and the taillights were 13 bucks which leaves us with a grand total of $211 15p all right guys and that's pretty much it for this video today first of all I want to say a big big thank you for all of those who stayed till the end of the video I know it was a pretty long one today but I also think that we did pretty pretty good today it was a very very long day Sun is setting right now I'm super tired I just want to take a shower and go to bed but until then make sure you subscribe because if you remember what I said in the last video once we hit 1,000 subscribers one of my subscribers will actually be able to win this baby right here so guys
