Transforming a 91 Toyota MR2 into the Ultimate Trackable Daily!

[Music] [Music] hey guys thank you for joining me today my name is awam and today I wanted to take a moment to share the build that I've been working on for a few years it's this lovely car right here called Mr Phase 2 it's a 1991 Toyota MR2 it's uh a turbo 3sgte let's go ahead and jump in first uh I'll go ahead and start from the front this is a stock bumper here but it does have an upgraded lip here off of the aware design it is made in Southern California by a company called Shine Auto project this splitter here I made by myself it is you know Chase is mounted uh just to give it some more support uh we have some yellow fog lights some clear turn signals pop up the headlights here a lot of people inquire about are the Morimoto heel beam 5 S the great headlights what's really cool about these headlights kind of look like the the Porsche they do have the daytime running 4 LED they have four projectors here and uh they are sync to your turn signals which is awesome we do have some uh titanium dress up bolts here for the lights the car rides on Rota grid wheels that are 17x 8 plus 35 offset in the front and 17x 9 plus 42 offsets in the rear now my goal for this vehicle was to build a trackable daily SL weend car so to achieve the perfect balance between Track Performance and Street Comfort I upgraded to the stoptech st43 big brake kit with willwood rotors and Fortune Auto 500 series coilovers running 5K and 7K Springs in the rear I finished it off by adding wh line sway bars and the MR2 Heaven sway bar reinforcement plates which really enhan the cornering agility of the vehicle the radiator cover is stainless steel made by DM and installed by using a rivet nut tool and some dress up bolts which really gives it some needed modernization [Music] one of my most favorite things about this vehicle is um the rear end this if you're curious ious this bumper here is um a standard bumper but these are the rear balances or spats from BX if you're curious the exhaust is from TCS Motorsports I love this exhaust it just has the perfect hum enough air flow can't recommend it [Music] enough uh digital plate from revor change the background from black to white personalize the message on the bottom renew your registration looks great clear tail lights gentleman named 72 gazu from Instagram can create those for you K tail lights these are from 93 plus models this is a 91 so it doesn't come with uh the K tail lights it comes standard with the zeni tail lights so I did upgrade that it has a 93 994 spoiler upgrade let's go ahead and take a look at the engine so this is a Gen 4 3s GTE it has an upgraded uh strut Tower brace um upgraded intercooler piping with an upgraded intercooler um I do have a carbon fiber valve cover and a TRD oil cap now as for the blowoff valve I'm using a tile blowoff valve and I do have a oil catch can here as far as the transmission I do have a e153 transmission I bought it brand new from Toyota uh the clutch is a fx300 stage three clutch with an act light flywheel called the prite the turbo is the stock ct15b with an upgraded Billet flywheel which produces approximately 320 wheel horsepower at 18 PSI when I first purchased a car it had a full blue fabric interior and manual rollup windows I really wanted a black interior and some Creature Comforts like power windows power mirrors power door locks but that was way too expensive but I got super lucky and ended up rescuing an MR2 which was going to be scrapped and luckily it had a black interior so I went to work once the conversion was complete I began restoring the interior first by fixing the lifting Dash and then upgrading everything to the OEM power door locks windows and power mirrors then I had a gentleman by the name of eigor out of the UK upholster some leather and Alcantara seat covers for me I upgraded the cable speedometer to an electronic speedometer and designed the overlays to look OEM but made them a little more cleaner and sportier looking and of course I put the name of the car on it and added a Boose gauge I have the gry /wor spell wrap fix 2 steering wheel kit and I also upgraded the radio to the Pioneer 4600 NEX which has Wireless Apple carplay and is definitely a must the climate controls are from a JDM MR2 and for my phone holder I have an ESR magnet phone holder which could be placed in the vent or uh stuck anywhere in the car dash I have the MR2 Heaven shorty shifter and an elbow pad which makes the center console so much more comfortable and I highly recommend it the door cards are also made by eagor in the UK and are alcanta material and I have the turbo Center storage box and a rear and front black view dash cam and I have a grety Boost controller which I keep tucked away on the bottom right hand side right above my upper leg area and I think that's about it you're making me sweat sweat sweat off down deep to your bones you're making me [Music] [Music]
