welcome back to ismangalisso again my name is saquili dube from safari and south in this park if you drive around this area you'll see quite a lot of these type of trees what to call a palm tree but this one we call it a wild date palm maybe you've been on a date but this one is a wild date it does produce fruit as you see them around here they start to be green and tend to be yellowish and they become brown when they are brown like this you can easily to consume or to eat them a lot of people need to go to the supermarket to buy the dates but those are a little bit nicer and bigger than what you have but they've got the same flavor as this one around home we does produce wine out of this type of a palm tree so we've got about three types of a local wine in my local area the one is seasonal what you call amarula wine and two of those wine are made up of palm it's one from this one what you call a wild dead palm and the other palm we call it ilapal so out of those two palm wide or palm trees we get a wine out of it so we cut the tree from the stem we collect the sap it's coming from the stem and we take that step we add sugar we add a little bit of water you keep it for three to five days to get fermented after that it's quite a nice juice to drink but at the end of the day you feel a little bit dizzy because of the wine but the one of which i prefer if you've got a headache or you're tired in my language if i say la la la la which means sleep as we call that one ilalapa ilala of which means once you take too much of that wine for sure you go for sleep cheers see you soon don't sleep now i'll be back you
