Topical Tuesdays #43 - KR QOL style book!!, ELIXIR BAD (+streamer drama i guess) | Lost Ark

hello there everybody welcome back to another lost AR video today is Tuesday topical Tuesday we check out the subreddit the Lost AR subreddit specifically see just kind of what's been happening over the last week um there is some special uh how you say drama going on with the streamers specifically I'm not going to touch on that too much but just to give you guys a brief overview on I will make a a a note SL mention of it mostly because it's one of the most upvoted posts on the subreddit at this point this meme ready for breaker or Kong Kong uh this is the name of creddit account allegedly there's this Google document that kind of shows some things uh and look into the drama more if you I don't really care that much honestly uh I think if people are being shitty that's not a good thing but like I just I don't have the mental bandwidth for me personally to go into like streamer drama right now but this is a popular thing so I wanted to make a mention of it uh and this is also stemmed from like the ATK thread that was on Reddit the other day where ATK got banned off of twitch for dropping a gamer word uh live on the internet to you know people generally don't you want to be dropping gamer words but hey man it is what it is I suppose as far as that goes though let's get on with the actual meat and potatoes of the video which is us just [ __ ] around and looking at post on the subreddit first thing I'm going to look at I have some tabs open here Elixir is the worst system ever created it's been one month since I'm Doing Hard Mode the game still decides that I'm not qualified enough to craft a 43 Elixir luckily I just got a four 54 but the RNG chose for a different armor piece of course I'm forced to pay for support to enter a raid etc etc on 35 set etc etc basically um I have been somebody who doesn't really like the Elixir system with I'm somebody who hit 4 set very but whether I hit it easily or not the system doesn't change guys and the system is kind of [ __ ] um like it's fine if you enjoy like gambling I just don't enjoy the entire process of Elixir I guess I don't enjoy cutting them and I think if I enjoyed crafting them more it would be less shitty feeling um but we system cre far uh and then this is also true finish in a few weeks to maybe two months Max realistically Elixir are a pretty easy system in the grand system scheme of lost Arc to finish um I think the main thing that's really bad about Elixir is set bonus [ __ ] and how it's inconsistent to even see your set bonus let alone cut an elixir with it that's like not dog [ __ ] that's the thing that I specifically don't uh the other thing that I don't like obviously is just how long it takes to make an Elixir the amount of money it costs to cut it is also pretty pretty up there it's I mean it's not bad but it's enough to be obnox ous especially when you get to the point of like not even Min maxing but trying to cut Elixir that are like hard to upgrade but not impossible to upgrade if that makes sense so basically like most of the elixir of my character like my shoulders my gloves [ __ ] like that um trying to cut an Elixir to replace those is kind of obnoxious still cuz I still want to do it cuz they're E I wouldn't say they're easily replaced placeable but they're still reasonably able to be upgraded that's kind of what I mean I feels like such a I don't know I just either you like it or you don't you know I think you have both sides of the coin I think as far as systems go I mean Elixir is probably one of the better systems but that's not saying much when all the other systems are kind of shitty like cutting stones and cutting bracelets but is what it is we deal with what we got to deal with you know uh Kara got a big Q update recently and this is some of the stuff that they got they got a style book people can share customizations and skins allow other people to download customizations this a style book from the Lost Art KR website which is kind of cool and this is from the in-game section so it's basically like I think like video character presets like if you're cra uh creating a character in Boo there's a bunch of different uploaded presets from people stuff like this but for like skins and outfits and customizations and lost Arc which I think is really cool and I think it's really uh welcome open chat this is just a global chat that lets everyone join sure neat love that and then it looks like they've done some like messaging updates in terms of the messenger which is in interesting stronghold update Point increase nice more stronghold stuff more trees you can spam down new teleports cool preview neat dabbing makoko two new hairs these hairs are like pretty underwhelming I guess the long one's nice I don't really like the short one the male one I don't know looks really boring to be honest purify immune update uh what the [ __ ] am I looking at here oh is this supposed to say purify but it's in a language I cannot understand that would make sense uh improve Sheep music song of Escape cool down 30 seconds nice I can escape even faster now remind me six months uh stylebook looks pretty cool and the purify popup is also appreciated been a while since I use a global chat future depending on how accessible this is might actually improve the new player experience yeah I think being able to have a global chat that doesn't suck ass is like pretty clutch I'd like to see quick recharge text when it procs that's also kind of true and kind of based next thing we got going on here is the Maxell Community voted tier list which is always a fun one uh tier lists are always fun I haven't made one in a while and I probably should honestly it's a fun video um oh this is a little bit different from when I last seen it but cuz I remember Bard being in B cuz I was like beef for Bard uh but I mean it's a tier list you know everybody has their own opinions on what uh classes are good and classes are bad uh numerically speaking though I think the classes that are numerically performing are generally in the right area um there's a few things that I personally am like why is that there and you know what I mean like feel like surge should just straight up be number one uh I just it's so much better than anything else in the game um I think eio Soul Fist is really good but I don't think it's as good as surge um especially when you have something like this or this cuz I think these two are better than this you see what I mean tier lists are all very subjective um and that's the thing to remember it's opinion based and it's based on I mean this is obviously based on community voted tier list so it's just Community perception right um so can't really fault this tier list any one way or the other it is interesting to see though that just kind of where people place these things in terms of how good XYZ is in the general community's perception it's interesting that they perceive di higher than even for example or di higher than control crazy to me why is control so low I mean it's not fun to play in my personal opinion but you get the idea hopefully hm uh interesting I just wanted to bring that up though because I mean it's obviously one of the top posts of the week uh can you give me the names of the classes okay so I guess I'll just read this here so in s here they have Knights Edge full moon surge Predator esoteric and EO sulfus in a you have I was going to say Resident Evil remaining energy hunger Death Strike Pinnacle Emperor first intention barrage Hutu Empress lunar Punisher Artin technique robust enhanced weapon uh red gun Lancer wind Fury Arrow shock Scrapper pistolier death blow rag Hammer perfect suppression loyal companion and Mayhem uh and then in the B tier we have uh esoteric Striker igniter BT drizzle Arrow blue gun Lancer Peacemaker Master Summoner demonic control Legacy evolutionary Legacy scooter scoter uh reflux sorc in C gravity training in C time to hunt in C Firepower in C and then D have communication overflow Summoner that's sort of the list we got going on there my characters in item level order are SE [Laughter] bass SE bass I love that what do we got going on here what's wrong with the Lost Art Community well brother I got news for you cuz it's not just the Lost Art Community but uh every Community especially Niche communities for games but what is wrong with the Lost Art Community I've never had as many nasty Encounters in any other game as I have had in Lost AR since I started playing Legion raids I used to play a lot of MMOs it's kind of new to me why do people who know the game 300 roster level plus LOL 30 Etc never try to help but instead they just flame others for not doing enough DPS slsh up time I'm curious as I'm a grown-up adult with a job like most of us are okay great glad you noted that I love to do leion r raids for fun but instead I get frustrated because even though I know all Mees perfectly there must always be this fun unsufferable Little Nerd who keeps blaming me about up de his healing oh God I mean reality of it is these people exist in every game on earth using the I'm an adult with a job we we're all adults with jobs man you're not special I'm sorry uh if a shitty person is going to be a shitty person it has nothing to do with like their circumstan well I mean that's not true uh generally it has a lot to do with their circumstances but like their impact on society or their age generally with it you know what I mean um as much as I'd like to just be able to Flame everybody whose mean is like some meany head but uh this is not just specific to Lost AR unfortunately lost AR has it pretty bad though because the niche community of sweaty nerds definitely leaves a lot to be desired because there's not very many cycling in uh and then I think the first comment because I read this earlier the first comment here puts it pretty well there's one thing I noticed even those that try to be helpful and explain people what they did wrong with the build or their rotation or whatever else there might be that people prefer not listening just straight up song of Escape I've seen this scenario play out multiple times I'm not going to defend people flaming for no reason because in my opinion I don't care that much especially in older raids etc etc but let's be honest about the reason this kind of stuff even happens in this game to begin with it's because most of the people are trying to do week getting jailed in one Rec uh getting jailed in Rec one-year-old content is let's be honest not fun getting jailed inv vault in the extreme is fine not many people get mad that much after an hour of prog but getting jailed and gate to bro because people can't do the maze or [ __ ] up the Pento starm mechanic can get frustrating this game is 3 to five raids a week I'm pretty sure a lot more people would be way more nicer and willing to help people than there are now uh I think this is generally true uh a lot of people fall into the mindset of I have to do all 18 raids in all of my characters every week or else I'm out and I can't possibly have fun in this game so you get people who get a little upset when they probably shouldn't be getting upset and I mean I've always been uh somebody who's been on Team like it's just a game relax kind of deal cuz it is you know it's not worth getting mad at somebody over something so benign truthfully I just don't know where you get the energy to be that angry ain't no way lost cers more toxic than a mobile game like leoda true I mean like I said there's always going to be these kind of people in every game like you play ever like it's just the the nature of the be right um being a being forced to interact with other humans there's going to be some humans that are not good some humans that are not adjusted or some humans that just don't give a [ __ ] about you or anyone truthfully and yeah just fact of the matter it's how it's going to be um not saying that's a good thing but it's not unique to Lost AR there are a lot of really nice people in Lost Arc then once in a while you run into huge [ __ ] you remember those asshol clearly being an [ __ ] isn't exclusive to roster level true true true true true try to help people during a raid give them advice while some monkey is Flaming them the entire time and just tell to ignore them Focus my advice since performance anxiety through like that's another thing that I always uh bring up when people get mad and use the like oh I have to do all these raids excuses uh you like try to [ __ ] on somebody because they can't do something quote unquote uh correctly or up to the standard that you want them to be able to do it to isn't going to make them do it any better and I think that's something that a lot of people don't really seem to understand or if they do understand it they don't really give a [ __ ] which is not great but it is what it
