I've always found Toph's attitude towards her handicap to be pretty refreshing and it's something I wish we saw more of in fiction.
It's not super apparent in this video but one of the reasons Toph's so nonchalant about her blindness is because otherwise she's a complete bad ass who, besides a few scenarios, is completely unimpeded by her blindness and has fought her whole life to not be coddled.
I know she hits a lot of the cliche tropes for blind characters but I'm curious how people who are actually blind feel about the character.
Now I have to watch this show.

I've seen all sorts of videos and reviews of this show, but for some reason these clips make me want to watch it more than anything.
