hey guys who are blind wave I'm Eric Rick I'm Calvin Aaron and we're here with the new movie reaction this is top gun Maverick ah yeah I thought this was about cards it's not it's about Tom Cruise and his ego right after Ally I don't think that's what it's about right up your ass I think it's about flying planes it's a sequel to a movie that I just recently watched and you can find that reaction right here on YouTube as well and I had a great time with its limited soundtrack it's tongue scene that affected me greatly I understand what's your problem with that and one of the best movie relationships I've ever seen have you guys ever looked like tension a girl's chin oh yeah I have just not like a creeping I don't know how much they hate we made in front of millions there was no one else in that bedroom he two people they filmed that no one people are gonna watch this and think it's weird and you watched it like a pervert I did see there's a problem gross because of him no it's it's like when someone makes you see something that you didn't want to see like they send you an unwanted dick pic or like you watching a Tom Cruise movie yeah in front of millions or watch it or like when you made me watch a needle thing with Rick's knee oh follow some technologies for all the great stuff uh so we're gonna be checking out this movie going right into it uh there is a full-length the veterans the pilots you know there are no more veterans yeah that's not a bad thing he flew there I guess yeah I don't know when they get hacked and someone just takes up all our ships this is exactly what happened in the first movie it is no no no just with better shots it looks the same hello oh come on 50 years older yeah he looks like he's 38. no he's got a good tank no he doesn't I'm beat him right in in the same ship in the same generation one way to fly this mission they really don't get it on this Mission a man flies like Maverick here or a man does not come back no offense intended somehow you always manage I like Bob I can't be the only one that knows that Maverick flew with his old man that's enough for the Maverick was flying with his old man that's enough that's come back like 30 years later and I'm like you know what I've enjoyed this there's a Ghostbusters after life I really enjoyed yeah there's this one here but we also watched Independence Day sure I mean I mean saying not saying they're all winners I'm saying like there's been some ones that I'm like I like that how these turned out overall it has been worth it I think it's uh not an easy thing to do if you're gonna do it you gotta do it better than they did it sure well this one also had like they did it better than they did Direction with the mission whereas like I don't feel like Top Gun itself necessarily had like a direction it was like you're in a class the biggest right so this is like we've taken everyone from the top gun classes you are the best ones and you're doing a special Mission and that's what they're going for here as opposed to before it was just like who's the best pilot let's just have some things and then they actually have anything that they have to do but it wasn't like they were gearing towards that mission they're the best of the last of their kind too right sure like this is a very like end of the line kind of movie where yeah you're looking at the idea of man versus unmanned and all that and yeah like Ed Harris is like you guys aren't gonna be around much longer We're not gonna need you your kind of people if you get to the point where you're having a dog fight like there's been some kind of breakdown in the mission to put you in that position right right like either you didn't prepare or you know your strikes weren't accurate or something like that to prepare for safe uh flying through there it's usually in and out yeah preferably you want to go in take out the Target and get out of there yeah or like what Maverick was saying in this you know they've been flying high altitude missions dropping bombs they haven't been dogfighting you know yeah that's just the way it's going now because bombs are so much more accurate than it used to be and a lot of those targets that you're hitting and stuff like they might be important military targets but they might also not be defended by like fighter pilots sure they might have like surface air missiles that are around it to protect it from that kind of stuff but they don't have like a Runway prepared sure take off or anything just depends on the target I guess when I was growing up I had an uncle that worked in the Air Force and every we always thought it was a joke but every time he would be like what are you working on he's a scientist to be like can't tell you not allowed and then like I don't know 15 years later after you know kind of you know just he'll ever tell us anything he's like all right it's Declassified he worked on the lasers that guided those Precision bunker missiles Jesus that stuff is scary but this uh like I said I think that stuff like this only works if you can do it better than they did it right like Aladdin is fine but is it better than the cartoon like in terms of like everything it shows and performance and stuff like I don't know but this in almost every way with the fight combat is just better if only because I can keep track of where everybody is in 3D space whereas the first one I kind of had a problem with that it was beautiful yes but I had a hard time being like okay I don't know exactly where they are and where they are you know most of that too was also just kind of like like in the final fight of this one it's like they're they're just above the water in the air there's also nothing around to really kind of like there's no landmarks to actually Place relation to where the planes are and where the ground was or like and you're doing quick shots of individual crafts and stuff and putting them together in an edit probably rather than this one I feel like they're giving some time to breathe and you're seeing all four of them lining up behind each other yeah whatever they intend for you to know like usually like in stuff like that last one they don't want you to know what's happening right they need to keep that tension up but when they want you to know you can literally see the other fighters in their complex and then when you go when we go to the next one we don't break the 180 degree rule like they're following very simple editing guidelines guidelines yeah but for real in the air yeah where the first one they only got a few times that they could actually film a jet in the air so they took advantage and they got as many shots of that one jet flying for 10 minutes that they could to the point where the Navy did an investigation to find out where like where they got a plane to fly this maneuver because they didn't realize how much coverage that they got of that one plane gotcha they were like wait a minute they had two planes up in the air you can see the other one in this shot right here find that plane but this one they just they got so much there's a lot I feel like there's a lot more flight combat and everything in this one in general yeah I mean that's solely on the back of Tom Cruise as an executive producer that can like demand that that level of that standard that's just what he does okay he he designed a three-month training program for each of the actors that would be flying and they were up in the air for like six hours a day that's awesome filming they were doing their own like camera work their lighting their makeup we're having to remember their lines and their eye lines yeah like okay the plane is beside me over here talking that direction sure yeah that's uh that's so important to like to keep organized right and yeah your continuity supervisor is not in the plane beside you being like look left like the problem is because they didn't have a live feed to the ground yeah they would have to wait until they landed to see any of the footage all right how did it make Corrections for the next day yeah what should I do differently yeah and then remember all that for the next day yeah apparently three of the six actors that were the pilots threw up every single day that they were in the plane yep that sucks that's not supposed to do that millions of years of evolution say no don't do that but now as far as the fight stuff too like there was some shots that were just great and like some of the methods I really love uh Maverick doing the same movie used to get behind rooster during the training but deploying flares to get one missile and then taking the hit of the other missile like I just love that that was a great move yeah I thought that was great I also really love him taking out the two fifth generation Fighters where he like surprise attack the one yeah but then use that falling ship the falling plane to like hit the other missile and stuff I was like oh that's so cool I love that my favorite stuff is just to like the stuff that's so hard to do in visual effects it's just easier and cheaper to go do it for reals you know like uh especially the one shot right before they started the mission and they have like the three Fighters going past or past the river and it's just like there's something about the way the heat moves that like that type of stuff is just so hard to get right but us you know we just like when you see it you recognize if it's real or not and that it was just real really blew my mind the shots yeah the coordination the the camera work if you up the stress of up the shot and they have to do it again you know so much money so much I really like uh Maverick taking off from the carrier that shot was really good like it just stayed in the cockpit as he took off it looks just keep it a little bit longer yeah they didn't do it with anyone else just with uh Maverick but it looked really cool I love that I will say there's a lot of great moments but that little kid that's like Earth where am I well that was so good and when we were talking about him thinking I'm like how far when if he's trying to go mach 10 how far is he going you know like the speed you're going like where is he I don't know where he's starting off and taking off right yeah right and he like ramped up to that so he's been gone for a bit Yeah like and I said you can't just do that in a circle yeah no like he did a turn but that turn also like the it looked really sharp from the one angle but then when it zoomed back it didn't look quite as sharp you know like it probably took him like five seconds to do what Lewis and Clark did and how long two years yeah you know well sure if he's going over 6 000 miles an hour it's crazy I uh didn't I I didn't really care about the love interest stuff that much no no I mean everything else was so not Nostalgia fuel but so like pointing at like a certain feeling that that one I was just kind of like okay probably wasn't bad I just felt like it was there because you have to have one it felt like yeah I think that's the perfect way to put it it felt like it was there because you had to have one I suppose so it felt like there was something here and like it's always been his flight like he's never stayed somewhere to be grounded he never had a wife you never had kids you know all that kind of stuff that rooster talked about and I feel like it's kind of pushing towards like I guess so this is where we're going with you instead of him being such a he's out there loose cannoning and whatnot like I really love by the end of it like sure he's there with the girl and the the daughter or whatever but Rooster's there and like they're like fixing the plane together and stuff like that it's a relationship that I I care about yeah it reflects the the Father the idea that he was like I wanted to be a father for him when because he lost his and I mean I couldn't be there that was just so powerful that whenever like you know she's not there she's on a cell trip like I felt nothing I was like oh what's up you know sure but like compared to all the other relationships that he has even the John Hamlin like there's an arc whereas like here it's like they like each other they like each other and she's there ah she is there to like each other sure I know I get what you mean I think there's some different ways you could go about it yeah but I think it just reflects that like why wasn't he there to be a father for rooster you know sure like I imagine his mom took care of him and he was off doing whatever he was doing yeah bouncing around from place to place getting kicked out not getting kicked out getting saved by Iceman and all that kind of stuff so I think it's supposed to be an analogy for him like calming down a little bit suddenly yeah letting go like what Val Kilmer said right sure letting down letting it go idea so I get what you mean maybe there could have been more of a growth but we also don't know that lady at all so like I don't know what growth they did have sure you know I mean there was a history there that we just didn't really get to know gotcha so I don't know but I really enjoyed uh I really enjoyed a lot of the rooster stuff like I like the idea that you know his mom didn't want him to fly which I understand that makes sense yep but the fact that he took the papers like his mom died he pulled his paper so that he wouldn't be able to fly he set him back yeah and he didn't want to tell him that the reason was that his wife or his mom told him not to like don't let him fly he took the brunt and then he didn't want his him to also resent his mother so he just let him resent him the whole time and I'm like man I really I really like that that good white lie yeah yeah he's like I'm I know that he's gonna hate me for this there's no point in him hating me and hating his mom too yeah so I like that a lot and then there was something about I don't know I don't know how much to read into it or whatnot but um when Rooster's going too slow and they need to go faster and he's like the whole movie you have like talk to me Goose talk to me goose and I keep doing that and then he goes talk to me Dad and then right after you have maverick say Come On Son you can do this you know just do this kid whatever the line was and I was like oh I like that it's like he wants to be a father for him he says talk to me dad but I'm assuming he hears Maverick Sports being like you can do this I felt that you know and I was like oh that's really cool I like that yeah but then later on he's like Dad what do you want me to save you and I'm like ah but there's Dad and then there's this guy who could be Dad too kind of in a way you know like two fathers and yeah anyway I liked a lot of that not really good the rooster stuff I think was done really well it was so it doesn't look good I think by the end of it I might have had a little tiny bit of like yeah I'm glad but like I get it like you know like there was like one or two extra shots where they were like remember Goose I'm like yeah I think it's sad but it's also happy I'm like yeah it might happen like one too many times for me I feel like I didn't need the flashback yeah well I mean maybe I also just watch it I feel like the pictures in the locker yeah and then the pictures next to the plane and stuff like that I feel like that was enough yeah sure but I think for the average viewer yeah I think for the youngest want to make sure yeah you know right because I think you can be like oh I can tell that that's that was his wingman you know this Goose guy and then he's doing that but then understanding more of the death that they were flying together when he died and that you know they kind of talk about him feeling guilty and stuff yeah I see a little bit more of it where if you don't see it the conversation that I think it was I think John Hammond him had about it I think it's who it was when it was talking about like the the death of him like you still be on yourself or you know what does rooster blame you know who does he blame for it like that kind of conversation like you don't really know what happens until you kind of see that moment there no I thought that was all great it's just like maybe like the final one where you saw the picture again where I was like I've already felt this feeling like 10 times we don't need to do it again but it was still good you know and maybe that was just offset by me having no feeling for like oh she showed up with a car sweet is that plane they're fixing up at the end meaningful in some way was that in the first movie not that I remember I I know it's his like Tom Cruise's yeah actual place like he owns that yeah it stands for Lady Gaga I don't know he just said algae on the side I don't know yeah it's just uh tail number it's license plate planes I just I just like that they included Val Kilmer into this you know I think they made a way to make things work out and everything like I know like he had like a stroke right and hasn't been doing well and stuff so like they give a reason to why like he does speak some but he has trouble speaking and they give a reason for that not exactly but enough of one well he he has throat cancer sure I mean in the movie yeah no they don't give you like they implied he had cancer there's something he said it hurts and all that like there's something there yeah you can assume whatever it is but I like that they give this a reason but still make sure to try to include them into it oh yeah even doing the typing and the texting thing where it's like I feel like in some movies they were just like no let's not do that they're like let's include I said let's have him involved in this it was just that scene between those two like you know they talk about how true Masters they show their Mastery when they don't have enough of something versus when they have too much of something like he just can just emote you know it's like Ken wanabi and The Last Samurai he has that entire scene where he doesn't speak you know I've had the same thing here I almost when he spoke I almost like that was great but I was more impressed when he didn't you know I liked when he was like uh I want to talk about work yeah because I don't know like you know what what do you want me here for yeah you know like I just typed it that's what I want to do it was great and I love the way they ended it with the who's the better flyer though who's the better pilot and stuff sure the death scene was sad not the death scene but I guess the funeral funeral stamping that those wings in there I don't know I like that a lot yeah apparently they used like some kind of AI to like mimic and rebuild lines from an interview that he did from a long time ago for the the scenes where he was speaking because he wasn't able to yeah so he just kind of like meld it and they put it in there and stuff so it's really cool that he he got to dub his own voice sure yeah I'm not sure exactly of like what condition he has been in lately or anything and then like whenever like the credits had said Val Kilmer I'm like well to what extent are they just crediting him and they use a likeness you know like there's definitely digital ways of doing things there's if he's just there as a picture and it's like we use his likeness in a picture and then we're texting and using him that way I wasn't sure what exactly it was going to be so Bank of school they was able to utilize them and I saw him in a movie recently called like snowman or something and he had to be dubbed in that movie as well really whenever you know it he he takes the hit for the kid and he's going down there's a part of me that's like okay they they're gonna kill him this is it and then whenever you realize oh they're not doing that they're gonna go get him there's a party that was like okay maybe I would have liked it more if they if he actually did pass away but by the time I got to the end I was like the I'm glad he's alive I'm glad yeah because yeah that was great I love that he gets into the old and then goes fights the new so they already were like Hey we're like here and here and then they're like actually chatsu versus Napa now sure and it's 2V1 yeah it is 2V1 that was great that was a really good way to do power scaling for planes that anyone can understand sure no I enjoyed that I also liked whenever like rooster came back to save him and then he got shot down of course but yeah uh I like him he's like what are you doing here why I saved you it's like like you told me not to think he's like what do you want I didn't think I came and did this yeah I just thought what are you thinking I wasn't yeah I figured with like dwelling on the goose stuff and um The Iceman like passing away I figured we were gonna get a happy ending sure I get you I wasn't sure they like whenever they I thought about it then they kept like kind of shedding more light on it and like are they toying with me where I should be expecting him to die or are they pushing that so that when he doesn't die you know like what way are we going with it even him saying I bought a Honda in a way you know yeah I mean it could have been a way where it's like the greatest pilot dies at in the last mission of this this manned fighter pilots right it would have been great yeah like the ones he fought against run man oh yeah like a John Henderson Henry versus the machine robots that'll be great that would be kind of cool yeah these unmanned drones are going to come after you but then they wouldn't have flown up and been like yeah you know doing all this stuff but they might have been confused by the the ship being there I guess the plane flying sure because that was an enemy plane I guess Xbox controller machine would have just assumed that it was one of you know a friend yeah Friend or Foe but yeah Aaron you had what you would do instead is you show the guy back in Russia that has an Xbox controller and a headset being like looking at it you know I suppose yeah you wag your finger a lot you do no I don't think I've ever done that in my life yeah you know watch Seinfeld huh you've never never understand you never pretend to be Raiden not like that no I like the inclusion of the uh the bird strike yeah well especially after just having the one situation you're like oh man that was close and I was like oh you know and I'm like don't kill more people what's happening I know it's dangerous but I don't want to die it's training right now yeah but it's just you know it's not even just the editing and the way it's shot like the writing like forces you to think about how high are they how low are they sure you know these you know centuries can get you so you're always in your head you're thinking about how dangerous it is like all of that stuff came together to really like make you understand three-dimensional space in a way that if you're not one of these guys you really don't understand it well and you show them failing a thousand times exactly sure yeah I think having the even the hard deck stuff was more understandable here yeah and they showed more of the uh uh altimeter like how high they are off like they're showing it dwindle whereas in the first one I don't think they showed that they just said he went under the hard deck and then he went under the hard deck too and got him and it's like you want another hard deck you shouldn't do that you know it just there was no well it's also they just kind of show with digital displays a lot of this stuff too sure like you can see a number you know bright light in a second sure compared to some of the older planes where you've got like these gauges still digital can an F-14 yeah can you not just take that gauge out then and just shoot just that gauge going you know I don't know maybe sure you can bake it right yeah they think sure X wings and Star Destroyers and Rick I'm sure you can fake it just a little gauge man don't you want a rogue Squad in a movie after watching this I do are they still doing it they keep canceling what are they doing now it's shelved and taken off the schedule they saw this and it's like we can't can't do that it's over uh number playing movies do you think Bob stood for anything at all or is it just Bop this is Robert because I like the conversation there and I was like man I hope it does stand for something but then he said baby I'm bored like hang man though I loved Hangman's like the way his call sign was on his helmet yeah he's missing each was was the hva uh there was something missing here and still missing here and I was like I love that as an idea I think it's so cool yeah hang man with a and a missing which is stupid because you would start with the vowels you would so it really sucks yeah but maybe it's Wheel of Fortune and you gotta get the money first yeah that you know that costs money it makes sense exactly of course it isn't wheel but the fouls they're the cheapest they'll come get you I'd say Jack he'll whoop your ass yeah you think Mavericks dude I did think they were just gonna be more of a manned versus unmanned theme me too um and Ed Harris wasn't in this movie very long no he was not he was kind of disappointed he was in the opening credits of that and the the whole class was in it much more than he was I mean payback and well do you think that it would have been too much like if you know if you make a chess movie about a man beating a computer but you're gonna be like well that doesn't you can't you can't beat it yeah I don't know like I I kind of like how subtle it was but I feel like it needed just a little bit more of that storyline because like I get the analogy of like well you know this is the end of the line for Tom Cruise is the last character so like it's also the end of the line for just his like that character in general especially because Iceman is gone now right it's true yeah I mean Jon Hamm might be like yeah he's good sure they're never gonna put him in a plane again I'm not court-martially yet but like having more of that man on man like that storyline bit you would have liked more is that you're saying I don't know maybe like I felt like the story was fine and it was a framework for the awesome awesome action yeah but like I feel like maybe it could have been a little more clever in spots but a Top Gun it's Top Gun I mean it doesn't really need to be I think that you could you know some of the same criticism that people have of the force awakens to Star Wars you could level at this and mean like it's practically the same thing except the Next Generation you know sure yeah like to the point where like they have you know Tom Cruise you're being sent to Top Gun and then he's do you see a fighter jet take off and then land and then he rides on the motorcycle exact same shots you know just better I think I like this one better than the original though me too I mean I think I did Target but I don't think that you're I don't think it hits the same if you don't watch the first one definitely you know what I mean yeah which is one of those things like I think I think Ghostbusters afterlife does well if you've watched the other Ghostbusters movies I don't think I don't think it might hit is the same if you don't you know where you don't understand what's going on well yeah franchise and stuff you know on its own though maybe it is good I don't know you know that's the thing like you want to make you want to make these movies of today that are based on movies from 30 40 years ago but you want them to also be able to resonate where these kids that grew up in today's age didn't watch those movies still can understand and like since I've been an adult I don't think I've seen movies out of order but as a kid yeah like I saw Terminator too before I saw Charlie I did too saw aliens before I saw alien I didn't I might have I know I saw two before I saw one of Terminator think of any movies that I can remember short circuits um I saw Star Wars episode four before I saw Star Wars episode one I mean sure but that's I did yeah am I wrong you're gonna tell me I'm wrong bro yeah he has seen it now yeah I've seen it my dad has seen three movies in theaters in my lifetime let me yes I would say this is one so this is one this is one and you mentioned another one earlier twister with Helen Hunt yeah with Helen you saw that in theaters Bill Bixby so he's a hella hot fan he well yeah he just wanted to see it he was like every decade would be like I want to see this movie what else is hello twister map he didn't see the first time you got I don't know if you go to I think I might have mentioned before but the only other movie he's gone to see was when I was insisting like I need to go see this movie and was it my mom forced him to take was it Lord of the Rings no it wasn't Lord of the Rings because he watched that on TV he's like there's two more of these moving that was well after they were already out so I would go with either he'd be young I don't think it's Star Wars I think he would have other people using that I would go with how young would you man I'm gonna go with the Lion King I can tell you exactly how young I was The Lion King we'll go with like a Disney I don't think it's animated was it animated Eric nope damn he would not have gone right like your mom made him I was like yeah it's probably an animated movie is it in the two it is not the 90s yeah because I was gonna go for Harry Potter but I'm like I don't know I think he's too old for that one like Eric would have been too old something younger um Dragonheart no and he cried Water World a lot of world was earlier I know it was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 the Secret what do you think 1991. one of the first movies I went to and it's one of the last movies he saw especially oh yeah I'll pay money to see that reaction I was just super super young I was with him watching that movie so I was gonna say you were like four yeah but I remember I remember going watching it I remember going to Hills after and begging for a Ninja Turtle action figure I got it that's weird yeah I don't I don't I don't know if I remember the first movie that I ever saw what if it's one of the three your father went to sure the one I have the oldest memory of seeing yeah was the sixth Halloween movie which I think is weird because I would have been like seven yeah or so when it came out and I'm like man did I see that in theaters I don't even really remember it I remember remembering it's like one of those memories where like it's only through the retelling of the story that I even remember it I remember and I don't remember that movie I've been wanting to rewatch that one the only thing I remember is a guy standing in like an Alleyway looking area with like tall buildings and just be like Michael like yelling for him and stuff and I don't know if that was the end the middle I just I have that Vision in my head of that and I remember for some reason what I believe to be a window in a movie theater I don't know why but as a kid I believe there's a window in a wall right next to where I was sitting and Michael was gonna come out that window and give me I don't know what it was it couldn't have been a window it makes no sense well most windows are in walls well yeah but I don't know what else it would have been it wouldn't have been a winner that makes no sense for a movie theater but it wasn't that it was probably like this big yeah maybe it was uh imagine him trying to get to it one of the little viewing windows in the door maybe like it reminds me of like a like a projection windows but it would have been not in the wall of the projector behind you next to me next to my seats there's no door there so I don't know it was weird that's my memory I was more of a parking garage that day I don't know what theater we went to I have no idea the only those are all weird numbers the only theater near a parking garage that I know of is down in Charleston the one I thought of was like south side but I don't remember a theater over there ever no not for me South Side Parkersburg yeah it's like a Parker there was like a two dollar theater around here a parking garage that's what I'm saying fuel like Athens doesn't have a parking garage right no I don't remember any even nothing so anyway that's my earliest memory of a movie gotcha okay now I'm just thinking of Michael Myers and like a plane coming at you you know it's like slower than yours but he's still catching them ah all right well this was a lot of fun I can see why so many people uh loved it and shared it because it was it was I'll never watch it for the first time again that was amazing yeah some of those shots were amazing I like all the fighting the fighter pilot stuff I thought was really good yeah I enjoyed all the training stuff I I also really enjoy him just being like I've been grounded what do I do how do I get to these how do I reach these kids yeah you know what kind of thing I know it's been grounded you cannot fly I'm gonna go fly yeah like the movie's fine it's like a seven but I feel like just it in terms of showing me something I've never seen before it's a 10. yeah oh sure it's like my avatar was for a lot of people yeah I think that makes sense I guess I can see that like when I watched it it wasn't like anything special yes and you see you watch it I've seen tons yeah but no I get that like I don't I've seen stealth and I've seen the first Top Gun and I've seen I don't know whatever other things that I've had Fighters have stove really yeah I haven't seen stealth but I've seen Blue Thunder stealth isn't I wouldn't say it's great but it does it definitely covers the idea of like a unmanned versus Man pilots and that's kind of the idea okay so but uh but yeah I just some of the stuff they did in this was just really really good I think it was better than a lot of the modern fighter pilot stuff I've seen before oh yeah oh yeah definitely I mean is there a close second practical I'm trying to think what I'm trying to think of what the close second would be you know I don't know I'm like I love Smart Cats just like with the real like ships and like the planes really looking like like just good shots not being CGI not being like God at CGI I mean it's much different obviously but there's some old like Howard Hughes movies and stuff where they have those planes just going out hundreds of reasons yeah super dangerous but it doesn't look like that just like the the true sense of speed that you can only get by going that fast is sure it's like it's like a magic trick like it doesn't even look real to me but I know it's real yeah like there's some stuff where you can be like wow back when what's his name is it Buster Keaton where he's like right in the front of a train throwing pieces of wood at other pieces of wood to knock him off the train tracks and but it's like well he's really doing it that's really dangerous to me yeah no that all that is real but like like there's definitely like those kind of things where it's like there's this is real real planes and whatever but I don't know there's something about this was just much more but that's crazy the things those two actors have in common is like Tom Cruise is famous enough and he has to be executive producer so that he can tell the insurance company he is doing the stunts yeah I'm doing this whereas Buster Keating ain't giving they didn't care they didn't know you know he's just like I'm gonna throw this sticker to that stick and if I don't I die yeah underneath the train oh man yeah I wonder like if we ever get another Tom Cruise who could make this movie like who is there any other actors that are more online with like what Tom Cruise does was like crazy enough to want to do it for real yeah I get what you mean there's that but there's also the idea that like the Blockbuster doesn't have the same sway as it used to right because now you have streaming and you have all these other avenues of the celebrity sure so like the pure the pure movie star is kind of diminished a bit I go what you mean like there's there's also visual effects and just movie making in general has gotten cheaper to where lots of people can do it right so there's tons of people that will go as far as they can for their craft probably yeah but they might have the money behind them either so I don't know I don't know who else gonna just get those subscription Services you have your movie for a little bit then you take it off yeah you can write it off it's a dark it's a dark world we live in it's a dark world but there's some bright spots like Maverick guys thank
