Top 8 Earth Federation Aces of the One Year War

[Music] hey everyone Kakarot 197 again in today's video we'll be having a look at the top eight aces of the Federation an important thing to remember is that this list is purely based on numbers and not on their skill or how much I or the community like them so what makes an ace an ace first invented in 1915 the title ace or us in French was bestowed upon pilots who scored five aerial victories with a Frenchman Adolphe Big O becoming the first ever us with the advent of mobile suits the main focus was now on Mobile Suit aces rather than fighter pilot aces kicking it off with the Federation's number eight ace second lieutenant Delos Hanover scoring 32 Mobile Suit kills with nothing more than the vanilla gym on November 15th universal century double-o 79 he was part of a task force that scouted the Solomon seat and side ones Shoals owned the main force of this task force consistent of the Magellan class oval and the Salamis class Java number seven is first lieutenant Hines bear scoring 37 mobile suits and to ship kills with easeful armored Gundam at Ababa Q he would face off against Zeon ace pilot joyridin twice the first time he badly damaged Johnny ridings gelgoog high mobility type forcing the ladder to retreat the second time Hines would not be so successful Ryden had switched back to his Olin trustees a core to high mobility type r2 this time Ryden won the battle which was immortalized on full armor Gundams master grade box art heinz bear was killed in action on December 31st universal century double-o 79 oddly enough other sources claim that the full armor Gundam was scrapped while still in the development phase because the additional armor would result in an unacceptable loss of mobility hence according to these sources the full armor Gundam was never to be built number 6 is lieutenant colonel franklin Novotny scoring 43 mobile suit and one ship kill with his jim command space type on this number thirty first you would use this machine to great effect during the Battle of a bow a coup number five is ensign LAN Co scoring forty three mobile suit and three ship kills wit his gym sniper accustomed he was an excellent pilot with a knack for sniping a skill he utilized on December 5th when he raided a Zeon transport fleet heading to Solomon passing through side five better known as loom later he also participated in the capture of Solomon number four is first lieutenant Charles kissing him scoring fifty two mobile suit and to ship kills with nothing more than the vanilla Jim proving that piloting skills matter way more than the suit you're using on December 30th he participated in the defense of Luna 2 from a Zeon fleet from Salomon number three is major Lyda wolf scoring 68 mobile suit and four ship kills with his Jim cannon gun cannon mass production type and Jim sniper - just ask so many Federation pilots he started out as a fighter pilot by became a Mobile Suit pilot once he had the chance shooting down 21 mobile suits over the span of only one week in Africa combined with his personal color being black quickly earned him the nickname dancing black death other than the color another trademark of flight a wolf was his beam rifle bearing an uncanny resemblance to the beam rifle used by the chakra Shiki during the grips war unfortunately the dancing black death was not invincible he was killed in action on December 31st universal century w 79 at a bow a cue he boasts humorously received a to rank promotion number two is second lieutenant Amuro ray scoring 142 mobile suit and 9 ship kills with his rx-78 gundam AMRO and his gundam would quickly catch the eye of both friend and foe with their incredible performance while ro was not the all-time top scoring a so the federation he was their top ship ace in addition to being their first ace he managed to achieve this within only days of becoming the Federation's first official Mobile Suit pilot in active combat what is Gundam Amuro ray would participate in all three major offensives at the end of the one year war operation Odessa the Battle of Solomon and finally the Battle of about ku for this last battle the rx-7 t2s joins had to be upgraded with the magnetic coating tested by the rx-78 3g three gundam because armor skills had progressed so far that the arcs of need to gun them could simply no longer handle them this de facto upgrade arose rx-78 - - an rx-7 gate 3 Amuro would survive the war but with his new type abilities being considered dangerous by a federation he withdrew from active duty and became a Mobile Suit instructor instead finally the Federation's ace of aces is major tennis AE young scoring 149 mobile suit and three ship kills with his Jim command space type and Jim sniper custom because of his excellent combat record surpassing that of even the legendary armor array and because of his long-range combat skills it was rumored that Young was also a new type during the war he was assigned to the 7th sniper unit with his personal emblem bearing a hammerhead shark he also faced off against Zeon ace pilot Braniff Boggs finally the honorable mention for the federation goes to texan dmitri who flew a fly manta bomber an a-10 Cod fighter during his career in which he racked up 301 fighter kills 51 kills short of all time fighter ace Erik Hartman 34 of these skills were achieved during Operation Edessa along well he didn't shoot down any mobile suits this certainly was an incredible feat which was only matched by a success with the ladies dubbed the lady killer he published a best-selling autobiography fittingly named Knight of the sky presumably it sold really well with the ladies and there you have it the Federation's all-time top aces of the one year war I hope that you learned something new from this video I sure did well doing the research so be sure stay tuned for next time when I have a look at the top 8z on Asus but if you need some more Gundam lore right now I've got a series for that link down below and on-screen see you all next time [Music] you
