Top 5 Hard Unlocks in The Binding of Isaac: Repentance

hey everyone Delph here this video will cover top 5 hard unlocks these are unlocks with some of the more difficult characters or just are from challenges or other sources these items are some of the strongest in the game and so I would not sleep on them number one we have keeper sack this item can be unlocked by beating mother as the keeper what this item does is it gives you stats every time you buy something for coins it's pretty likely you'll get a damage up every time you buy something and best of all this item appears in shop pool meaning it's relatively common this is possibly the best shop item in the game and if you get it early enough and have enough coins this item can carry runs almost entirely on its own okay so next at number two we have the soul which can be unlocked by defeating the lamb as the lost this item gives you two Soul hearts and causes you to slightly repel bullets extremely useful against most bosses and it can appear in Angel rooms and item rooms next at number three we have Birthright this can be unlocked by beating blue baby as Jacob and Esau this is another super crazy item appearing in the shop pool it has various super powerful effects depending on on the character who picks it up for example it gives Isaac a choice between two different items in every pedestal this is more or less a must-have item on every single character and since it appears in the shop it isn't exactly super rare okay next up at number four an item that's surprisingly likely to impact runs is the stopwatch unlocked by donating 999 coins to the donation machine which could take you a while if you're playing normally but it's well worth it as uh as it slows down enemies and bullets slightly as well as gives you a speed boost and finally at number five we have Damocles all it does is double pedestals the catch of course is that after you get hit there will always be a tiny chance that the sword Falls instantly killing you the way to use this item is basically just to start speedrunning once you get it okay and for the honorable mention we have epic fetus this one can be unlocked by beating Challenge number 19 family man the item itself is probably the best explosive based item in the entire game and does extremely high damage while allowing you to dodge honestly of these items this one is probably the first one you should unlock okay so that's the top five hard unlocks the point here is that you might find these to be a little tougher to complete than the easy unlocks list but these are still definitely worth unlocking if you're curious why items like godhead and rock bottom aren't on this list it's because actually obtaining those are infrequent enough that they are unlikely to influence runs at all thanks for watching
