Top 5 Front Flippers

hey what's up youtube this is blade banker hope everybody is doing well out there tonight hope my friends and family of the youtube world are killing it tonight uh first and foremost today is september 10th if you're watching this video after or whenever tomorrow is september 11th don't forget about that day man that was a horrific day in our nation's history and should never be forgotten especially the people that sacrificed so we could still be here and that kicked off a lot of things that are still happening to this day so much respect to anybody that serves our country uh whether it be in the military or the emergency services thank you so much i am forever indebted to you now what are we going to talk about tonight i love doing these top five things we're going to do the top five front flippers out of my collection remember this is just my opinion you don't have to take it to heart you don't have to get upset about it it's just my opinion if you want to uh debate about it i don't do a lot of debate in the comments because i just don't have the time but love to hear your opinion it doesn't matter if it disagrees with mine just be respectful and and how you approach that um what i am not going to do is these are front flippers that were designed as front flippers okay there's a lot of knives like let's see what can i think about the top of my head the spartan harshi folder that you can front flip um the spyderco ppt is pretty easy to front flip uh spyderco shaman is one that you can front flip so i'm not talking about any of those my shin o'connell knives you can front flip all of them wasn't intended that's just how they were built so these are intended to be front flippers so i want to make that very very clear i've got five and two honorable mentions and we're gonna fly through them because i'm not going to give you a lot of detail about them i'm just going to show you them and move on to the next one so let's get going bam all right folks as i mentioned tonight we're talking about shadow born hanks i'm kidding but if you don't have a handkerchief from shadow born hanks hit jd up i'll put his uh instagram in here that way y'all can hit him up i just had a couple sitting out and i always use them to set my knives on and whatnot and he does so such good work so y'all hit him up with uh everything i'll put it in the description and in the video so in in reality tonight we were talking about front flippers and we were talking about my top five from my collection i have a lot of front flippers probably oh if i had to guess i'd say 25 to 35 somewhere in there which doesn't sound like a lot but to me that's a lot of front flippers so i'm going from my least favorite to my most favorite i got two honorable mentions and we'll start at number five and number five is the brown exponent i am not sure which numbered this one is but this is an awesome awesome front flipper sorry my fingers are getting stuck um this thing has such smooth wicked action watch how it just drops boop just rolls over i mean it is so so smooth it's got a full titanium frame 154cm blade steel uh works just fine with me this thing if you don't get your finger out of the way it goes all the way down pretty outrageous front flipper i love it love it love it i always have but there are more that i like better so let's move on to number four number four is a giant arnold but probably not the one you're thinking about not the mafuda this is the mini simba this one is a cool knife too it's rocking that milled titanium pocket clip with a little anodization on it it is rocking a m390 blade with the ikbs bearing system it's got micarta with oak burl inlays just a really really cool knife it is super duper smooth as well i mean just a little bit of a flick the the front flipper on it can easily be used by the index finger to get it out it's actually a lot easier using the index finger than the thumb they're both fairly easy but this one is more on top of it than anything else so this is number four and it's a great one it's it's i've got another john arnold that y'all have probably seen before it's called the mafuda yes uh and it's a big bulky dude but um this one has taken my heart over the other one so let's move on to number three number three is a well-known one this is the enrique pena custom moolah and it is an awesome front flipper very easy to work very slim and sleek like i like no uh fanciness on this knife it just gets right to the point this is a knife that's made to be a knife it's not the smoothest of them but it comes out with wicked force i mean wicked force really really good knife i wish the pocket clip was a little deeper i do love the hand rub satin finish on the blade it's just uh this one is also 154cm or cpm154 i can't remember which i got this one in a great deal and i'm very glad to have it in my collection um so well hit my hand on the table so this is number three and it's the enrique pina mula so now going to number two number two is just one that gets me this is the olamic busker and this one is with the largo blade the busker comes in four different blade types this one happens to be the the largo it almost looks like a sheep's foot and then it's got a big curve to the blade it kind of flows from end to end has this really artistic flow you can see the flame anodization on the uh show side and on the lock side this is a frame lock also got the flame anodization on the pocket clip the pocket clip has a ceramic ball so it slides in and out of the pocket very very easily this knife supposedly can be opened 10 different ways i can do about seven but i have not never gotten all 10 but it's really designed to be a front flipper and it and it comes out with really good force this one uh is also rocking m390 blade steel and great knife i think olympic does a very very good job with their stuff so now let's talk about some honorable mentions the first honorable mention would be the custom knife factory 520 not the big boy this one's the 20. this is a great great knife i mean it really is it's got nice shred carbon fiber it's got some titanium bolsters it's got titanium liners and then it has a m3 yes m390 blade that has a hand rub satin finish on it it is just that milled pocket clip everything just goes together so well it's a smooth knife not as smooth as a lot of them that you'll see but this thing will drop very freely um this knife i have not had for a long long time well i mean i've had it for about six months or so but this is just a good knife i have two or three knives from custom knife factory and i'm gonna tell you what they might as well be customs because i know they make certain batches but um they all have a custom feel i am very familiar matter of fact all of them but the olamic busker i just showed you have been customs and the final two are also customs so this is a outstanding knife so that's my first honorable mention honorable mention number two look at this pretty bad boy this is an andre thorburn l-45 right yes l45 this one is designed as a front flipper as well it's got damaged steel blade beautiful blade design it's got damascus bolsters and then it's got shred carbon fiber as the handle material it is a liner lock it's got uh titanium anodized titanium liners look at that millwork on the back oh to die for it's also got a ceramic ball to slide in and out of your pocket very very easily this is riding on ikbs system so super duper smooth as you can see when i just push in that liner it just closes with such such ease this one too can be operated very easily with the index finger or the pointer or the thumb whichever one feels more comfortable to you so that is my second honorable mention and now let's get down to the first my favorite front flipper it's really the one that did it for me i've had this knife for a long time and i was kind of on the edge about front flippers and this one really did it's another andre thorburn this one is an l28 and uh it's just so good it's so smooth it's got an m390 blade it again is running on ikbs it's got silver strike carbon fiber which is really really sweet and it has engraved zirconium bolsters this knife is not light it's also got anodized liners titanium liners and look at the mill work again he does such cool patterns on the spine of his knives not the spine of the blade the spine of the handle it's got a little bit of jimping not needed this is totally in my opinion a gentleman's folder and it is so good at that i mean this one is so so smooth i know what you're thinking gosh the one you just showed me was so much more in-depth if you will there's so much more to go with it a little bit gaudy almost but i just like this one this one's the one that did it for me this one will always have my number one position i think it's going to take a lot to get something to beat this one out of number one so that is my top five front flippers from my collection let me know what you think let me know what your favorite favorite front flipper is there's a lot of production front flippers there's a like the the kaiser oh i'm going blank the kaiser fro kaiser feist is a wonderful front flipper it's a little harder to use for people that aren't used to using front flippers i got it was the first front flipper i ever got and it made me a little discouraged because it's a little bit difficult until you learn how to use it but uh man i everybody thinks it's just a recent kind of kick and just a you know it's just a a thing that's going to come and go andre thorburn's been making front flippers for over 10 years now he has been doing them for a long long time it's just taken us a while to get caught up to the coolness factor so thank you so
