hey there adam hill vending tampa bay florida 100 vending machines snack machines drink machines if you're watching this video you're probably interested in what those what those three things are and i'm going to go into them what qualifies me to tell you anything eight years millions of dollars sold through vending machines hundreds of thousands of dollars in purchases and mistakes and you name it machine buys account purchases done it all done a lot not all of it but done a lot and what i want to go over what i want to go over is those three things okay the three things the top three reasons that you're going to fail that people fail at the vending machine business so stick with me this is going to be very valuable this year has been tremendous in 2022 at the beginning of the year educating a lot of people in the course the hillvinning.com course the structured way that people are getting tremendous value out of it is is phenomenal i'm very happy very excited about the direction that's going because uh saving people tens in some cases hundreds of thousands of dollars in mistakes that they're going to be making buying machines that are not credit card capable buying equipment that is outdated having you know no plan no strategy that's what we're here for today so let's get right into it the first uh the first reason the first reason and i want to pull this up here um uh real quick so three reasons machines okay briefly you've probably all seen the cash the money um the people say you know you buy a cheap machine the reason a lot of people fail at vending the reason why it's a revolving door people getting in and out is it's easy to get in and out there is you buying 300 machines is what i like to say if you buy a 300 machine you wouldn't be able to get into any of our accounts they would laugh and you would get kicked out because if you want quality accounts you need quality machines so listen to me on this one you say oh adam they're you know they're a few thousand dollars yes good machines and i'm not talking about the amount of money you have to spend but it has to be quality it has to be a quality brand people every day almost every day i hear sega vending machines sega vending machines are terrible quality machines it's like buying a car that constantly breaks down there's industry industry known things and sega brand vending machines are terrible okay but people don't know we're gonna get into this we're gonna get into this a little bit so the machines the first mistake people make is you think you're gonna buy a 300 machine you're going to put it in in a location you're going to start making all this money in reality that's not how it works that's not how it works at all you need quality machines for quality equipment by the way drop your comment down below and i will try to answer it too appreciate all the engagement on that number two wrong locations getting locations getting vending machine locations is not hard that's what everybody says everybody says i don't know how to get locations i that's the number one question how do i get vending locations how do i get i don't know guys you have the wrong strategy you have the wrong strategy you have to realize you don't have the right strategy of how to go about and get vending locations hill vending is very profitable has a lot of locations that are very profitable quality locations there's a strategy and a reason of why we're able to do that it's not luck it's not uh just random there's a there's a there's something in place behind that so buying a 300 machine and then you go put it in the wrong location then you you don't it's not credit card capable you put a credit card uh you try and buy a credit card reader you realize you have to return it you don't know how to how to price or program machine move your machine the majority of people lose money with vending machines because of all the intangibles they think it's going to be easy okay a bonus one a bonus tip before i get to number three a bonus tip is the the passive income kind of idea of vending and i thought about it today so i want to share this with you and let me know if you agree with this this kind of statement vending machines are passive the same way the lawn care business is passive right so if you mow a lawn and it takes seven days before you have to come back and mow it is that passive income while the grass is not growing is that passive income of course not the lawn business is not passive you have to actually go do the work well the same respect to the vending business you have to go fill the machines respond to customers calls you have to be engaged in the business passive income would be you invest in the stock market and get dividends you invest in real estate and get rental income and do nothing uh no it's under management okay so there's it's less intensive as some industries sure it's less intensive and there's a wide range of freedom and benefits that vending machines offer no one tells me what to do i can pick what machines i want to buy i can pick what accounts i want to go after i cannot show up for work for a week i can do whatever i want which is great and that is a very good benefit if you have kids uh you can have a family business with it you can build a you know hill vending is a family business you can have people you like to work with around you you don't have to deal with people nitpicking or telling you what to do so there are definitely a lot of aspects that are are great with defending business but necessarily passive i wouldn't say i would say it's less intensive sure less intensive if you have the right strategy so what number one was machines number two locations wrong locations you're putting these machines in barber shops and in these low volume low density low foot traffic accounts um and it's not hard to get these accounts if you have the right strategy it's not hard at all it's not hard people you're you're making it too hard and the reason you're making it hard is because you won't you you don't learn the right you don't learn the strategy that has been in front of you are location locators the right answer well let's think about that if location locators worked people for if you don't know that's someone that you would pay to say that map behind me i'd give them that zip code and they would call and try to set an appointment and and get a location for me if that worked the mill the multi-million dollar the multi-million dollar business or vending businesses would just hire the location locators and you would no one else would have a location because the vending locators could just locate them all and everything looked great meanwhile they don't know what doorways to go through they don't know what kind of machine is going to fit in there they don't know if it's actually a good or account or a bad account it's just a location it's an account so think about that with the location you need an actual strategy you need an actual strategy proven strategy third reason third reason is it lends to all this you get the 300 machine you put it in the wrong location and then number three mistake is you have no education or no idea are do you do they make parts for this machine anymore does this machine have ivand how do i deal with them asking for commissions what should i price the items in the machine what about the contract what about if i have to move the machines how do i move the machines are my parts under warranty all of these as you can see if you're new to it it can be overwhelming so the third mistake is not having a strategy or not having education not having education behind you it's similar to you like the long care analogy go ahead and smash the like button for that if you do it's sort of an analogy of you're going to go out and buy a semi truck tractor trailer you're going to start delivering things on your tractor trailer but you're not going to go to school to get your cdl license so you're just gonna get in your tractor trailer and you're just gonna start making money meanwhile you didn't go through the proper procedures and trainings of how to operate that equipment of how to operate that business okay so i hope that makes sense i hope that kind of sets in for some of you i'm really excited with the people that i'm working with right now in the hillbending.com forward slash course program people who who took the leap and actually realized you know what you're right i need to take a step back let me invest the money right here so i don't lose the money down the road and in some cases you're talking big money okay jumping into routes that machines aren't credit card capable jumping into the wrong locations jumping into a a hornet's nest a mess and especially now the vending industry is filled with the older generation it's been around for a while okay they've been around and they're looking to kind of get out not a lot of young blood in in the in the business right even though it's great it's great for college age right out of college great business um they are proud of their route and they want top dollar for the route meanwhile all along the way they have not upgraded their equipment they haven't upgraded their equipment they've they've let it go with the times and 1990 machines they want in 2021 pricing so you have to have you have to have a strategy in place of how to deal with that it's not hard vending is not hard guys vending is not hard it is a very simple business it's a very simple business very black and white think about it machine put it in a location fill it up with product go get your product at the store fill it up and come back and service it very simple the those three things i just talked about three things i talked about people get tripped up on though the biggest one obviously being education because if you had the right education you knew how to navigate that you wouldn't run into those roadblocks and what happens most of the time what happens most of the time is that people they jump in they either buy i've worked with a number of people after the fact that they've got into the business and bought sega combo machines that are um the boards are six hundred dollars bought machines that they don't make parts for anymore bot machines that don't take credit card readers and unfortunately um they've lost money they've lost money they've lost money by by jumping in and not and not kind of knowing so i hope that this video if anything um reinstills the the belief that i believe education and i believe he'll then i'm gonna say it hillvending.com the e-book the course all of it for the beginning vendor is the your kids you can have you know you can have fun you can do all these things but don't make don't turn vending into into the culprit the vending machine isn't the problem there's a lot of culprits in there the healthy vending scams the junk machines these locators there's a lot of landmines to to navigate around partly because think about there's no college course you can take there's no high school course you can take on it it's all random there's all hodgepodge of information so that's why we put that together to the course together the ebook together all this information to give you messed up three months in i was so lost notifications in my area had a location broke down for like three exactly good example a great example okay the a row a row machine for those of you don't know the brand row i've had experience with them they're obsolete they don't make parts for them anymore you might be able to get a part of a third party if they have it in stock okay they're not credit card capable it's basically you put that money you took that money and you bought a piece of scrap metal so that's unfortunately the and the thing is the person who sold you that machine may or may not have known that so that's what you run into these people who are selling the healthy vending the sega machines that have uh eight horsepower compressors that are gonna blow out that hold uh 12 drinks per column that is just guys this is just garbage just garbage and unfortunately they should be regulated they should be regulated and they should be thrown in jail i don't know about that maybe not that far settle down it's friday getting a little fired up friday guys let's see anthony gomez what's up been watching you uh since i got my first vending machine at the beginning of the about the first five locations you ever got and so you have them great example thank you and i will the first uh how i got started is i i jumped in on a route 120 000 route 24 years old you know i just want to jump in let's go i don't want to be in the corporate world i don't want a boss i want to have freedom i got all that but i also got a lot of problems financed it 60 down had my family invest yeah let's do it 60 000 down 60 000 over over uh three years payout to the owner so owner finance seller finance and of that today i'd have to go back and check but of the accounts well i'll tell you this the first the best account on that route this was eight years ago was doing three to four thousand a month in the first month i lost that account first month you want to talk about you want to talk about shell shocked in the first month the number one account on that route lost no fault of my own no fault of my own the company that was least leasing space from company long story i can get into it another thing they want to do their own vending basically lost so what you'll realize is um you you're in a sink or swim mentality at that point okay during a swinger sink or swim mentality you got to make it work out you got to go back to the drawing board and you have to keep going you have to keep moving so um of those locations i mean you're talking office parks which now in 2022 are are they the future are they not who knows what the work work from home market uh you have like school school locations you have manufacturing kind of places so those are the first kind of five and the same five uh the same industry same types of industries are still today it's uh just the fact that there was a lot of a lot of old machines a lot of non-credit card reader capable machines a lot of issues that you run across that now you know a row machine row machines and a bunch of machines and parts and storage single price machines uh coffee machines frozen food machines basically a collection of items that uh i don't wanna i don't wanna say it i don't wanna say it save that for another time don't get too fired up on friday guys let's see anthony gomez wait now i'm worried i bought one of those healthy you vending machines and you tell me they're one of the worst and i messed up as long as they're working that's great the problem is they are the problem the healthy you the healthy you vending preys on people's the idea of healthy vending it sounds great the problem is if you put a healthy vending machine a regular vending machine or you mix the combination of the both people do not at this point in time want healthy items at least the majority of people that's why coca-cola mountain dew pepsi that's why these are the top sellers if people wanted banana water in the to drink they would buy it we would sell it in the machine the problem is they don't want that shout out to to uh real beef sticks sent a uh have you guys heard of them they sent us a little care package 100 beef jerky sticks kind of all organic this nice size to fit in there i think the unit cost is somewhere around 40 cents so i'm gonna try these out ordered a couple couple cases um i think around 500 total good shelf life obviously around a year so we're gonna see how these these sell 50 calories five grams of protein shout out to uh shout out to real beef sticks for the for the leaf sticks so let me know have you had those i heard there's uh i heard they're coming on their shows to be up the the main selling point of these again i'm not getting paid they just sent me some of these hopefully they would pay me um is there not as greasy as the slim jim the problem with slim jim they got the greasy taste these are all natural ingredients so maybe they're i think they're down in miami florida it's where they're based out of so maybe you will be seeing these sometime soon let's see uh back to the back to the healthy vending yeah so the healthy vending options the machines the quality build the parts just every facet i'm not it's like saying um buying a buying a cheap car like whatever bat brand car is bad right yeah the car works i guess it's gonna work around but are you gonna get 100 000 miles out of it you know whatever below like hyundai or not hunt whatever is a cheap car manufacturer or the cheapest car manufacturer that's kind of how to put it yeah it's gonna it could work for you it could work for you just how long don't know what's up ariel let's see i moved uh one of those healthy combos today for customer people at location said nothing nice about the machine exactly exactly cincinnati let's see the super bowl bengals go bingles go bengals joe burrow let's see what could happen these are i know people who do millions of dollars in sales through vending they don't have healthy the healthy you it preys on people like me when i start now you want the them to hold your hand you think yeah that's that sounds good you buy into the pitch the emotion of it they prey on that and they they sell the dream but behind it it's all facade and that's the problem it's not like the car doesn't work it's not the car won't go it's that you're gonna blow a head gasket at ten thousand you're gonna have a leaky uh a leaky whatever whatever transmission is going to go your transmission is going out at 3 3 500 miles and all your tires blow out yes yeah you can get it it works your time's on that that's the point with healthy vending okay just like the passive aspect of ending sure there's some it's not passive it's less intensive less intensive than a manufacturing job where you're shoveling coal or digging into the side of a mountain so again just going to keep coming on here coming on youtube coming on the platforms and the channels that i have because i know the product that hill vending has in the education space is superior to any anything i've seen and i would love to see in the comments if there's another program out there that you think competes with hill vending love to see it love to kind of give my opinion on it and see what what's out there but what from what i've seen there's a lot of people out there talking about it but don't have anything to back it up you know what's the old saying for my people from texas all hat and no cattle that's what i'm seeing a lot of i've seen a lot of a lot of consultants i'm seeing a lot of people who will tell you that it's great have no payroll don't have a storage don't have trucks no system the big guys aren't sharing with you what i'm sharing i'm here for the little guy i'm here for me when i was 24. i'm here for that person that person that guy or girl who is who is looking to get into it old young the great thing about vending can be man or woman can be young retired it doesn't matter there's a wide section of people who are just looking for some income some freedom some kind of do your own thing but they get caught up in these in these locators they get caught up in this healthy stuff and which way to go and when the healthy vending says oh here you go here i'll steer you right here they tell you what you want to hear right to the slaughterhouse unfortunately the majority of the time unfortunately the majority of the time um that's what you're running into so hope this helps i hope this helps i'm going to hop off here but
