as someone who plays exclusively on Nintendo switch I've played a lot of the best games on the system today we're going through what I think are the 25 best ones as of early 2023. Luigi's Mansion 3 is completely unique it's an adventure game set in a haunted hotel where Mario's brother wields a modified vacuum to combat ghosts solve puzzles and Marvel at some of the gorgeous detail and lighting effects on display and this game is Standalone so knowledge of the prior to Luigi's Mansion games is not required Nintendo switch is the perfect place to play this deep beautiful roguelike that steeped in Greek mythological lore every new play session is a chance to escape the shackles of Tartarus and confront Hades face to face it features satisfying adrenaline pumping combat in a wide variety of weapons and skills that give it just the right amount of nuance Ubisoft up the ante with its second take on the Mario and Rabbit's collaboration Sparks of Hope is an addicting and exceedingly Charming tactical strategy game with 9 playable characters 30 equippable Sparks to help you in battle and multiple ways of DLC on the way this is one switch title that's worth its weight in gold for fans of classic turn-based RPGs Dragon Quest 11s will be right in your comfort zone this game is filled with so much heart from its fantastic characters to its massive main quest in Hardy's side content on top of that it gives players an unprecedented Choice whether to experience the full game in 3D or in classic 2D pixel art while Splatoon 3 improves on its predecessor in almost every way Splatoon 2 still wins out due to its octo expansion a brilliant collection of single player challenge levels using the series patented spray and swim ink mechanics when it comes to replay over and over again as the Phantom thieves a group of lovable high schoolers with the power to change people's hearts you'll take on some of Japan's most corrupts in the latest and greatest entry of atlas's popular Persona series it's part Dungeon Crawler part monster battler and part life simulation not to mention it might also have the best soundtrack in all of gaming arguably the best video game collection ever released 3D All-Stars features three classic Mario titles 64 sunshine and Galaxy all in one cartridge fully optimized for switch it's hard to beat that anywhere despite its age Mario Kart 8 continues to be the gift that keeps on giving its deluxe edition is the top selling game on Nintendo switch and for good reason it still looks great feels great and will continue to unexpectedly Amazing Story the latest Pokemon titles are a reinvention of the series in truly Monumental releases on Nintendo switch easily the greatest video game crossover of all time and possibly the best fighting game ever made Super Smash Brothers ultimate pits gaming icons from across the industry in battle with each other leading to an unmatched Smorgasbord of fan service multiplayer brawls are the main attraction but ultimate also boasts robust single player content like the world of light battle Adventure Mode Hollow Knight Will Catch You by surprise with its unexpected size and difficulty this is a 2d action adventure game featuring a gorgeous hand-drawn art style with exceptional music and sound design to match an unforgettable experience with a deep World in lore Hollow Knight is the best indie game on the platform Pokemon Legends Arceus is a total shake-up to the core Pokemon experience yet it still manages to be one of the franchise's most well-received and engaging titles in years sneak around wide open environments while actually aiming and throwing pokeballs at unsuspecting creatures it's just as fun as it sounds and leads to an incredibly immersive Adventure full of charm wonder and heart Xenoblade 2 is the biggest and best game in this this long-running series of incredible RPGs it has a completely unique highly customizable battle system some of the best Overworld themes ever composed and introduces some creative twists on the genre's typical conventions this is the game that made Xenoblade a series and introduces an endlessly lovable cast of characters plus a breathtaking world to get lost in the Nintendo switch is also home to the best 3D Mario game and that alone says a whole lot Adventure through a handful of colorful kingdoms all while enjoying what is arguably the Pinnacle of 3D platforming with over 800 moons to collect Super Mario Odyssey gives the player no shortage of things to do and it's such a joy to play that you just might try to find them all Mario's latest is a once in a generation type game that's a must-have for any switch owner and number one is to no one's surprise the game you probably bought the console for the Legend of Zelda breath of the wild not much more needs to be said about this game other than that a redefined open world RPGs and influenced everything in the genre to follow if for some
