hello welcome to colony rv my name is bobby hensinger and today we're going to go through what our features of the 2023 navion top 10 are now these are certainly premium rvs that winnebago's been building for over three decades and i'm sure the founding fathers from winnebago john hanson as well as from mercedes-benz mr benz and mr gelinik who's mercedes father are smiling down on us as we take a look at their collaborative effort for 2023. come on let's take a look at the top ten our number one top ten is winnebago's legendary construction when you walk in rvs you often don't get to see what's behind the walls and underneath its skin well in forest city iowa winnebago is proud to not just be an assembler but a manufacturer where over 75 percent of their parts are made in-house and that's special when you're driving down the highway in an rv you want it to look just like it was when it's new after doing 70 miles an hour for months and years at a time from their side walls where they use azdel composite material which is much better and will have less chance of delamination all of their tanks all of their moldings their shower stalls everything there they're making from scratch as you can see we're also sitting on the roof of this navion which is a one-piece fiberglass roof aluminum steel superstructure which is fast and different than most manufacturers where they use interlocking joints so the strength of this rv is going to be better than most they use pex residential plumbing on all their rvs and their wire harnessing is done similar to some airlines where they not only label it but you can see they're not using wire crimps to connect some of the connectors so just the construction of it certainly is something that you're going to want and that's why we choose number one as winnebago's legendary construction and there's almost 3 000 employees in forest city iowa to make sure when they're building them every day that's exactly what they want you to know our number two top 10 is the mercedes-benz vs30 chassis this is diesel it is a 3.0 liter six cylinder engine and it comes with now a lot more advanced security features that in this case when you're driving down the road just like a mercedes-benz s-class would have you have hydraulic brakes you have abs you have crosswind assist brain braking assists you have lane keeping assist the technology with the safety features of driving a vehicle like this just continue to go on one of the great feature with mercedes is the mercedes-benz mbux the mercedes-benz user experience this whole system as far as technology is concerned it's just like an ipad you can go through and you can set all of your not only your map but anything to do with the vehicle itself that way when you are driving you have the most technology right at your fingertips that's why the mbux and the vs30 chassis is our number two feature our number three top ten is the luxurious space inside the navion there's three floor plans they've been produced for over three decades as we mentioned and inside a 20-foot coach that's six inches in length when you look inside this is the 24d you can't just help about how much luxury that you see inside a coach you have the lp and the induction stovetop which is great a lot of people like that you have two options you have a 10 cubic foot 12 volt refrigerator and freezer right here you have offset cabinets with the techno form in this case you have the white with the the walnut bottom so it's just giving you some different depth inside the rv the drawers they're all soft clothes and even better than my home they're also lighted so it's just really cool features that winnebago is putting together in a coach like this again this is the 24d floor plan it does have a murphy bed that's queen size that comes down and the number one feature that people love with the navions is this u-shaped dinette when you're traveling with your family or kids to have a very big dinette space that you can also break down into a bed just really really makes sense and also has seat belts so that's what we just would say as far as luxury it's great to travel in any of the navion floor plans and the j model also comes with this u-shaped dinette where the v will come with a theater seats instead our number four top 10 feature is the hydraulic leveling jacks this is the equalizer system eq smart level and when you're traveling and you're just going to stop for a period of time and you want the entire coach to be level and just give you a more solid footprint it's great just to come in press a button this way you know that your entire coach is level but one of the really cool features that it's also bluetooth and you can control it with your phone so all you would do is just go into your phone and download the eq smart level app you would pair it to the jacks and it's great that you can sit here and play with the all of the jacks when you're inside or outside the coach just makes it a lot easier as we know bluetooth and all of the apps do in our life but to have hydraulic leveling jacks which winnebago has been installing on the navions for just over about two and a half years uh is great to have and that's why it's our number four our number five top ten is the cab over super shell and we're going to just talk about this because it is different in the last couple years that winnebago's been producing it you can see we have a little cross section of this which is three and a half inches thick winnebago builds this to be able to provide a premium thermal as well as acoustic protection when you're up here sleeping to be comfortable as well as safe and one of the things that's great about this is that it eliminates hundreds of parts compared to the older cab over from winnebago so construction is a lot simpler and also you're gonna be warmer and you'll have less sound up here so the super show that's our number five top ten our number six top ten is actually a question because we want to ask do you know what's one of the smallest parts on any rv but it's definitely one of the strongest it's actually fascinating to me that there are six if you've guessed it that's right it's a valve stem core this was invented in 1891 by august schroeder and it's just fascinating to me that this would not be possible to have an 11 000 uh gvwr rv even driving a foot let alone a mile without this and there's six of them on this coach and it's just truly amazing what technology as far as modern technology can do that's why this is number six and it's actually one of my favorites our number seven top ten as we're laying underneath the vehicle that's right it's a spare tire and if you didn't know this most class a b and c motorhomes don't even come with one they often have generators and tanks in the space but on the mercedes-benz sprinter with the 3500 chassis the navion it does come with a spare tire which is also full size so when you're out there on a road it's great for security and for a little bit sleep at night that you know that you have a spare tire with you where you wouldn't have to wait in case you got a flat that's why the spare tire is our number seven top ten in the 2023 navion the number eight top ten in the navion are the dual pane windows this is an option on the navion and we generally order it because most customers do like it one of the great features it opens up as an umbrella style feature as opposed to the single pane which are sliders so if it is raining you can still have some venting and rain will just roll right off and then as well for some insulation and then you can put it into the center locking position that way you can have some venting but still be locked that nobody can get in so the feature of it and the lock that winnebago has is just great as far as energy is concerned dual pane windows they're rated about 24 more efficient in winter and 18 in summer so you can see what it's doing for you when you're traveling with air conditioning and heat just to make this vehicle more efficient when you're using all of the systems as far as energy is concerned that's why the dual pane windows is at number eight in the top ten our number nine in the top ten is solar as you can see we got the sun shining today there's two 100 watt panels on the roof there is some more real estate up here if you did want to add say a third panel and they have a port here that's open and it can take up to 450 watts we already have 200 now one thing to think about solar is just going to be trickle charging your batteries your house batteries it's not going to run the blow dryer or the blender directly but it is great because it'll keep your batteries topped off and you can even expand it that's why that's number nine our number 10 feature in the navion is the heated and power seats but my personal favorite is the heat function i mean who doesn't like traveling not only in winter but it's been a very hot summer and we all travel just like i do with my air conditioning on but when you have heated seats it just makes traveling that much more comfortable if you strain your back or you just want to feel better i always travel with the heated seats on even when it's 90-100 degree out with the ac on i just love driving like that and you can just push the button
