[Music] hi everyone welcome to my channel rain or shine my husband and I recently visited some of the best islands in the Gulf of Naples today I'll be sharing with you our favorite places in capri one of the most famous Islands in Italy Capri is located in the region of Campagna in the south of Italy the island is divided into two towns Capri and anacapri so here are our top 10 Capri places in no particular order number one on our list is Marina Grande located in the north of Capri it was once a quiet fishing village with colorful houses today it is the busy Port where all visitors commuters and locals arrive because it is the only harboring Capri for both public ferries and private boats in this area there are plenty of food shops cafes boutiques and hotels I personally loved watching the views of the colorful facades of the buildings with the mountains standing behind next on our list are the impressive rajoni located in the southeast of the island this dramatic towering rock formations that stick out from the Mediterranean are the most iconic site in Capri there are different ways to get the best views of the farajioni [Music] my most favorite is through a boat trip I highly recommend that you take a boat trip to fully appreciate the amazing ragged Landscapes of the island I loved the clear turquoise Waters especially when the light reflected the water on the sea rocks the highlight of the boat trip was when we passed through one of this incredible rock formations [Music] other viewpoints of the federal Journey that we really enjoyed were from Augustus Gardens and especially the Twilight that we witnessed in solitude from the Belvedere Del itsolungo next on our list is the Blue Grotto located in the north of anacapri the Blue Grotto is undoubtedly one of the highlights in our Capri trip the best time to visit the Blue Grotto is during High Noon when the sun is really high to get the best light inside the grotto is not advisable to visit the Blue Grotto when it's cloudy because everything will look dark and dull inside we had never seen anything like this before our videos don't give Justice on How Majestic the cave actually is in person we were speechless when we were inside The Grotto as it seemed too magical to be true short and expensive but unique experience that you shouldn't Miss in a trip to Capri [Music] foreign on our list is anacapri located in the west of the island in my own opinion I loved the Charming Anna Capri more than the fancy Capri we really enjoyed walking in anacapri's narrow streets of course we couldn't miss the kiesa Museo De San Miguel situated in Piazza San Nicola it's one of the main sides of the Town its Fame comes from its incredible ceramic floor made up of Majolica tiles by Leonardo tienese around 1760. it is forbidden to walk on the floor directly so visitors have to walk on a wood platform around it foreign located in anacapri but overlooking Capri town Villa San Michele was the dream home of the Swedish physician Axel moons he first came to Capri in 1885 and immediately fell in love with the island he built his Villa on the ruins of an ancient Chapel dedicated to San Miguel Villa San Michele is one of the most visited spots in the whole island of Capri in my opinion it was worth visiting The Villa in its Gardens there are exotic plants and trees and also magnificent pieces of ancient Roman art [Music] in the garden it can be found also the famous Granite sphinxed from Egypt it is said that whichever direction you look at you can never see the anterior aspect of the Sphinx unless you have wings and can fly next to it [Music] number six is the Punta harena Lighthouse located in the southwest of the island it can be reached by a 15-minute public bus ride from the center of anacapri locals say that this is the best place to watch the sunset in Capri and during our visit we were lucky to admire how the sky exploded with Hues of orange and red [Music] my husband and I were extremely happy filming this show of nature [Music] number seven on our list is Monte Salado located in the middle of the island separating the towns of papri and anacapri this mountain is the highest point of Capri with an elevation of 589 meters the views from the top are really worth to reach its peak comfortably by chairlift or by hiking if you want an intense workout of course I preferred the chair lift because I wanted to feel as comfortable as possible while enjoying the amazing views of the island although it was cloudy when we reached the top there were moments when the sky opened up and we were able to see the farajani from the church of Santa Maria of chatrella number eight is Marina Piccola located in the south of Capri we loved this area in the island mostly because the father Johnny are directly opposite of this pretty Bay my husband enjoyed swimming on the clear and turquoise Mediterranean water I have deep water fear so I stayed on the shore but I equally had a good time mostly because of the wonderful View this is the spot where Homer wrote that adishis had his encounter with enchanting and dangerous sirens next on our list are the piazerta and the streets in the town of Capri located in the south of the marina Grande Capri town is a perfect destination for people who love elegant shops fancy restaurants luxury hotels and exclusive brands this part of the island is known for being the retreat Paradise of the Rich and Famous [Music] has always been the center of life on the island and it's a fantastic spot to start strolling around the nearby streets last but not the least are the giardini DI Augusto or Augustus Gardens located towards the south of the piazzetta if you only have a few hours in the Island of Capri and want to see a classic view of the Sea and the farajani you must visit The Gardens of Augustus there's a small entrance fee into the garden but every penny is absolutely worth it and don't miss the view
