this is gonna start your tool Journey I know you know the band name and tool tool you're a tool not the first time I've been gone that's uh Oh you mean the band the band Yes I know of tool okay do you tool esque yeah yeah this is another one of those songs that I kind of had some conversations with some people in the comments on where to start your tool Journey because it's another one of those bands that you don't want to just throw somebody into head first and I mean some people might have a bad impression of it from the beginning because they don't understand what's going on you know not saying you won't understand but we're just going to start you similar to what we did with Opeth just just ease into it and go on the journey together wow you know what I say Richard no I don't foreign I say that's just that's all right here we go [Music] I am [Applause] [Music] a bass sound dude this the is like sounds like dinosaurs walking around I mean drums obviously drums pop a little more for two I think they're not so deep sounding I think he leaves that up to the but even the bass has more of a rather than like you know yeah it's like the Clapping of thunder who's that told you that oh yeah go ahead he's a tools and this is relevant go ahead I didn't know who the drummer was Richard I said it earlier earlier a little while ago earlier we started recording this video well then that is my fault I apologize do you forgive me so he's the drummer and he's regarded as one of the best drunk in the world yeah he sounds like he knows what he's doing on the drums yeah [Music] [Applause] the way I interpret it is it's talking about somebody who's very hypocritical and they're the pot calling the kettle black but he does say You must have been high over and over yeah so like I said open to interpretation I think he's talking about somebody being two-faced or hypocritical I was just asking sure I don't know I don't know something I should do we should ask Ken yeah we should ask a little bit when we start back up because it's a good part I was listening to it yeah I know um they do simple stuff A lot of times yeah but they do it with a a vigor or uh it's well placed within the air of the song you have the space of what the song is how they enter into it and come out of it it's really cool yeah um and they do that [Music] the whole thing you know that little yeah [Music] never know with tool never know they gotta be in drop d I'm pretty sure yeah because most of that hole that Dad you got to do that with no constraints they do a lot with options too and then on that chorus only I can't you can't get all the core changes the tool and right five seconds hi thank you anyway they do a lot with octaves yeah guitars and bass how you feel about that one it's all over the place it's like an abstract painting sometimes I dig it I like how they move in and out of space and music yeah it's a very intelligent way to construct a song yeah in my opinion I think tool just had what's the guy what's the front guy's name Maynard James Keenan Maynard yeah that guy's yeah he's on another level sure that's what that meant yeah that it should have heard a noise like ding or like [Music] something that indicated on another level beaming up yeah yeah they uh maybe he was born down possibly he could be an alien I didn't want to say it I'll say it that's one of their more digestible songs uh for the the pot The non-tool Listener the Casual tool listener yeah for that to be one of the most digestible songs from tools it is it is it's good I think I think I saw them in 99 you think you did no I mean I did oh but you don't really see them is what I mean they were behind this screen Maynard probably was yeah I mean I don't remember really I saw these people hanging from the ceiling they were all covered in silver stuff and like doing crazy stuff it's crazy where would this have been on the coast hmm okay during uh there was like a big thing they did down there in 99 with other bands too long time ago Richie yeah I got to see him in January of 2020. oh that's just that's not long ago not long ago so you remember way more than I do it was fantastic they were amazing love well congratulations very tight they they I mean it sounds like tightness is there No Doubt they're called tool you know that's what you do with tools tighten things up it's well put all
