Too Far Gone? Plumbers, Would you have done this?

so I may remember this one come here in December and I suppos full clean and we found the ex Le today we back place the exchanger also going to put a filter in it get all done I made a breath cuz I'm just L all the stuff up so boys let's get the case off I'll show you to get this done welcome back everyone this job might split opinions a little bit so we've got an old wor boy that need a new heat exchanger on some more videos I've done a repair on a boiler where people have said you should just replace a boiler and other videos replace the boiler people say you should have saved it so I want to know what you think would have you gone to these lamps on the boiler now me myself personally I always put the choice to the customer but you're going to see me replace a main heat exchanger on a wor JY boiler get a filter on there and get it back up to running order so want to say again thank you very much for the support I really really appreciate it if you haven't subscribed make sure you my channel uh since December you'll know this one um was the one where I come do full stream clean and I no it's the heat exchanger was leaking then we give the customer call for new exchanger and to replace the baller so it's going to be one on now cuz it started leaking we're back we're going to do the man exchanger and put a filter on ready for system clean we do system clean as well on this one cuz the water quality was not the best on this one case off yeah you can see where the a chang is G all the way around there it's been yeah it's quite it's actually wet now all this B on to come so it's been progressively getting worse so to get this out first thing to do is get the fan throwing out the way so I'm just going to take the clip off there I should just it say easily come out because oh we had it before there we go disconnect the electrics again nice and easy lead pull this out the way and then 13 mil KN on top of there under do that then that clamp come off and that'll swing out way so I've that note that's out the way and then that will [Music] twist you can wig it out like easy with two hands you're not recording for [Music] YouTube need the extra to hold that clamp down there we go that's the F assembly all out next up let get these off now again they should be nice and easy them out on one two three that Clump out and then the electronics Qui he says there we go get them out the way disconnect all the electrics I have I have turned the pair off so don't worry get that out the way that just pulls out the top all the electrics discon now from the exchanger folding bucket out got the R5 Just the drain off there cable is the hardest going the system we can open that in there there we go all the water make off as well the so far has been getting this off absolutely nightmare so there's a clip in there pull that out to get it out and what I've been doing using the screwdriver be that just to P it as you can see that's nice aome wow that look good to see okay so that sa um let's move on to the bottom so this cup here that needs to come out now the sun does come out with this as well so we got to get rid of the Trap that's going to come out so just twist pull come out going to get the washer replaced on that cuz it looks a little bit thin put in the bucket for now so with the bar what we should be able to do is lift it up and out that Gap there you see how it thickens up on that clamp so as lift it up bring it up then it this way disconnect flu bend that t back that should lift up enough for you to get this some paper disconnect left RS there that should be it ready to go why nothing else connected now now I have some Pap before Tech out the do not touch that do not loosen that it will not come out from you got an areas the ring on the bottom of here where this water goes in it'll be seasoned and solid so you can grab that get struggling for the ages the easiest way I find to do it is get a flat or Cow Bar underneath sun and rock it up rock it up what I'm going to do is see c big flat is just rock it up rock it towards you you should have to get it out yeah we took that bracket off the back now it just wouldn't just wouldn't come up so it try and pre it up on KN two hands but normally what I do is pre it where fled while wiggling it backwards and forwards don't be scared of me you've got to give these some well to get them out so yeah pising that up and down we give it a wiggle actually get it free it's free now oh as I said just wiggle the SC dri up and down give him a wiggle don't be scared of him and he'll come out um just got to get him out now past here yeah that's the exchanger all out there we go one exchanger all out you can see has gone all on this seal you know give me the one it should be new you know if it's a new Bo the Trap it's one of them traps new Su it's the old trap the square one that went on the side it's the old sump so somewhere it should say new some yeah happy days but get this one prepped get this one here it is new exchanger say ites there but you get the baffles you get the r start which is normally bent up or broken um and I then break all the time the they well packed that bit you get main exchanger you also get gasket all your rings don't think you get any screws you got get no screws but for that there I think that is the that's it so we put the old one in the box now start getting this new one so new ring our ring on there get plenty of lube on that um let's get all these clips out the way just left them inside the main Cher be looking for them cursing myself when I lose them new been on here plenty of lube on there I'm going to get plenty near Lube around here and on there and we're going to put him back in here the clamp in the back here that fits in here you going to leave that for now we can put that on afterwards uh it does come with the new uh plastic bit for here Happy Days um so yeah let's get some lube on them seals and get this one back in so what I'm going to do as we lift it in I'm going to aim for this pipe here try and feed it through there while avoiding that at the same time um there's no way really I can set my camera up cuz I'm in this little air recovered I might try set it up there give you an angle of what it looks like put it in all right best angle I could get was there here we here you exchanger in coming yeah probably the worst angle ever what was I thinking anyway new exchanger in see I give him Wiggle in It will set in properly but give him a wiggle see it's set down there onto that Po got back in there we go that's that back in I can go on there that's back in uh get the clip in there technically you can actually fill that up now once you got that clip in see fill it up test it make sure you got no legs um yeah going to get the back clamp put back on so that's clamp back down inside the white plastic bit this bit get that repl F that away yeah that just goes see the clip there wait now that goes in there down onto there with two screws obviously the plastic bit in between right so now get the burner back in so it does come with the baffles but not the burner so you got put the old burner back in and we got the electrodes we knew last time so we have repl seal it to do send a new red seal so we just replace that form all but new seal on there and plate next plate in there we go and then we can put the electr back on always forget to put these on always do it after not my ending I've got the fan back in but remember this time uh let's get these electrod back on so electrod connections back in place rectification back in place I put these two orange wires back on high limit stat and put them on flu temp stat Al got just that back in there so yeah we get the fan back in now it's look basically now it's like a full D down service in Reverse that's all you got to do now is put the fan back in um so yeah he ain't too bad a job it a't too bad job I think that's 45 minutes swap the lava so it's to once you get used to it uh so yeah let's get the fan L get that back in place F we just got him in the logs and what you want to do is just angle it upwards so little angle up should that will engage the back you should be able to say twist that on I'm I going to be able to do it one handed it's enough two here we go one go St so then get up and should lock into place then you can push that out but I'm going to tr this water there we go make sure you don't that water pushing around I go pushing down there just to avoid the flow elbow that's it that's in the back PR p i can get in back in big tight put a bit of Lube on there put the fan electrics back on that's one two and then we can get that 13 mil nut back on there clamp that burner clamp down burn clamps all back on that not all tight put a bit Lube on that and it went straight in Happy Days and then the clip I'm going to feed it through one side give it a pinch Fe it through the other without P there we go I that back in uh the uh F protective cover on here um that's it for the in flu legs so all these legs it'll di the water stop it blowing your fan get that nut back on there uh I see oh the Trap I'll go do the seil on the Trap as well I'm that back on nearly forgot to put that back on yeah don't forget that back on nothing that comes out there could if the B is full of water it does nothing all it does is all the EX place [Music] so there we go to that back on and let's go get a seal for theide trap new sail in the Trap let's get in back in yeah you would s absolutely all out p b thank you very much for that back in Let's Get Down back on should have Ed that trap first well listen then uh right trap me back on I see that's it all back back up uh better draw that board off but yeah use the exchanger all done next up we're going to fit ad maget cleans ad maget cleans get some cleaner in then we're going to do return visit to clean all system out uh see let's get the screw in that right got three tows there I'm not going to dry the system we snatch it we I'm going put our big boy pants on and snatch it so what I'm thinking is put the pipe quick as I can bang that on turn it off first bang that on then I can make Alters to the PIP workable cuz be now water come out of it then see we go come on it com that for that should be off okay [Music] always there go let's see locked anyway uh plenty of down there anyway so yeah let's get that on and um yeah we'll sort the rest of the part work there we go just got the M cleaning there didn't want to tell I was panicking when there's water com there of the bipe but we have plenty of Tails down there I knew want be too I knew the back of my head would be too much but time I was panicking so uh just the street elbow the long gated one that come with the mag c in there normal street there so it's nice and straight um get some cleaner in there and I fill the system back up just wait for that to cool down good idea five minutes and uh have a drink that's all cooled down get some water back in all hold on CL are dry off let me double check there we go clean it in let's get this filled up and tested right dry enough is closed see what happens hopefully just fill up and that the me well pressure about that though I was wored that put it BL on the board let's get this fuse back in see if this is bang I got a load of water over no good bang behave fan run no come on no the eo's on turn the EO off tested see if it fires up there we [Music] go rectified yes rectified all on all events have a good splutter there we go got 26.9 check on test out Max yes my actually got charged once you know made that's always beep and actually charged it so still the max did the mean and uh make sure everything's working safely there we go one new changer all done all sa check St put it back up temperature filtering cleaner in so we am going to come back and do a magn clean on this so yeah I do like saving boards when the customer chooses save boiler um I'm all three I really am so new exchanging that he's a new le life if you want to see me clean out system let me know in the comments I can record doing the clean out to see what mock we get the system cuz that cleaner is going to stay in there for a couple of weeks then we're going to come back and clean it so yeah that's giving that ball a new lace life but would have
