Toby Keith Gives POWERFUL Update Amid Cancer Battle

hello everyone and welcome back to countrycast Toby Keith has now shared a brand new update surrounding his battle with stomach cancer before we get into what Toby Keith has now shared we are going to run through a quick timeline of events since he first publicly announced that he was diagnosed back in June of last year is when Toby Keith first revealed that he had been diagnosed with stomach cancer back in late 2021 Keith turned to social media and shared last fall I was diagnosed with stomach cancer I've spent the last six months receiving chemo radiation and surgery so far so good I need time to breathe recover and relax I am looking forward to spending this time with my family but I will see the fans sooner than later I can't wait sign T throughout the time that fans have known a about Toby Keith's diagnosis and battle he has made very few and far between public appearances with not many updates on his condition and progression Toby Keith returned to the stage when he performed out at Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse in Louisville Kentucky late last year he also made an appearance where he sang along with fans when he popped into the legendary Eskimo Joes out in Stillwater Oklahoma and then around that same time frame Toby did an interview with cmt's Cody Allen sharing more details about his health progress where he said I am thinking about getting back into fighting shape I need a little time to rest up and heal up and that it is pretty debilitating to have to go through all that and as long as everything stays hunky-dory we'll look at something good in the future and since that interview with Cody Allen Toby has had a couple more public appearances one online where he he shared this photo that you see here a few weeks ago as well as this performance a few days later after the photo when Oklahoma University's women's softball team won their third NCAA title so after one year again we have not seen or heard much from Toby on his progress and understandably so but now we do have another update for y'all Toby Keith recently held his annual Toby Keith and Golf Classic which helps raise funds for the OK kids Chorale who provide the special needs and treatment for Pediatric cancer patients they also reached a record-breaking number this year of 1.8 million dollars raised now during the event Toby Keith sat down with the Oklahoman in an interview where he shared I'm feeling pretty good I'm about another eight weeks from my last scan so I expect next time I look for that tumor to be even less and I've only got one and that's shown up basically everything is in a real positive trend you never know with cancer so you have to prepare Keith also explained that his goal would be to return to the road in the fall of this year 2023 given that he is capable of getting through a full-length set he continued and said I feel better I've got more wind and I'm thinking about bringing the band in and setting up playing two or three days somewhere just to see if I can get through two hours and if I do I'll be out on the road this fall all I got to do is see if I can get through two or three nights of work and get a little break in this chemo and we'll go back to work I'm ready that's living also according to the Oklahoman Toby's tuber has shrunk by a third as well as his blood test are continuing to improve with each test in addition Toby is undergoing immune immunotherapy and has a nutritionist so guys y'all continue please continue to send your thoughts and prayers for Toby leave those comments down below please really great to hear that things are still moving in a positive direction for Toby Keith We Love You Toby and we are praying for you as always guys thank you all for tuning in here at countrycast that'll be it for today's video if you're new here hit that subscribe button down below turn those notifications on as well so you never miss out on any breaking updates surrounding your favorite country artist and all the news coming right out of Music City y'all stay country
