Vitti was open lowering and mr. Murdock he was a chief steward and each carry be to share in her latest children and women first it was marvelous and you took the baby I took the baby and I didn't want to go so they said come on and I went down in the last classes and there was a packet for the 72 in it and so the students man that they you know made the boat and which you rescue you Carpathian Carpathia and she was film of course going on the Mediterranean cruise and you brought the baby safely back with you no I wouldn't when we got on the ship they the Italian doctor called out everybody can help so they have big jars of her you know so only that the stewards of the Carpathia were waiting there with brandy and hot blankets for the survivors and then of course it wasn't that space for us we had to go there we couldn't the kindness of some other people which was going them Mediterranean cruise opted out with lettuce you know sweet when you first went up on the deck of the Titanic does anything stand out in your memory are you look everybody was most cheerful and everybody was offering one another and trying to do what they could they never forget for so serious what did you take with you well I'm not close your personal things nothing at all I went back to get some personal things that I had some money and stuff that the water was coming down the you know via the stairs so I to go back you saw the water oh yes coming down the game ways you live the code it so I went back and everybody was up on deck then how long we want it in the lifeboat about an hour and then how long we would see before you were rescued we was a bit about two o'clock I think we're about two o'clock when Lee was picked up then we floated around all night in the license and then the B was picked up by the Carpathia you see we couldn't he couldn't come nearer to us we had to go to them you see it and a counter wanted to see and you could hear the ice pressure in the sides of the boats you saw ice all around you oh yes crashing look and the north of the ocean was a smooth as a pounder and more in the water until you were in the boat and so very light yes that fight daylight and then we was brought down to New York and the lapland brought us back to Plymouth the survivors which had to come back so then of course we just kept their little while and then brought onto Southampton because that was very sad because everybody thought she was somebody who was lost and I had so many friends on there and you couldn't tell them anything and then you and yourself went back to see yes you went back yeah busy white shark um yes I made a mess of the colour Mediterranean clues and I was a little wild and then I go get up and come out this country today today yeah thank you very much where were you when mr. I just retired did you realize the something series that have him straight away no when did you first realize the ship was in trouble and so we got out and I met one of the stewards and mr. Dowd and he said I said what's wrong he said I don't know but get up on the deck everybody get up on the bait which we did then we didn't think it was serious you stayed on deck sometimes yes quite a while everybody was healthy all the stewards everybody was helping to put the people in the lifeboats and another story a baby to take care of and we were raised it in turn to get in the lifeboats I never wanted to go because I didn't think it was possible but anything could I felt I was safer on the deck of the ship that she staying very quickly and I was in the last lifeboat which was lower and then you how long you would see em all night all night years all right and then you went back to sea I did I made a Mediterranean cruise one with the right staff well thank you very much mr. Slocum I wasn't a serious class and I was in bed and then a young man act on the door and tell me there was some trouble with the ship so I said throw up my shoes and I set them on me because I thought all I had this is Manny where were you when the ship stuck the iceberg and in the steerage mysterious chance you were immigrating to America yes I was coming over here to my sister if I may ask hello view then I was sixteen going on seventeen seventeen in October and when did you first realize how serious the trouble was I didn't until I got to this country I thought as part of the trip shattered the truth I didn't realize if it was any danger you didn't realize anything you know I thought that that was pretty hard where to get here but I didn't really think it was as bad as it was until after when the alarm was sounded what happened well I I was asleep at the time and I talked on the ship had landed so I can't we were here in this country then he went up on day and then I went up on deck and then we were told to go down but there was a piece of ice on deck and that's when they get it offered everything up here all right but you let me go to bed how did you escape well we were standing on the steerage third-class the corner and then we couldn't get up a second and of course then there was one man with us in he was our God in the engine he said for God's sake let the women up so at that Ike I know and then he beckoned and then you got into a lifeboat I know then I had to go to first cabin my thoughts were only going from first him so there was a man on the second deck and he asked me to go on his shoulder and I over in the nine I think it was the last bullet that was going out did you take my left me on because there was too many on the boat already but you got into the boat when I said to the man I'd like to go with my sister because it was a neighbor with me and I thought he'd see because I didn't want to lose the crowd I didn't really think it was any danger but I thought I'd missed them in the dark you know it's a very dark you see the Gypsy oh yes I was looking at it thinking when we were in the rice board because one night sports for nine hours and then which ship rescued your cap ASEAN okay so you picked it up then the early in the morning fog - time for some - after the moon do you remember anything particularly of the scenes at night you were in the lifeboat and that was the most terrific time of all to the shaft you know for to hear the explosions and when the boilers must have hit the water I guess I know other wreckage was finally in isn't we used to push it away you know from the boats cause we wouldn't sink because we're really packed capacity in the boat you know did you rescue anyone from the water oh yes we have to take Tywin's from another boat and they used to pick wetlands up then and put all the West ones together in a in other boats to us that the wouldn't be weather only women and children in your vote oh yes there was women and there was women and one man he had jumped in what a rain caught in the towel on his head and he used to help us draw the boat and we used to keep on second directions from the man that was there was a couple of men I guess on really directing the boats to go wherever the cafe theorized you know did you see the Titanic sending up rockets oh yes they kept singing sending them up until the last minute kept going up all the time did you hear the music play yes yes do you remember what they play well and our paths the world singing them Nia my god to be but upstairs there were nine different sounds you know but I didn't hear the men because I was Russian for to get after the crowds or was with me but didn't want to lose them in the dark it was dark at night and you had to try to find their friends you know and then you when you were rescued in the car pays you you came on to America yes and you'll never be back to Allanson France we're never going to see again no no I like to going it's fine oh but then I get the chills and I say normal well thank you very much you're welcome this is Manny where were you when the iceberg struck the Titanic I was in the steerage solitaire clans you were emigrating to America my sister how old were you when I'm asked I would send 16 going through 17 right mrs.
