when we first brought felini home she wanted to say hi to cats but she was a puppy so saying hi means sprinting up to see them schnapps was very shy and scared right away pinot was out to prove that she was still the top animal in the house [Music] bellini looked up to the two cats she saw them as her big sisters and definitely was on a mission to make them her best friends pinot definitely put money in her place and because of that fellaini wanted to be best friends with you know even more [Music] pio was a foster fail for me she was abused before we took her so you had to work for pinot's love but she loved so hard as well schnapps was just a little loaf of love then at one point everything changed the broadcast into the bed they found that she had mass and shops started to show some signs of lymphoma so we started all of the chemo treatments every week i was at the vet with one of the cats it was a really hard time fellini started to sense when they were feeling really sick she would hop up on the couch and be very very calm like a different dog she definitely watched them more she turned into more of a motherly figure i think they really appreciated the love from bellini we knew that she knew what was going on [Music] schnapps was the first one to go they all kind of settled down right next to schnapps it was really peaceful and it was a lovely way to say goodbye to her for pinots last morning it was bellini's day for daycare we said say goodbye to pino and she gave pino the most gentle kiss on her face and that's something that they just did not do it was like again she just knew the next day fellaini was sat waiting for pino and we had to say she's not coming me her anxiety spiked during this time she had no real independence she just wanted to be around us because she was alone we said let's have her have some friends and we started fostering again we left them out of the kennel and i was sort of holding my breath and bellini was right there and grandpa went right up to bellini and rubbed up against her face and in between her legs and then scotch was soon to follow [Music] it was immediate with those kittens we kind of knew this was gonna be it with them she started to learn how to interact with them without frightening them she slowed down a little bit she learned to lay down so she'd be at their level she's really like a nanny to them i feel that pinot and schnapps brought these little kittens into our lives some of the way that they behave is very similar to pinot and schnapps scotch is a little bit more reserved kind of like schnapps and then grappa is all over the place testing the limits like pino seeing where bellini has come from it's really great that she can build friendships again i think our boots are healed it still hurts talking about it you have to be grateful for the time that you have with your animals their lives are shorter and they really lift them fully and it reminds you to be present in everything that you do with them [Music] you
